I am a new amateur bird photographer .I have Nikon p950 .I am shooting bird photos with it but sometimes I find problem with focusing the subject .The camera tends to focus on some branches etc instead of the bird.Can you make a tutorial video on how to use nikon P950/1000 for birding .We dont hv the budzet to buy a costly canera worth 1.5 lac or above .😢

Thanks for reaching out. The Nikon P950/1000 has a Bird Watching Scene Mode, and the focal point in Birdwatching mode is locked in the centre. You can also change the AF area mode to Center (spot), Center (normal), or Center (wide). The setting you choose should depend on the size of the subject and the focus range. Here are some tips for using the Nikon P950 for bird photography: Autofocus: Set the autofocus to a manual spot. Subject: Select your subject, preferably the eye, and half-press to save the focus area. Composition: Choose your composition and take the photo. Subject tracking: The camera offers subject tracking for more active birds. Autofocus settings: For birds in flight, set the autofocus to Continuous. Also, set the frame rate to Continuous so you can hold down the shutter button to take a quick series of images. Camera settings: For bird-in-flight photography, set the camera to Shutter Priority mode (S) and choose a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion of the birds. A good starting point is around 1/1000 of a second.

If your budget is 1lakhs, then go for Nikon P1000. It's a point & Shoot camera. Use it for a couple of years & then go for any mirrorless camera with z mount lense. Which will cost you around 3 - 4 lakhs

Nikon Z5, Nikon ZFC, Nikon Z50, Nikon Z30, Canon EOS R50, Canon EOS R10, Canon Eos M50 Mark II, Canon EOS 850D, Canon EOS RP, Canon EOS M200. For wildlife photography, you need to increase your budget because any camera which is under 1 lakh will not perform well in wildlife. So if you stick on Mirrorless, just go for Nikon Z9 or Nikon Z8, or just go for DSLR Nikon D7500, D780, or Nikon D850.
