Slow walking a one-knocker spook is another great topwater to throw in May. The drawing power of the one knock from the tungsten along with the little bit of splash in the water, works great for heavily feeding fish and covering lots water. What I mean by slow walking is letting the spook finish its glide, like you would slow walking a frog. Don't let it sit still for longer than half of a second, keeping the spook in motion makes it look more natural. Hope whoever happens to read this finds this tip helpful!
Been throwing the freeloader a lot! Love it. Was able to take my family smallmouth fishing and we threw the bait without FFS and everyone caught something. Won my first tournament this year with it. Always tied on my friend!
J dub just pulled a 8 younder out some shallow Grass 5-18 with your buzz bait and then pulled a 5lb pounder out some shallow grass 5-24 on chatter bait. Love your videos and learn so much
I really like this year's format! Lots of juice in the series this year. I especially like seeing the bait and the setup. I have four of your rods and they give me confidence when fishing your new Crush City products.
Great video, very informative and helpful. Thanks for taking time to share your knowledge with everyone. My favorite part is when you said that you just want to help people to catch more fish. Thank you. Best of luck to you.
Great info! I Love the process of your education! Bait, retrieval, location, structure, weather condition, temp , water clarity, time of year .. helps us all break things down on our home lake as well as new lakes.. You Rock Sir !!
Just wanted to let you know. I've been bass fishing for 40 years. Just doing the shoreline fishing and such, but I watch a lot of your videos and other folks like yourself. Baits that I bought and never really used Baits that I never considered. I watch you guys explain them. I go out to my local lake and I Commit to fishing a lure for several hours. And through this process I've added about 10 new Baits to my repertoire. I really appreciate the detail you go into the videos. They Are just the right length. You're easy to listen to and you know what you're talking about. Thanks for the vid's keep up the great work. 0:00 On the humorous side I fished with an old buddy Tom Harbison. He used to tell me Faulkner,The only thing that Baits gonna catch it already caught When it got you at the store, you might as well put that thing in your box and never throw it in the water. That's what led to me using a very small amount of Baits over the years.
Yessir!!! Great vid. My favorite part was the tip on how to work the freeloader with slack line. The frog example was good. You’re legit man! You, DC,MDJ,AA are my favs for sure.
Went out today was unconfinident in the freeloader so I threw the mayor. Finally threw it no electronics 3 bass. Just gets heavy kinda like pulling through weeds. Very fun going for more tomorrow. What's the best color for a really stained chocolate river.
thanks for the great content! My favorite tip was about the freeloader and how there needs to be slack. I was at guntersville 2 weeks ago and couldn’t generate those off shore bites, but I think if I knew that I could’ve caught em. Thanks!
I met you at Dale hollow and I live in Crossville Tennessee I enjoy all of your videos I love getting all of the tips and enjoy all the shenanigans that go on in the house with all the other guys just keep it up
I've been fishing my entire life, but am new to fishing with plastics, starting this year. Already spent TONS on everything I should need to dive right in, but I have a question.....What's your opinion on Slobberknockers and SNAP Jigs?
There’s some good stuff in this one! Do you tune up your buzzbaits? I’ve heard of guys tying their buzzbait to their antenna on the hood of their truck or something similar. Etc.
Man you’re so good at helping Learning anglers try new things with proper gear and new bait,. I live in Ontario Canada Would free loader work with wallaye?
I'm in Missouri and my local lake is 14 feet high up in the flooded bushes.Im having a hard time getting on the fish. What would you suggest other than jig fishing? Sinkos are hit and miss.
Thank you. We are in the month of May and my wife doesn't like getting up early. Well, I made her listen to this video. Again , THANK YOU. She understands now. Now the "monkey" is on your back. lol. I have said this for a long time. You just confirmed me.
Hey man good info. If I click your video I aim to watch it all. I'm doing it for info cuz your much better than me and I learn from this channel. I mentioned sending you an email about something couple weeks ago. Life and softball games happened. I will get with ya shortly sir. I used your gr/pump. Craws today in a buddy's pond and got me 5 today that was fun. The claws seem to hold up well to little pesky blue gill. I was able to turn the bait around for 1 more fish which was nice. Kinda hard to do that with the crazy legs chigger craw... keep the videos up. Helps me think there's actually fish in ohio waters
J dub, I have been absolutely struggling the last few weeks. I'm a shore guy for the most part right now because my partners rig is missing in action. Literally (long story) but anyways I've been bank angling and I am by no means a newcomer but since the spawn I can't buy a bite. P.s. on watts bar I know I know but any advice for me brother? I've been literally throwing everything I can think of. And the few bites I have got the last few weeks I've missed them either on the hook set or they've been short strikes (visibly seen). Heeeellllppppp!!!!
And he didn’t even know how to fish in high school till people showed and helped him. Now look to me he’s maybe one out of ten. DC. Is number one Drew Gill Marshall. Both Jones and MDJ. Adrian. Alice Rudd. Tactical passing group. O and JW. Lmao.
I see you're still using duckett reels. I use them and really like them it's too bad they have quit making them. You need to get the rights from duckett and start manufacturing under the wheeler reels name.
Why don’t you have Accent make a buzzbait with the mods you make so you don’t have to cut the lead down and have them not put a skirt with it so people can put there own plastic on it
Turn off my electronics???? How would I ever be able to catch fish I heard you can’t even fish without them 😂 all jokes aside great tips love these kind of videos where you break stuff down
Awesome video, WOW Makes me think that a video series of where bass usually are by water temperature! I would love that, temperature is a way of making it consistent for us northern fisherman. Thanks for your time Sir
If I want a smaller profile buzzbait I’ll cut the skirt thin and short and put a small craw or swimbait on it to match the hatch of the forage. Thats about the only time I’ve used a skirt recently. Rod setup is a 7 ft medium/ heavy 40lb braid
@@WheelerFishingPretty cool with your schedule and family you responded. Good luck the rest of the season. I’m picking up my first bass boat next week and looking forward to it.
