A small correction, the weapon with the highest defense stat is the Dwarf Dagger, with a whopping +6 def. In fact, the Infinity Gravel only has a +1 def. So the highest defense stat would be 6 from the dagger, plus 3 from forging, plus 10 from rings, plus 7 from the boots, plus 5 from the rock candy, for a total of +31.
I used the dwarven sword as it still has a high defense stat but is more versatile. I also use an infinity gavel with +dmg and artful at the same time. So basically you can oneshot everything but also won't need to worry about dying. Defense build is pretty lackluster overall so it's best to not make the max defense a goal. If you want to cover everything just use 2 Crabshell Rings + 1 Immunity Band and 1 Iridium Band, then Mermaid Boots, and have Lucky/Burglar/HotJava rings ready for when you need them. Upgrade the Dwarven Sword with 3 Topaz, upgrade an Infinity Gavel with 3 Rubies, have a Slingshot with explosive ammo and have Expresso + Spicy Eel/Crab Cakes for extra buffs. This shouldn't have any drawbacks aside from having to carry extra stuff in the inventory. Also no need to rely on Yoba luck or Protection Rings.
@@altabalder Can confirm, I also use mermaid boots and immunity band so I don't have to worry about debuffs as they cause more problems than taking raw damage. The loss of HP can just be mitigated by eating food rather than loading up on defence. Like you said, infinity gavel +dmg with artful is the way to go. Most the time enemies gonna be knocked back and barely touch you and nothing to slow you down because no debuffs. I feel like this build is probably the strongest in the game.
"Players that often find themselves running straight into enemies and dying a tragic death" Yep, that pretty much describes me and my awful timing 🤣 Thanks for your videos. They've been helping me out a lot so you've gained a subscriber lol
Nice vids. Though in the dagger build you should go for iridium needle instead since it has the highest critical strike chance of any weapon. I remember that ConcernedApe himself told this type of build.
my favorite build imo is infinity blade iridium band + lucky ring combined and napalm ring + savage ring combined and vampiric enchant it feels like i can never die because its juust too good
@@aethanfriday3568 Just got the noti lol i never heard of the slime charmer so maybe its a new item? i'll check up in stardew to see what is my new fav build if probably
Exactly what is the difference between the Galaxy dagger and the iridium neddle?. It was easier for me to find the needle than to collect the materials for the dagger.
Both are good, it comes down to personal preference. From my experience, the infinity dagger is more reliable but the iridium needle can crit for bigger numbers
I plan to do an entire perfection series by uploading a video every single day until its complete! I hate the idea of quitting a series mid way, so I want to make sure I finish it before I even upload it
Crit build scales better whit luck bc critics its still rng so even whit 90% crit chance you can do 1 critic / 4 hits so the luck always make easier the game so always combine any ring whit lucky ring for skull cavern always use iridium x luck x 2 and for volcano x2 luck x burglar and i get almost everytime x2 cinder fragments
Could you combine the slime tamer ring with + the defense ring for 1 of your rings in the defense build? Considering how often you run into slimes in the mines, it might make you more tanky overall since you'd just take 0 damage from slimes
So i wanna try the Ol' Reliable build but i only have the mountain and beach obelisks and ive been saving gold (i have almost 1 mil). I have more than enough materials but should i go for another obelisk or keep saving money for the return scepter?
I’m new to this forging thing. I’ve seen that people use prismatic shards for the hammer build but I’ve used rubies 3 times. So can I still forge it with a prismatic shards after? Cos I thought you can only upgrade your weapons 3 times max
I don't think you have to be that low. Normally you find tons of them on prehistoric floors (which are always considered infested) but they appear occasionally throughout the floors as well. They're called Pepper Rex & do damage through their flaming breath. A pretty reliable way to get dino eggs.
