That’s a great idea, I use the HAGZ brackets a lot with 3/8 in fiberglass poles, the issue I have the creek bottoms around me are rock so you can’t drive in fiberglass or steel.
I love this idea, mostly for those areas the water is more than a foot deep, stacking rocks that high is tough at times. This would serve greatly. I want you to know I watched your stack rock for mink video this past season and I set just one set to try, I had a Montgomery #2 SJ. I caught 2 mink in that set in 2 weeks. I knew I messed up by not putting more sets like that out. So thank you and thanks for sharing your ideas and methods to bettering my catch on mink, cannot wait to get back out there this season. Have a BLESSED day and keep SHARING your PASSION
Great idea. Weld a 1 in tube that would receive 3/8 in. Fiberglass rod on the bottom. Weight reduction. Can double up for baited rat set also and can use as a bottom edge with110 and top edge combo.
Me likey! I HATE RR tie plates......is there a way to add a body grip clip to it as well? That would make it even more versatile and let me rely on RR tie plates even less!
Todd. I think your design is definitely a great idea. I see a lot of advantages with this setup. Todd I follow your mink videos very closely. Wanted to ask you on your top edge bridge sets do use any lure at this set. If so how or is it strictly a blind set.
I do not use lure mainly because I don’t want to catch raccoons. I often wondered if lure would add a few more muskrats to my catch but didn’t try it because of the raccoon issue.
Too much weight. Sticks into the mud and cable with a disposable earth anchor. Good idea for trapping out of the vehicle. Too much weight for floating the water
