I know this one is a bit simple and maybe not super popular, but I like Versace Dylan Turquoise. I used up an entire bottle of Mugler Alien Goddess last summer.
Since you love honeysuckle, I will share this with you. Annick Goutal le Chevreuille. It is a very honest honeysuckle with a green opening. Not too sweet, fresh floral. Elegant. Thank you for another thoughtful video!
I’m loving my miss dior, flowerbomb ruby orchid & Vince camuto ciao when it’s really hot. There are others I love but those are some I can’t stop reaching for
I buy fragrance free cream and body oil so my fragrances can sing. Sometimes I mix my fragrance with my oil or cream to make a prefumed body product. It saves money on purchasing expensive body products.
I live in a very hot climate and literally for like 6-7 months it is impossible to wear anything but freshies . I go through 2 bottles of Light Blue every year, I also wear L'imperatrice a lot, Versense by Versace, Aqua di Parma Arancia di Capri, Terracotta by Guerlain, Idôle by Lancôme and Coco Mademoiselle EDT now and then mostly in the evenings. I also have a few samples of the new Dolce and Gabbana fragrance called Q which I think you've mentioned in one of your videos. It's very pleasant and refreshing to me. Thank you for your video. I am always open to trying new summer fragrances..
Hi there! Light Blue is a designer masterpiece and even though mine doesn’t get much wear these days….I can’t get rid of it! It’s my hot weather t shirt go to! 😁☀️
Hey Chris, I like your videos so much! Even though it's cheap and underrated , Green Tea by Arden is so fresh, mild and elegant in my opinion very summer appropriate. Still its longevity is poor but I don't mind since it's an affordable fragrance. I also wear Iris by Prada which I find fresh🍃💦 and chic, as well as Cloe Nomad the original. I recently bought Aqua Di Parma Osmanthus and I liked its freshness, it's got a slight sweetness , very clean, crisp, white shirt scent. ❤ from🇬🇷 Hellas!
That's really interesting that you recommended that one because even though Histoires De Parfum's "1889 Moulin Rouge" is a powdery, sweet woody Iris that's meant to smell of a vintage Parisian theatre backstage, to me it INSTANTLY brings back memories of all my past summer holidays in 5 star hotels. Y'know when you walk into the lobby, near the huge expensive flower displays, down the plush corridors and eventually pass chic women in casual dress on their way out for breakfast and you catch everything mingling in one fragrant backdraft of sorts? THAT'S what I get from 1889. Just as you wrote about Prada's 'Infusion d'Iris', I feel that 1889 has a very fresh, elegant, happy summer vibe. I wonder if I'm the only one who sees 1889 as a summer fragrance?!
@CiganyWeaver and her periwinklebluespacecaravan I've never heard of 1889 Moulin Rouge, but I am intrigued by your opinion on how it smells! I will have to get a sample, because it sounds like something I would enjoy. Thanks 😁
Light Blue Love is Love is an amazing summer scent. Wish it hadn’t been a limited edition. Much prefer it to the original with the raspberry and ice cream notes. I also love wearing my Alien Goddess and Alien Iced Star. Wish the Iced Star had more staying power, but a love nevertheless ❤️
Poolside Sunday is always a great way to start my day. Light Blue has always been an easy reach for me. We seem to be having an extended spring in GA. We finally hit 89 yesterday and to be honest I’m okay with it. I’m sure July and August will more than make up for it.
Love the poolside videos … perfect for the season! I’d also add Dior “Eden-Roc” which I layer over Body Shoppe coconut body butter. I get luxury vacation vibes from it. ☀️👙 🏖
I just bought Radiant Mirage in Barcelona airport and watching your review is comforting me that I 'm going to enjoy it 100%!!(I love Gris Dior 💕) Thank you!!!
@@ThePerfumeNest I still have to test it on skin (didn't want to wear it during the flight) but yes, at first sniff on paper it's the same feeling (very happy scent for me 😄) I really want to get home and test it properly ahah !!
Stopped at our Ulta this afternoon. They finally had the new Black Opium tester out. Sprayed it on my left arm. Ocean di Goia on my right. Kept smelling my arms all afternoon. Loved the Black Opium. Telling myself it is my next purchase. A few hours later I asked my husband’s opinion. He preferred the Ocean di Goia. Said my Black Opium smelled like chemical cotton candy. ☹️
The best honeysuckle for me is Lady White Snake, I actually got this Gucci in hopes that it would be similar, but that one is much more prominent with the honeysuckle (thus much nicer I would say).
@@ThePerfumeNest the acqua vitae Forte is the best IMO, but they're pricey. I actually want to try the new one in the green bottle when i can get over to Nordy's
i just blind bought the Versace Versence on your manyyy recommendations and I love it! Bright, fresh, citrusy without being screechy, unisex, the bottle is gorgeous. I live in a hot climate and I'm so happy to have this in my summer rotation! Thank you @theperfumenest! I also am wearing Fusion d"Issey by Issey Miyake- a fresh masculine coconut with a woody base, which is a delight. And Kenzo's World Power, a sweet but salty vanilla. I'm waiting for Nautica Voyage now...i love a good sea note. I need to try D&G's Light Blue....!
I really like Gucci Bloom & flankers, they’re not mentioned often it’s nice to hear them talked about! 🌸 (The birds singing in the background so sweet 🥰 )
Oh I know the birds are adorable. I noticed a cardinal in the bushes behind me during editing. There is a pair that like to take baths in my fountain. 🥰
Even though they don't perform well at all, I'm partial to tea-forward fragrances for high summer. Jo Malone's Rare Tea Collection was SENSATIONAL and I'm still cross to think of how soon they were all discontinued. They were PERFECT tea fragrances. For now, I stick to Wulong Cha by Nishane and Qi by Ormonde Jayne. For fig and sandalwood, I'll stick with Oscent Rouge by Alexander J. My favourite all time summer fragrances are Tanger and Ambre Royale by Ormonde Jayne, Rivalite Imperiale by Plume Impression, Le Chypre du Nil by Ciro, Ivory Route by Xerjoff, Cio Cio San by MDCI, Suiren by Parfum Satori and Di Ser's 'Adameku' and 'Akanesasu'. All masterpieces. But all Japanese fragrances are considered poor performers for most non-Japanese fragrance lovers. This is all by design so the lack of tenacity or sillage are not flaws in composition but deliberate considerations for social and cultural reasons, so I comprehend that and overlook them all being so gentle and low on projection. I don't care, they're all so exquisite and perfect for the hottest days that I'm happy to touch up multiple times. Thank you for sharing your faves Chris, I loved hearing you rhapsodise! 💖🌴🍹
I live in Virginia, along the southern coast and it's going to be in the 60s today, on June 4th. I'm so ready for the warmth/heat of summer. I'm ready for the perfumes of summer too.
I recommend "Rose Passion" from Jimmy Choo. It's a wonderful coconut fragrance that smells so elegant. I love it, and it lasts really long on the skin❤
Another great video! For summer, I have a fondness for aquatic notes. Designer-wise, I like Bronze Goddess Azur and Wonderlust Eau de Voyage. I also like Donna Karan Coconuts About Summer for a nice, fun designer coconut scent. Edit: I forgot about salt notes! To me, salt screams summer days and beaches.
I wore Donna Karan's 'Cashmere Mist' (the one in the original frosted glass bottle) for years as my summer fragrance. The print ad was a black and white photo of someone in a thick knitted sweater, so that confused me as it screams summer to me.
The original Kate Spade was soooo good. I don’t know why they discontinued it. None of their other fragrances are near as good. I adored the original. I had the original Marc Jacobs too. I love Honeysuckle and have a huge bush/vines in our backyard.
A few skylar aren’t carried by my Sephora and are not included in the discovery set…that is one of them unfortunately. 🤦♀️I’m still trying to get my hands on a sample
I enjoyed your summer fragrance video, mine out by Versace Versence Eros pour femme, English Promenade, coco vanille, coconut nana’s, Holidays, Dolce & Gabbana Garden, Shine so many more!
We also had a very hot day in NJ last week. Spot on Burberry in the hot weather, yes! I agree. I love the Chanel Chance eau vive (eau fraiche is nice too). Haven't tried the other Chanel yet. I'm loving Sci fi from Ellis Brooklyn. Think sweet Lemon ginger. I will have to try the honeysuckle ones too, which I love!
I just love how different some perfumes feel and smell on other people. On the contrary, when I wear Narciso Rodriguez I feel like an ice queen. So weird.
Hey Chris! 😊Happy Sunday! It’s 89° here as well so it’s nice to have a virtual trip to your backyard pool paradise!🌺 These videos are so great… Can’t wait for all you have planned this summer! 😊 ☀️ (PS… Today I was in the mood for some tropical vibes… Wearing Mancera Holiday… One spritz is perfect and yummy! )
@@ThePerfumeNest I know! .., it’s uncharacteristically warm… But I’m here for it after this long cold winter without a spring! Also, our central air conditioner malfunctioned last night and now needs to be fixed. So I guess I’m coming over to your pool!😍. I wish! 🙏😊
Hello Chris - love your picks. I crave Eau des Merveilles Hermes (the OG) and Lime Basil and Mandarin (of Jo Malone can be considered designer), along with Zen and Light Blue in the smmer. A fabulously fragranced season ahead. Looking forward to pool and beach time :+) Your daughter is lovely! Thanks for another great video, Chris. Tipping my glass your way.
I love Eau de Merveilles and Zen too, how lovely to find someone who loves them too. Neither are commonly mentioned in YT fragrance videos, nor mentioned in comment sections. ☺
@@itsmecsmythe My thoughtful, detailed reply comment to you has been deleted. Not by me. Just wanted to let you know. I wish I had the energy to retype it.
Great list! I love the Gucci Bloom line, too! In the summer I tend to reach for men’s colognes as well - those bright citrus frags! Thameen Fanfare is great! Les Indemodables Escale en Haiti, Chanel Cristalle ❤️🙏🙏❤️
The Chanel PaRis line just like you mentioned is light and nice for the summer and I think I have three . I also love Chanel chance. Loving cherosa 62. Thanks for sharing . Great video.
Fantastic list!! I picked up Zen 🧡 thanks to you and I love to wear it to work during summer!! The whole Chloé Atelier des Fleurs Range got me very curious, I really have to go get my nose on them!! I loved how your face illuminated when you talked about your daughter 🥰 🤗! Have a beautiful Sunday 💕💕
@@ThePerfumeNest Aww 🥰 That's so sweet 🥲🤗🤗🥰 Yeeees 🙌 The Cedrus and Hibiscus are great choices!! I also want to try the Ylang Cananga and the Iris one, and I love the whole idea of layering them between each other ✨!! 💕
Can you believe how hot it is already?! We were up in the 90s last week (Tulsa). Ok, now I have to try Vanilla Planifolia! 😅 Green vanillas are my fave! This one sounds like it might be similar to Angelique Noir or Lalique, but lighter.
Omg! I have BO le Parfum! Love it! It is so beautiful for the fall and winter. I got lucky and use YSL 25 coupon. My designer summer cheapies are too many! Lol! CK Red; a refreshing watermelon! So good! Zara’s Vetiver Pompemousse and Almafi Sunray ! D&G Love is love, that ice cream and raspberry sherbet note so so good! I Love cheap and Chic by Moschini is my go to for scorching hot days! Just as good as D&G Light blue! Lastly Masaki Fluo! Such a hidden gem! So light and fruity! Great video! Have a great day
Fluo is a nice and inexpensive fruity scent!!! So nice for hot days!!! Very refreshing! But, with your collection: it might be redundant! But for me; it’s a staple for when I want to smell fresh and pretty and not doing too much! Lol
Marc by Marc Jacobs was my signature fragrance for YEARS after it was launched and I don't remember any honeysuckle. It was a fresh, zingy & sophisticated tuberose & gardenia scent. I do love honeysuckle though, grew up with it, so it makes sense I enjoyed this fragrance if it was playing in there with the white florals.
Hi Chris! New subbie (found your thru your collab with Sharida.). Fellow Texas (Houston) gal here! I absolutely love your content and personality (not necessarily in that order 😂). A great list as always! Zen and Chanel Eau Fresh are staples in the Texas heat. Today I’m wearing Twilly and I think it stands up to the complexity of frigid AC mixed with the blast of heat and humidity outside. I also appreciate Korres White Tea. I’m not sure if they are technically designer but wanted to share. Cheers
@@ThePerfumeNest I believe I sent you my decant a long time ago! I liked it but it’s a sweeter version of Gris Dior so for me it would have been redundant.
@@marianahernandez8306 now that you mention it…I think that’s the one I thought smelled similar to Bottega Vanetta the OG? But seeeter? Coming back now!!!!????
I absolutely love gucci bloom nettare di fiori, I didnt try the ambrosia di fiori but nettare di fiori is honeysuckle too, and is a little indolic. Gucci blooms are beautiful, but im not sure i need more than one.
I have Paris-Paris and I will add Paris-Venice on to my wishlist😍😍. It’s so difficult to get a full bottle of Burberry Her edt over here, I only saw a 10ml rollerball so I will have to try that since I’ve been very curious about this fragrance 😱😱. I have a travel spray of Narciso For Her edp but I love the edt more😉😉. Love your list👌👌. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰
@@ThePerfumeNest I haven’t been as talkative much lately, everyone in my family looks to me to solve problems and I’ve been mentally exhausted lol but I’ve been around still ♥️
I am excited to use chabaud's caprice de Sophie and ck in2u this summer. The first is a really pretty fruity floral with a raspberry note that I love. The second one was a recommendation of another YT who does fragrance videos (ksenja) and its a fresh fruity green one - it is really inexpensive but has a cactus note and its gorgeous. So one is niche and the other is not but in the heat I think they will be beautiful. A couple others are wulong cha by nishane and fig infusion by essential Parfums. I think all of those one will be in rotation for sure for the hot weather. I have yet to try Burberry edt vs edp I got a sample of both not too long ago from sephora so eager to test them.
Ah hi! Yes I’ve shown CKIN2U several times (mostly last year). It’s a great freshie I agree!! And I’ve been wanting to try the new Chabaud fragrance because I love raspberry!! 🙌
Hi Chris ! I love your poolside videos ☺... I have a complicated relationship with my "vanilla planifolia"... to my nose it's airy and powdery yet strong and very long lasting (I bought it on vinted about a year ago... maybe an older version ?)... and a bit cloying to my nose in the end, probably because I'm not the biggest fan of powdery notes and although vanilla and spices round it I smell a fluffy mimosa in there, wich comes powdery to me (or could it be linden blossm?). Plus I'm even pickier with vanillas than I thought I was. Yet it's a beautiful and unique fragrance, ethereal indeed 🙂. Concerning YSL Black Opium le parfum, although it's also too vanillic for me to wear, I find this version to be MUCH more rounded and in the end much better than the rest of the line. One of my favourites for the summer is the las Narciso Rodriguez "for her forever"... the longevity is terrible, but I've finally found "my" Narciso ... really smells divine !
Oh I agree with you about the Black Opium Le Parfum. It’s the only BO I can wear. I’m hoping my VP will become a little stronger. But if it doesn’t it’s still perfect to me. ❤️
Love your videos ❤ I've never really been a 'freshie' person but I wear fragrances like Chanel Chance eau fraiche / tendre, Chanel No 5 L'eau, Paco Rabanne Olympea in warmer months. And Sol de Janeiro 62 and 40 body mists. I feel like I have to check out the Burberry Her edt!😊
@@ThePerfumeNest I have a bottle of the Marc Jacobs. I’ve had it for a long time, and I think it still smells beautiful. I’m kind of shocked that it still smells nice.
I wore angel nova yesterday and headed to an art fair. Multiple people came into my tent and said wow it smells good, what are you selling? 🤣 I was so confused. I had gone completely nose blind to it. But it's one of my go to for the summer and it apparently LASTS AND PROJECTS
@@ThePerfumeNest oh my goodness that’s a hard one to pick from. But I’m going with Ormande Jayne because the pink pepper note is so perfectly blended 😍
Nice selection. Mine are Aqua and Ocean di Giola...Margiela Replica Beach Walk! They just transport me to the beach where I would love to spend the whole summer but unfortunately bills need to be paid and I have to work.. besides, I live in the Midwest and the ocean is very far away 😢
I know you don’t like talking about discontinued fragrances, but Dior used to make Sweet Sun which I adored for summer. It was a non alcohol fragrance and I still can’t get it out of my head!
Hi Kris! I meant to tell you I love the pool and you look literally 25 in your shades! Your skin is gorgeous, I'm jealous lol. Thanks for the recommendations as always.
A Drop D’Issey, YSL Mon Paris Couture, Lanvin Eclat De Arpege and Modern Princess, Warm NY (I know I HAVE to get this to you after 100 years. I am so sorry!), Michael Kors White, Kalotinis-Aegean Salt and Citrus or Plumeria, Bobbi Brown Beach and lastly, Kai
