I make my own “granola’ with bashed nuts, seeds, unsweetened coconut shavings, egg whites, a little sweetener & maybe a few drops of extract &/or a spice. Mix, spread on a pan, bake, let cool completely & break apart. So flipping good! Get some plain Fage 0% greek yogurt, some fresh Blackberries & some of this granola crumbled on top ….💣 *I do use a little Lemon Elderflower Skinny Syrup mixed in the plain yogurt tho.

@@dietitianshelly girl I hardy go by a recipe. I’m one of those, but I would say 350 - 375 for abt 20ish minutes. Girl I know you’ll come up with something brilliant. Ima wizard in my own kitchen though!😂
The egg whites have to be frothed a bit first just foamy, then add in nuts & other ingredients. Toasting the nuts n seeds first helps also. Even the coconut flakes. So many options!

I so agree about the food industry & mainstream media. I did the low fat diet for years did loose weight but not sustained. Come to find out all the low fat foods were lased with sugars. I believe this is what caused the increase in type 2 diebetes we are seeing now. So so sad

Love your energy/ channel, new sub. I mix unsweetened yogurt, vanilla yogurt sometimes and cottage cheese together. Then add berries and unsweetened coconut. Amazing ❤
Just recently found your channel, I love that you connect with us by sharing your story, and I love love love the hacks too. I have Hashimotos disease, and some other autoimmune diseases. I can share that I have lost weight by following your nutrition advice even with Thyroid disease. I have a terrible sweet tooth so I will buy a Gatsby Dark chocolate fudge bar from Walmart, and it will last me a month, I satisfy my sweet tooth with a square or two, every few days, without the guilt. I don't eat dairy, sugar ( I use Allulose sweetner), bread or processed foods, and I am feeling much better, losing weight, and I have more energy. I drink water, herbal teas but mostly green tea, no red meat, mostly vegetables, fish, and chicken, it is working for me along with intermittent fasting 12 to 18 hours a day. Thank you so much for sharing.
i just worry about my cholesterol cause the doctor said im like at the level of a senior citizen in my late 20's. what on earth do i do, then!? cant eat NOTHING
I also have a diabetic mother, she was raised in the 70's and has all the nutrition misconceptions of the time. She believes that red meat, pork rinds, cheese and fried eggs are a bad part of her diet, and that whole grain bread, and beets are the better parts of her diet. How do I tell her that the bad part of the tortas and gorditas she like are not the delicious fillings, but the bread and dough??? She either won't believe me or tell me it's too much restriction. Damn, I wish I could help her.
People don't understand the difference Shelly, they want to count the calories not the carbs, now my saying is, see if you can convert the calories to sugars sorry but only the carbs are converted to sugars, so I eat very low in carbs and fast for 16 hours with great results
I'm eating out of stress yesterday, and I know later. Thank the Lord I cooked cabbage yesterday!! Of course my roommate made chicken gumbo! I gave up all white products, like rice, bread, potatoes! Besides yogurt, ice cream! Flour, OMG!! Everything! Hahaha! Ohh, and most fruit!! But today, Lordy, lordy, he only know what I'll be cramin' in my mouth today!! 🌀🌀🌀🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ohh, I'm hearing the wind now. Won't be having power long now! 8:07, was hoping to make it at least until 11~ 12. Have to watch the time, I hate losing my food in the fridge, & freezer. 2 hours fridge, 48 hours freezer.. Thank God for new levee's!!
