If you're just starting your business, as a dba/sole proprietor with intentions to become an llc, had you still apply for these grants? I noticed you mentioned S-corp, llc, etc but not sole proprietor

This is from the SBAs website: -SBA does not provide grants for starting and expanding a business. -SBA provides grants to nonprofit, Resource Partners, and educational organizations that support entrepreneurship through counseling and training programs. (Like the SBDC, SCORE, WBC, & VBOC)

Thank you so much for this informative video. I noticed "sole-proprietorship" wasn't listed under "legitimate business". Was this an oversight or have you found that only LLCs and corporations are considered for grants?
Correct, grants are typically government awarded & only recognizes Organized Entities like LLC, SCorp, etc. Sole proprietorships are treated as Individuals for Tax purposes.
