Oh I have that IT brush and I never thought of using it to BUFF!!!! Ok I’m gonna try that with my meteorites. Thanks for the idea. The Sonia G fusion brushes are great! I love all her brushes but the fusion are extra special.

Great review Tania!I am fairly new to your channel and I love your reviews, tutorials and your whole persona! I agree with you, Rephr makes some of the best brushes, I think I have them all with the exception of 2. Wayne Goss also makes wonderful brushes. I have 1 full set and add on every once and a while. Sonia G, great brushes too! Sigma in my opinion has some very good brushes that are less expensive. I have never tried Real Techniques but based on your review and opinion I will most definitely try them out for cream products. I'm not a professional but I just LOVE all things makeup❤

I think you will like them. It seems everybody that buys the BK brushes are happy with them. I think I like my Rephr brushes a bit better. But the BK brushes are great as well.

Thanks to you I now own the Sonia G jumbo base, classic base and I just purchased the small base and a cheek one 😆 the price tag hurts but once you try them you see why 😍😍😍 there’s a few Wayne goss ones I have been eying and that under eye powder brush is one of them 🙈 but I’ll wait. Thank you for the video, very interesting❤️. I love Rephr Brushes, Sonia G (I recently bought Face pro for bronzer, Soft Cheek for blush and am very satisfied). I also like the Real Techniques brushes. I can recommend Flat Definer by Sonia G, Soft Shader, it packs the eyeshadow so well on the lid, Worker Pro (is a bit smaller than Rephr 01) and I like the 29 brush by Rephr, very small and precise.

I have a weakness for brushes…mostly for high quality brands.. enjoy listening professional muas describe their performance and mostly how to use them and with which products etc…. if you own the best and you don’t know how to use them what’s the point ? I recommend the Sonia G. Face Pro brush for bronzer. It’s also great for powder. The Inochige Pro is great all purpose brush. I like to travel with it because it can be used in so many ways. It can be used for precise applications (highlighter, blush, under eye powder) by using the tip or side; and all over (bronzer and face powder) by spreading out the bristles.

The Rephr brush 21 might be a Kolinsky/Sable blend with synthetic. Sable hair is my favorite for creamy/wet formulas.

Adore watching brush videos!! You have seriously influenced so many of my brush purchases over the last year. I was always a real techniques girl, and then I was introduced to Rephr, Wayne Goss & Sonia G 😍 I never understood the hype of these until I gave them a try! I have such sensitive skin around my eyes and I love that none of these are scratchy or irritating. I had picked up the WG eye brush set earlier this year but somehow misplaced a few and reached out to Beautylish when I couldn’t find them on the website anymore to reorder and they sadly informed me his eye brushes were being discontinued and not returning 😭 You need the Sonia G niji pro for bronzer, I’m obsessed and have not put it down since I got it!!! Loved this video, super helpful ❤️

Thanks for doing this! I have wanted to try out the Sonia G brushes for awhile but have yet to pull the trigger. I have many of the Rephr and love those. I really enjoy BK Beauty brushes too! So, I'm planning on picking up that WA peau de peche during the sale. What brush would be another option for that since I don't have the Sonia G? How does it apply with fingers? Thanks Tania!

I think any dense synthetic brush will work. I used my fingers for the longest time, then I used the merit brush, then i discovered the Sonia G brush!

I have a ton of the Rephr brushes you showed. Funny how that last Wayne Goss brush you showed looks so much like a smudge eye contour brush. Speaking of which, Laura Mercier made the best smudge brushes for years (a great, current alternative is the Chanel Eye-Contouring Brush N°203). My personal favorite brush though - the one I think everyone should have in their collection - was Mercier's Smoky Eye Liner brush. I still have several. I used to lay down some cream and then use the brush to press on powder to deepen the effect, or even mix colors. I think Mercier still makes them, but in synthetic now. Chanel currently has a great one too: Eyeliner Brush N°205. A smaller eyeliner brush is handy too (I have YSL and Bobby Brown, and I see that Rephr [#34] has one too) because you can press cream, liquid, and powder into your lashline using the sides and even tip of the brush. You then build the smoke from there with more product and other brushes. My eyes don't respond well to product on the inner rims, so those are some of my tricks.

For those with smaller eyes, the Rephr hooded eye brush set is very nice. They are so soft on my sensitive lids. I do use the 32 for concealer bc the angle works really well to reach the deep set corners of my eyes and around the nostrils. I know concealer brushes should be synthetic but I need that softness. Brushes 4, 5, 12, 18, 19, 21 and the tiny 23 are favorites of mine as well. Eventually I would like to add the Wayne Goss powder airbrush, the Sonja G classic base, mini base and mini cheek to my collection. I am intrigued by your use of combo brushes for creamier products and really want to give them a try! I watched your brush favorites a while back but thanks for updating! Very comprehensive video. Hey Tania, since you like airy brushes you should try the Chikuhodo T2 brush it's a large angled bronzer brush, but the taper on the brush makes it precise for application of bronzer but it's also very airy so it applies bronzer in in very diffused and soft way, also has a small handle size that you like, it's a saikoho goat hair that's incredibly soft, check it out x

Have you tried the Hourglass vanish foundation brush? It’s very similar in shape to the Merit brush but I still can’t get over how much I prefer it! I find it to be denser, in a good way, to Merit and I still reach for it the most. Highly recommend!

It’s so funny… I almost use all my eyeshadow brushes either as concealer or setting powder for my face or eyes - and also as lipstick applicators - like that Wayne Goss lipstick brush. I have one that’s supposed to be for eyeshadow, but I use it to smudge out a smooth lipstick line - I guess Wayne Goss is a genius and I stumbled on greatness by dumb luck. Given all that, I need some eye brushes for eye makeup bc lipstick and concealer are hard to clean off a brush completely - cool to see different ideas for all these tools 😊

Omg, I love brushes. It's hard to pick; my top brushes are Sonia G, Rephr, Zoeva, IT cosmetics, and I have two Huda Beauty brushes, a foundation brush, and a dual end Sculpt brush and they are good, BK beauty i only have two brushes the 101 foundation brush amazing and the 202 definitely want more and some real techniques, i have the most Rephr brushes they are just amazing, i would say Rephr and Sonia G are my favourites

I’m bummed so many of Sonia G are sold out. I need another Worker 2 because mine disintegrated from sunlight bouncing off my 10X mirror directly onto my brushes - unreal and it ruined 4 good ones, including discontinued natural hair brushes. I’m really interested in the jumbo base - I have the Rephr one and like it but it’s a tiny bit scratchy but not a lot. Getting used to it. Your voice is relaxing, which I appreciate since I’m watching videos before bed which normally keeps me awake. I had a Sonia Kashuk blush brush I got rid of and regret it because her things are discontinued.

I've always used beauty sponges to apply foundation, so when I tried the Sonia G Jumbo Base, it didn't turn out how I thought it would! Felt dryer and crusty 😅 do you find you have to apply more moisturizer/primer when applying foundation with a brush vs sponge?

Hm.. i don’t change much. I am very much a brush girl though. Sponges soak too much of my foundation and it’s too much work for me:) I do go through phases though. I had times in my life when I gravitated towards sponged.

🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦 I'm really gutted, as usual I can't get that It Cosmetics brush as it's only sold in Ulta - no Ulta in the UK. I had a look and they (Ulta) have a set for $65 (I think 🥴). The Smith Cosmetics brushes nos. 256 and 253 are absolute MUST haves. They're arrow shaped, synthetic brushes and are perfect for applying shimmer eyeshadows to the inner corner. The Rephr 21 was created with the help of our very dear, Mel Thompson. She actually asked them if they could make a brush that resembled a discontinued synthetic Mac brush (I can't remember the number). So, with her help, the no. 21 was created. How cool is that!!! Rephr had only ever made natural haired brushes up to that point. (Sorry Tania - more useless info 🙈). This was so enjoyable and I learned so much. Thank you 😊 Hahaha, good job you were drinking only water😂😂😂😂 Love ya loads 💗💗💗💗💗💗

Tania did you ever get your Pat McGrath order from that sale??? I am seeing a lot of people on Instagram saying that they’re still waiting for their tracking numbers!! And their emails are being ignored. I’m one of those people. 😔 I hope they don’t cancel all of the sale orders… that would be so unfair.

I didn’t get any updates from that order… I didn’t try to email them yet. I thought of giving them a week before i reach out. It would be kind of messed up to just ignore orders…

@@TaniaBWells thanks for the reply! I agree. A lot of people are saying that their orders got canceled and some are saying that they just haven’t gotten any updates. This was my first PMG purchase so I didn’t know if this is the norm for shipping times. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@@CurlyTabby her shipping time sucks! It can take up to two weeks for them to ship out orders… it’s a hit or miss.

I think real techniques are excellent, I just hate all the colors. I wish they would just make them a light color all of them.

YES!!! I really dislike the bright colors.. if they had a sleeker look I would think they are high end brushes!!

Oh No!! Mine shed very little when i clean them. But I haven’t noticed it when I use them!

WHATTTTTTT???!!!!! I've had a lot of mine a couple of years and zero shedding. What soap are you using? Do you dry them upside-down (brush head downwards)? ❤❤

Can’t phantom the thought of animals being skinned to make something so insignificant as a makeup brush……….

For many makeup brushes they do not kill any animals and they are cruelty free! Sonia G and Wayne Goss harvest the hair from leftover hair that was shed by the animals and no animals were harmed! It is true that in the cosmetic world there are a lot of brands who test on animals and hurt animals but these brands do not!
