Nebulon B is a) Canon and b) It has vulnerable spots (that narrow part between the main ship and the engines...target that and the ship will break appart!)
@@dreamingflurry2729 you sort of confused two ships that have annoying similar names. The Nebulon Class Frigate is basically as you described. The Nebula class Star Destroyer is a Legends New Republic Star Destroyer that actually has few weakspots
I just wanna say that not to diss other star wars channel but theres just something about when i hear this intro that makes me more excited than any other channel
STAR WARS WHAT IF: What if Tup killed Anakin instead of Master Tiplar when his chip malfunctioned? the question is purely hypothetical, I believe it would change so much. Ahsoka turning to the darkside, investigation by obiwan uncovering order 66, Palpatine’s entire plan, dooku remaining a sith. Etc
I'm so pleasantly surprised that you went with the MC90! I thought for sure your Mon Calamari pick would be the Viscount. The MC90 is my favorite Mon Calamari warship too, because it's a proper dedicated military ship (not a refitted civilian ship), it can take on Imperial Star Destroyers and win outright, and we actually know things about it unlike with the Mediator and the Viscount.
I love when the huge ships like, the star destroyers get out of hyperspace it looks so damn kool! They just appear but you can tell they were moving. They do it so well.
I love the Nebula, once I found out about it the Venator dropped down to my second favorite. It would be crazy to see the Nebula or something like it it in Episode 9.
the Allegiance Star Destroyer and the MC90 Cruiser are TWO of my favorites, but I also love the Super Destroyers Executor and Eclipse, and the Viscount Star Defender!
What if Grievous turned against Sidious after the death of Count Dooku and took complete control of the seperatist military? Would he find out about his brain modifications which he didn't agree to but were done anyway?
I think the Bellator is always great as a faster dreadnaught, I also really like the look of it. Allegiance is good too though, the ball turrets along the spine are cool
Haven’t been this early before. Since you’ll probably see this, (I hope) just know that I’ve been subbed since 12k and your content keeps getting better and better. Hope you’re okay in the wake of the hurricane, by the way.
*That moment when you realise your niche youtuber you subbed to 3 years ago is now nearing 500k* Yea, I was watching him back in 2016 I believe, 8th grade. had a fire, he helped me through the transition stages of houses lol.
I don't have a top five favourite ships, but I am particularly partial towards the Assertor- and Bellator-class dreadnoughts. I like their overall designs, and how they appear to be more conventional, and practical super-capital ships versus the Executor or Eclipse (they don't have a superlaser, and aren't the most powerful dreadnoughts in the Imperial Navy, but they lack the trench cityscape of the Executor and appear to be more densely armed).
The Assertor HAVE a superlaser, but much smaller then the Eclipse. Also, she is totally outgun the Executor. An Assertor have circa 500 ISD(Imperial Star destroyer) volume and power, the executor have only 150 ISD or so. The Eclipse are mininimum 1000 ISD power.
Best investment I ever made was UPS for my FIOS box, router, and pc. Have internet access for about 5 hours and computer usage for a solid 2 hours, never been out that long but has been a lifesaver so many times. Rechargeable lightbulbs are another blessing I won't ever go without too. 8 hours of power to the bulb after regular power outage is great when you don't want to go to the bathroom in the dark, otherwise looks and functions as a normal bulb.
When you need to take a break from doing this stuff, do not hesitate for ANY reason. A good break will refresh both you and your mind. When you have been gone long enough (and you will always know when that is) You can hop back in . When you do come back on YOUR terms, you will be fresh excited and your content will reflect that. We know you have love for what you do. We love you for it. Bottom line friend .... do what you need to do for you! Thanks for all the great content! Sorry for the ramble lol.
My top 5 : 5 : Corellian Gunship, small, maneuverable, fast, heavily armed, able to cripple entire squadrons of tie fighters. Fantastic escorts for heavier ships. 4 : Nebulon-B-class Frigate. A very well equipped frigate, with great sensors, good speed and home to two squadrons of starfighters. The ship also has some firepower and is able to engage any kind of ship : it's the perfect medium sized escort vessel for multi purpose mission. 3 : Interdictor cruisers : fantastic assets, no explanations needed 2 : Venator-class Star destroyer : the only star destroyer that I like (well I'm fond of all in terms of what they look like). They are for me real carriers with good ship to ship capability. 1 : Strike-class cruiser. OMG, I love this ship. Easy to produce, modular, it has a module part which can be exchanged for another depending on the mission. It is a very tough vessel, very well armed while not requiring that much crew, fast and maneuverable. I would rather have a few of them than just one Star Destroyer. My dream fleet would have a Venator as my flagship and carrier ; a few Strike cruisers that I would equip depending on the mission ; one Interdictor ; a few Nebulon-B for basic escort, convoy escorts and recon duties and Corellian gunships to protect my heavier ships.
Awesome list and I hope all is well for you in the aftermath of the hurricane. My list of ships would probably be (in no particular order): 1. Venator (of course) 2. Lucrehulk 3. Endurance 4. Gladiator 5. Keldabe I know corvettes, frigates, and other small warships are classified as capital ships but I chose to just do the big bois to make this easier for me to choose lol
For me, my top 5 in all canon and Legends, it's the Munificent Class Frigate, MC90, while not much is known yet about this, the new Starhawk, Victory 1 Star Destroyer and the Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser
i’m early uhhh.... Ecks I love your videos dude. Your videos are awesome, and I can’t wait for when you reach 1 million subscribers. I’m sorry this comment had nothing to do with the video, I just wanted to say it.
By Star Wars classification any vessel larger than 100 meters in length is a capital ship, Their definition is way more broad than ours, perhaps partially due to technical developments. We often see lone corvettes or frigates acting alone and accomplishing a ridiculous amount so perhaps that supports this way of thinking, too. "If the capital ships are beaten then the navy is beaten yet if the rest of the navy are beaten the capital ships can still operate."
5:21 The ship is called the _Quasar Fire_-class, and despite its small size, it's usually referred to as a "bulk cruiser" or a "cruiser-carrier": starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Quasar_Fire-class_bulk_cruiser
Love your videos, sir. I'm very sorry to hear that the hurricane has affected you so. Upload as you can, be safe, and I'll be here eagerly awaiting your videos whenever they arrive.
Aw man, east coast huh? Hope power comes back quickly for you guys! Also, my favorite ships (including canon) are definitely the B-wing, the Mandelorian Fighter that's seen in rebels and clone wars, the VCX-100, the Gladiator class star destroyer, and the Delta 7b Aethesprite Jedi interceptor
Don't worry too much! I'm not going to unsubscribe from your channel even if you miss a month, although I will miss your content a lot. That said, hopefully things get back on track for you before RU-vid gets nasty! Thanks for the video :)
I've been through a hurricane before ecks, if ya need to slow down the content for a while don't really worry about it. Hurricanes are rough. There's alota clean up and rebuilding to do. Get your situation sorted and then come on back! :D
seems like new republic designs area basically when people went from phalanx kinda fighting to horse archers, hard hitting mobile and overwhelming firepower, that larger less mobile ships would have a hard time competing with.
Hearing you describe the Nebula actually managed to drop my opinion of it. Better than an ISD in every way, even while being smaller? That just drips of handwavium cop-out.
The SDF-1 is my favorite capital ship. It was a warship, a fortress, an aircraft carrier, it had a city, and it even had a reality talent show on board! Did you ever hear of a Death Star with a talent show? Wait a second. It's not Star Wars. Maybe someone can help me remember the name? Anyway maybe you could do an episode or two about it.
Perhaps not my all-time favourite, but easily in my top three is the Sphyrna-Class hammerhead corvette as portrayed in Rogue One and Rebels. Personally I feel like the Republic's aesthetic should have always been hammerhead-style vessels all the way up to the beginning of the Clone Wars, wherein they should have been phased out in favour of dagger-style vessels like the Arquitens-Class, the Acclamator-Class and the Venator-Class (prelude to Imperial aesthetics) but unfortunately the design wasn't popularly introduced into the EU/Legends until Knights 1&2 and The Old Republic. In my opinion, it's an almost perfect escort design. Majority of the firepower is concentrated forward with enough point defence armament scattered around to provide total coverage with at least one emplacement able to fire in any direction. It's also nearly as configurable as the more modern Correlian Engineering C-70, CR-70 and CR-90 platforms. The Sphyrna-Class is a hugely underappreciated vessel. It's visually striking, has fairly clean lines and it simply looks like a spaceworthy functional hull, perfectly representing the mostly demilitarized nature of the Republic during this period. I'd argue in most ways it is superior in design to the CR-90, though perhaps trading the latter's versatility for better survivability. They were incredibly tough ships in a way the CR-90 could never hope to be.
My Favorite top five star Wars Capital Ships are. 1, Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer 2, Sovereign Class Super Star Destroyer 3, Assertor Class Super Star Destroyer 4, Allegiance Star Destroyer/Secator class Star Destroyer 5, Imperial 3 Class Star Destroyer.
#AskEck how do the flood metabolize in order to get the energy they need to move, grow, attack, maintain, etc. Do they eat plants, store food from hosts, or cannibalize their own cells. But it seems to me like the flood cells would require some kind of energy or they would starve/die.
While everyone likes the CR-90, and though it is a good ship, I think I prefer the hammerhead in the corvette slot. Super sturdy, maybe a little underarmed compared to the CR-90, but super cool looking.
Having put many thousand hours into playing EAW and EAW:FOC. For me my top ships are for the alliance the Nebulon B Frigate or the Rebel Assault Frigate. For Imperials The Victory class. For the Zann Consortium the Keldabe class Battleship
#askeck Halo theory idea What if the UNSC had never researched the spartan 2 or mjolnir programs. However one month after first contact with the covenant the UNSC INFINITY and her escort fleet of Autumn class cruisers appear at earth through a wormhole. The ships are fully operational and have manuals detailing how all ship systems, such as shielding and more advanced slipsace, operate and also how to build them for other ships. However it goes not have the spartan 4s. How does this affect the human covenant war? Does humanity win or lose?
TheWingland battlegroup Dakota would probably not make up for what the Spartan II and III program was able to achieve during the war. Sure, the UNSC would finally have a fleet that could compete in a 1on1 ratio with a covenant fleet, but the Spartans carried out missions that destroyed entire fleets without having to do maintenance, repairs, and downtime that a battlegroup would. Take first strike for an example. without the Spartans, the covenant advanced fleet of 300-500 ships would’ve overrun earth easily. There is no way to make up for what the UNSC loses had it not created the Spartan program, unless the entire post HCW fleet arrives from the future with prior knowledge of events. Even then, they would explain they were only able to do most of it with the Spartans.
