this feels like the old school fgc , SF6 brought back the fighting spirit that was missing from few years ago. When Street fighter is the best fighting game of the year, everything feels special.
I agree, but the lack of Offline premiers for CPT really limited the hype for the SF FGC this year. Hopefully they can add a bunch more, or an offline circuit. THIS is what fighting games are all about, not just a Zoom call commentating/spectating a quiet online match.
@@TheCJRhodes Nah, I like the way they did it this year. Most people don't have sponsors or a large travel budget they can use to fly around to various offline qualifiers, and it's nice to see representation throughout the world instead of a large concentration of Japan players with a handful of other players from other regions thrown in
@@retrosaur_ thats what the world warrior is about no need to online CPT premier on top of the world warrior events, its the online premiers they did instead of the noramlly offline events. this tournament for example was also used as a qualifier for Guilty gear for arc world cup, capcom can definitely do this on top of the world warrior and get rid of the online CPT events
Its why I love that Evo is back to doing in person events. I got into fighting games during 2020 so the lack of crowd reactions during online tournaments could be felt. Evo is gonna be so hype since I imagine Tekken 8 is gonna be the main game.
Damn what an amazing top 8 and that grand finals was hype af, kinda wished it that Duel Kevin & Punk stuck it through with their mains but it was. But I think the most highlights of the this tournament was the man on the thumbnail, who's says Zangief is bad needs to watch this tournament!
Glad Punk won, but he has to work on closing those championship rounds. We've seen it against Mena and a few others. Great job Dual Kevin. Great win Punk!
Its starting to get hard to watch him get over come with nerves time and time again in grand final matches. Understandable but its clear at this point that his mentality in those moments is a huge weakness for him.
This is the first time I’ve seen James Chen and Ultra David together since the SFIV days. They’re easily the best commentators and almost awesome enough to make the snooze-fest SFVI hype!
So many giefs that I admire and like to watch highlights of like snake eyes, itazan, kobayan etc…let me add Ramsey to that list. His gief is hype af. HE IS..ALMIGHTY!!
This tournament was fucking insane, zangief becoming the crowd favorite, dual Kevin hanging on for dear life, punk with the down to wire finish, was on the edge of my seat the whole run there were no losers imo
Happy ash to see Punk win. Literally everyone in the crowd was against him lol. I love seeing Luke players lose in the end. Even better he got 2/3 of his last rounds chasing him off luke
Ramsey run was amazing! Dual Kevin ONE SINGLE MISTAKE cost him the tournament! I was heartbroken but happy because Street Fighter is back after the previous no hype failure that was V.
