Every chapter in Super Paper Mario has something weird or disturbing. Chapter 1 has a computer dragon going crazy and fighting you without wanting to. And the mysterious cd in the sidequest in this chapter? Probably porn (but such things appear in all 3 of the original Paper Mario games, so it's not unique to this chapter). Chapter 2 has Mimi. Enough said. Chapter 3 has a nerd chameleon making butterfly porn. Chapter 4 has Mr L, who is a brainwashed Luigi (but everyone denies it's Luigi as a joke). Chapter 5 has King Croacus brainwashing Cragnons, and it's really disturbing if you beat them. And the Wacka appears in this chapter. You talked about chapter 6 already. Chapter 7 is literally hell and heaven. Also River Twigz. Chapter 8 has the universe getting destroyed and the abomination called Super Dimentio. The Flopside Pit of 100 Trials has Shadoo wanting to destroy you and take your place. You know, for kids. And now we have Sticker Star......................................................................................................................

Oh yeah. The endless stairs. I was SO scared as a kid by that fricking song that just increases in pitch and goes back. Pictures of Bowser didn't help. 😕

The Black Paint from Paper Mario Color Splash was the most disturbing thing I have ever seen in a Mario game! Especially when you fight Black Bowser! You'll see why, once you witness it yourself.

I didn't know Whacka's lines change if you hit him enough, I have literally never whacked Whacka, and knowing it's getting brain damage and eventually dying makes me never want to whack one in my life if it appears in another Paper Mario game

Mario also has some pretty disturbing deaths in the Mario Galaxy games; some pits can make him be consumed by a black hole if he goes into them! If he gets electrified to death he'll become a skeleton, and he even dissolves in dark matter in some deaths.

River Twygz is my most disturbing bit in any game ever. The theme “River Twygz Bed” not only kept me up before learning this, has distorted screams of help in it!

All of this if I was a character in Partners in Time... 01: Bowser Roasts Dimento after the fight. And BOI IS IT A STRONG ROAST! Plus I could easily cut out the characters and bring them to MY world! But, My Ender Dragon, Rodrick, would most likely try to avenge Hooktail, Gloomtail, Bonetail, Fracktail, and Whacktail! Plus they're is a thing called SPEED RUNNING!

The only thing shroob castle got as theme wise was a remix of the beginning cutscene along with the mother ship, that princess shroob battle theme and disturbingly great final boss music along with a penultimate boss that follows up to a boss that isn’t even considered one anyways

The endless stairs are what scared me the most even on the DS Super Mario 64.

I honestly think Nintendo could have done Super Dimentio's fight way better for how goddamn creepy he is. He doesn't look as creepy as say the Shadow Queen or Cackletta's soul, but it's when you really think about him that he becomes horrifying. Luigi has a seed implanted in his head and forced into a fusion with a terrifyingly powerful object and an insane jester(who I'm pretty sure is the only character to ever successfully kill Mario), and then forced to start trying to kill his friends, unlike just trying to defeat them as Mr. L. How did he feel during that? Was he aware of what he was doing? Did he just have to watch as Dimentio basically took control of his body and tried to kill Mario, Peach, and Bowser? And how did he feel after he was freed? What WOULD someone feel like after having their mind and body completely taken over and filled with a power like that? And when you think about Super Dimentio's appearance with Luigi's perspective in mind, it becomes so much more horrifying. The only part that is clearly Dimentio is the cloak, the rest is a disturbing imitation of Luigi, with his arms and legs on weird cords of Xs, head stuck on the end of an absurdly long neck, and eyes blank and void of any life until Dimentio becomes part of the fusion. Luigi is forced to become this giant, monstrous, deformed puppet of himself, with a genius madman at the reigns. That realization was one of the most disturbing things for me.

The endless stairs aren’t really endless there is this glitch or trick to go up these stairs without enough stars just keep jumping backwards and make Mario do that and it has to be at running speed and there you go

Out of all the Mario characters, the Shadow Queen is easily one of the most unsettling characters if ranking by design alone, at least to me. I do not even know why exactly she disturbs me on a visual level, which only adds up to her creepiness level. Maybe it's the fact on how she is a 3-D being while all others are 2-D (obviously since it's Paper Mario).

If 8 bit floating hands are disturbing, then Handaconda in Paper Mario the Origami King is definitely disturbing. Mario walks down a hallway with cut up pieces of paper Goombas, Koopas, and other characters on the floor. A mysterious shadow hand made of black paper comes from behind and grabs Mario which starts a boss battle with Handaconda.
