What's your height ? And Your Personal best lifts in bench , squat and deadlift . Also you're the best fitness channel I found even my gf knows bout ya !
Paul, you're Blessed and Unstoppable with God within!! Now you just have to become the calisthenics athlete you were meant to be and be a leader in the RU-vid community.
Doing a particular movement 10 times to complete failure gives you a PUMP! And that pump you get makes you feel like a MAN! I can totally relate to that analogy, and have inwardly thought it many a time, as I've worked out for many a year. But this is the first time I've ever heard anyone come out and say it that way. You have this Open sort of honesty that just flows out verbally...I like that. Good to have you back!
i still remember when i started watching you at 2012 and i was just able to do 6 pul ups , and you man motivated me as hell man thats why i am able to do 40 pull ups today with good form . paul you are a real legend ! you gave me inspiration and motivation till today !! i loved the way you working out and doing pull ups muscle ups push ups . i own you a lot paul , please dont quit or give up again .. doesnt matter the reason . so so happy that you are back bro
I remember watching u in middle school u got me into all of this welcome back I hope ur feeling better mentally, less stressed and happier !! Missed ur vids
I used to watch your videos a couple of years ago. During a time when I was at my peak performance, I looked up to you for inspiration. I watched you progress in your life and reassess your priorities, I was happy for you when you got married, I admired that you never approached training with the prevailing shallowness of vanity or eagerness towards superiority. Instead you spoke about your faith, and that gave you substance and credibility in my eyes. And now I found you again, and we're both training in the shadow of the strength we once reached. I used to be driven towards pushing my limits, these days I believe it takes humility and the courage to act from where I stand now; putting a healthy distance between me and where I remember I once stood. It isn't worse at all, on the contrary it feels more grounded, more humble, and that has always been at the core of I sought from training. I'm glad to see you doing well. I look forward to our progress.
Mehdi Amine But what’s negative about pushing your physical limits? We are not made to stand on one place. You can push your limits but still be humble. It’s not about what you personally archive and can show to the world - it’s also not about showing to yourself what you can archive and boast about it - it’s about being a better version of yourself everyday (spiritually by avoiding past mistakes, physically by breaking your yesterday limit) for the sake of god and his creation. We are not fish swimming with the stream, we are alive, swimming against the stream, physically and mentally. Being alive means growing. (Speaking in a Christian sense).
keep up,when i started watching you i wasn't able even do 1 pullup, now im able to do 25-30 pullups, watching you... THANK YOU ! YOU will get in shape, just train 1 month and you will be able to do 30 pullups again, your body is awesome at calisthenics
Fortress for life. Go glad he is back so i can finally learn and follow the legend. I first heard of the name in a Chris Heria video comment section from like 3 years ago but never knew who Fortress was. I am so proud to subscribe to this man -he does it right, so humble. God bless.
Man, it's good to have you back. What i love about Paul's vids is the rawness and simplicity of it. Not much editing but who the fuck cares about those. What's been keeping me a fan of Paul is the way he teaches and how simple of a man he is. Doesnt give a damn even if he wipes his shirt to the poles, or do workout on the ground or wtv. We feel you Paul, started from the bottom, now you're on your way back to the top. Bring back the King bruh. We'll be supporting you from here on forward, just like the good ol days.
Had some health problems and injuries that caused me to let go of my training for a few years now and give up. In my late 20's now and have an ambition to get back in shape, but not only that but surpass anything I achieved in the past. Targets are good for the mind too, as sometimes after physical problems the mind is left in low state too. I have always liked your style of delivery and it is good to see you back. I'll be keeping up with your journey and while I may not be able to match what you acheive, it's not about that. We all have our own targets and journeys, it's great to get inspiration and advice form someone I see as a down to Earth and logical guy. The comments in this channel tend to be positive and reasoned, which shows what a good audience you can attract too.
I really hope you consider bringing your MyFortress channel back at some point or another. You taught me so much not only here, but from speaking and sharing your faith on that channel. You truly brought me closer to fitness, my own body, and god. For that, I will forever thank you.
I think the one thing I liked the most about your videos back in the day... is the REALNESS in them. None of the "HEY GUYS, LISTEN TO THIS 1 LITTLE TRICK THAT WILL DECREASE YOUR BODY FAT BY A MILLION PERCENT" clickbait/fake enthusiasm bullshit... just a guy working out and showing us what he knows is useful. Good to see you back, man! 😎
Hello Pavel, Thank you for coming back. I remember when you started in your earlier videos you were very big. Bro, you look good. We all miss you. Like you’ve said before, Bodyweight and Calisthenics exercises will get you big. Your muscle hypertrophy will come back quickly. Keep it up. Thanks, Chris.
Its really motivating to see u eorkou having a good body then just quitting and having a normal body snd then go on back to train again. Its inspiring and shows we all human
I started working out because of you. It was 9 years ago. I've seen your first ever youtube videos too, they were not workout related. It's been a while. Happy to see you back.
I never thought I would see you again, I'm more than happy after seeing you back to calisthenics , you are the guy who taught me most of the things I know now about it, Glad that you're back bro
It’s crazy how much Develpment you lost while rebuilding yourself as a man these past few years. I’m glad to see you back, have fun and enjoy your journey back into strength.
I'm glad you're back! You're a big part of how I lost 40 pounds a couple years ago. I've put it all back on, unfortunately, but I am just now starting to get back into it and being serious with becomming healthier. I've got my first ever gym membership, too!
Man soooo good to see you back! You were such an inspiration to me! Thanks to you, I've learned a lot about calisthenics. Like many things other people don't talk about and your videos always motivated me. Now I'm even doing my own videos now to motivate other people and hopefully help them one day. You never did something selfcentered, you were always helping and motivating so many people. I hope you won't see it that way anymore. I'm so excited for new videos from you and your progress. Would love to see more calisthenics content. Maybe something about what you still can or can't do anymore? That would be interesting. Keep pushing, you're such a warrior! All the best to you and your family and greetings from Germany!
Hey Fortress, I love your videos, they are so real with your values and I respect you a lot, keep making your wholesome content cause you're a really good role model and I relate to them a lot. All the best for your channel, really cool to see you back😁
Thank God you're back man. I kinda coincidentally went through a lot of the same stuff and took a whole fitness hiatus like you did, and you're really inspiring me to come back, I lost so much giving it up, and whilst it didn't automatically make me some super moral person, the discipline for sure helped me in other ways in my life, and my outlook was a lot more positive.
I cant believe my eyes i thought you were gone for good, you are the guy who inspired me to start doing pull ups and calisthenics when i was 13 i am now 20 and would of never got to where i am without you, glad to see you back Paul its a breath of fresh nostalgic air to say the least. Keep the videos coming :)
WOW MAN! Thank you so much for such kind words. I'm SO grateful for the opportunity to impact people's lives. I believe in you man! JUST BE KIND, CONSISTENT, AND ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT YOU WORKING TOWARDS SOMETHING IN YOUR LIFE. And I'm also planning to post videos at least once a week!!
Glad to see you back bro. Im 22 now and about to have a family. I remember when i was in high school watching your videos. Heck even your wedding (livestream didn't work😪). Keep up the good work. God bless you brother.
Paul! Continuity with you past is a good thing! Your matter-of-fact remark, that muscle failure might require two or three SETS, was new to me. Congratulations, and best wishes!
What’s up brother, good to see you back. Always respected your work ethic and the clean reps. I’m a calisthenics burpee guy myself, I would love to do a colab with you.
damn.King of Calisthenics is back. i dont hate gym but paul believe me or ask any of your subscriber...you are made for calisthencs. The spirit you gained everytime when your chin was above the bar, i cant express in words. Dont leave bodyweight training at all. we want planche...malteste everything from u now. You are a calisthenics athlete
Wow. You got me where I am today. I'm so glad to see you in good health! You're one of those people to impact others in ways unimaginable. Thank you and cheers!!
No it hasn't kicked in. I can max 20+ clean & proper pull ups, weighing around 175. Fortress is probably roughly around the same weight, give or take 10-15 pounds. The difference between us is that his strength/aesthetics are levels beyond me. If he kept working out for a month, he should at least double his stats. And I know his name really isn't Fortress.
He’s back! I’ve just started making some of my own training videos. Can’t believe you were the first account to get me into training in my teens. I hope all is well with you and your family! Thank you for inspiring me 🙏
Dude I’m so glad you’re back at it even though I totally supported your reason for quitting! I really wonder how your muscle has stayed with you so well though. When i stopped for like half a year I was a twig.
That's a really good question man! I mean, I have been working as handyman for the past few years so I guess that helped me save some of my muscles. However, as I said in the video, "The muscles are still with me, but the strength is not" lol>
Keepp uploading! Document all your jworkouts again and make it like a COMEBACK series. Would love to see videos by videos on how you gain back all of your strength. And welcome back Paul!
Glad to see you in good health. Right now Im training for one arm pull doing 5-6 sets of 5 of assisted grabbing my forearm. Never give up. Never surrender.
I first started working out 4 years ago the start of my high school years after I saw your top 3 body weight exercises for biceps. I have actually come really far and got inspiration because of you. Thank you
Hey Pavel Don't forget to warmup really well before each workout. As we get older it becomes more and more important to warm our bodies up not to injure. Of course you probably already know this but I don't want you to get injured because you're getting back to it after such a long time. Heads up to everyone else getting older with me too haha
great to see you back Fortress, 6 years ago your videos took me from seeing guys like Hannibal and being interested to actually getting into calisthenics.
Bout time he’s back haha! I started watching you when I was first starting out getting in shape. So much motivation for me and still watching the old videos to this day! Start going ham and keep posting videos man!
Man, I love that you’re sticking to your roots and trying to help people like the old days. You’re a very humble person man, btw I can’t seem to find your Instagram? @thef0rtress doesn’t exist apparently
Yeah man, you're right! That's the point. So, that instagram that you mentioned really does not exist. I have my own personal instagram though. I'm not posting there a lot. However, I am planning on starting a separate instagram for workouts and stuff like that! I'll let y'all know.
