I believe that Shenzhen to work is a good city, but to study it isn't recommended because universities and academies are not as good as other cities in China, because Shenzhen is a very new city and getting prestigious academies and universities takes time. I think it's more interesting if you want to live in Shenzhen, go to study in Guangzhou or Hong Kong and later go to Shenzhen to work.With the exception of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen which is quite good but the tuition is much more expensive than other universities in China.

Don’t choose China. It has banned international students for over a year, and has no plan to have us back. It also suspended all scholarships. My director and teachers formally said online classes will last as long as the pandemic lasts, so anywhere from 3 to 10 years. I deeply regret enrolling at Peking University. I enrolled before the pandemic hit, and China made all foreign students do online classes at ungodly hours (2am) for over a year while paying FULL tuition. There are countless horror stories of depression on Twitter (follow #takeusbacktochina) and on Instagram (takeusbacktochina).

Nope, I'm so sorry to tell you so, but there some good universities near Shenzhen. Some great medical schools are located in Guangzhou and Zhongshan, these are cities that are very close to Shenzhen. It usually takes an one-hour ride on the train.
