Love it! I swapped my badge grill two days ago for the TOYOTA letters and I can't stop looking at it. The letter colors match the truck (Cement) so it is a perfect compliment.
I'm liking your Yota. Not overly done but still enough so it has an edge. Love it. In the process of adding a couple more things here and there on mine.
for me, the audio is ALWAYS the first thing to change in a car, because you will ALWAYS use it. its either BOOM or bust. then we can talk about offroad mods lol. Besides having some badass tunes while doin badass things is always fun.
I have 3 inch puck spacer in the front and 2 in the rear. Falken wildpeaks and it gives my truck a nice aggressive look and it performs pretty well off road (I don't go rock climbing or hardcore out in the woods) I go to light trails and such. I plan on going HAM in the future though.
Good looking rig. I am able to ride on 33s on a 23 trial Tacoma with OTT tune with no suspension modification. Plan for more weight and bumpers. Gears (4.88) before weight comes though.
Nice Taco. I’m looking to get a Tacoma soon and I’m definitely interested in putting on some mods and would love to see more information about suspension. Thank you for the good contact. Also, dogs are the best we don’t deserve them.
Thanks for an informative video, best mod on my Tundra are my king shocks. Other than that it’s gonna be 33” tires on 17” wheels, sliders and be done. So many mods are not necessary like you’ve said but that’s what I’ve narrowed down mine to.
So hilarious with the wig and singing clip. I’m a new sub and laughing my face off now. Btw I’m getting a new tundra to replace 20y/o tundra and will use for off-road mountain biking camping adventures. Considering a Tacoma but want the extra size to carry more bikes and stuff
The 2nd mod I did was sliders, after tires, many more later. I went off a rock step I didn't anticipate while driving into the sun, and kissed the slider hard. It soaked up the hit no problem, but would have been a major rocker-panel bummer had I not installed them.
Thanks man. I was wondering how people felt about their lifts, tires, and shaving the front for that style of bumper/winch combo. I’m aiming to buy a new Tacoma this year, and I’ve been exploring options to get the full use of the truck, sans the things causing headaches lol.
Can we only get the first dez mod lol. That’s the best mod bro. Let’s be honest😂! For real tho, I absolutely love the life that you have created thru hard work and dedication I’m a subscriber because I get a peak of the beautiful life that you’ve been able to cultivate. Keep working hard max, and never take your family for granted. I’m watching bro!!! Keep the great content coming!
Maxx Powell your content is much needed in the RU-vid community. From modding your taco, and the do it yourself work. Being a great example to your kids and wife. I’m sure they’re time where you don’t want to get up and keep grinding, but please do, because you give me, give us, the visual that we can do great things if we keep focused on what we love. Huge fan max, it give me belief that I can work my ass off to earn the family and lifestyle that I want. Never settle max! Love it dawg!!!
Any nice strong bumper/guard is worth the price. I had a ARB bull bar (ARB 3423130 is about 1,000 dollars or less and looks great on older Tacomas) on my old '97 Jeep Grand Larado. One night a big buck charged out into the road on me and i hit it almost head on going 50. The *only* damage to the front was a cracked reflector. The deer did bounce off the side and slam into my front quarter panel, but if i had not had that ARB on the front it would have been thousands in damages. No doubt i would have had busted headlights, hood crumbled in, radiator busted, and who knows what else. Spending a little upfront on a strong guard is a _great_ insurance policy.
Andrew my TJM steel bumper just saved my ass on a trail in Baja 2 weeks ago.... I should have my radiator pushed in, but had no mechanical damage and was able to drive home unscathed. I will never not have a steel front bumper again 👌🏼
Test drove a '20 Pro yesterday. Coming from a late 2nd gen Sport, what a difference. Once I get a dealer who doesn't try to gouge the fuck out of me, I'm getting one. Your videos have had a part in putting me into this debt lol
Did you do a video on mods that are your least favorite??? Did I miss it in the video list? Thanks for this video... I look forward to every one you put out! 👍
My buddy made a rack in his garage so he could quickly pull in and unlatch his tent from his rack and then he got a small rack for his trailer so he could not only take his tent on and off in like 2 minutes but could switch it from his trailer to his truck depending on what he needed for his trip. And if he didn’t want it at all he would just leave it hanging from the ceiling in his garage. I don’t know if there’s a company that does it (he built it himself). Always thought it was a cool idea though
The first thing I did before I added anything to mine was get it tuned. Stock it drove like an old dog. Add weight to it without a tune, then you got an old dead dog.
Nice video!! I finally got my 2019.access cab today! Plan to start the overland build and finances allow. Driving my self crazy trying to decide between 3 inch lift W33s or 6 inch list w35s!!
3:28 Baja Champion! Just because it says it on the tires doesn't make it so. I still think Maxx needs to make a separate channel titled, "Maxx Breaks it". No seriously though love your channel!
i dunno whether i should install a steel bumper or aluminum. i love that high clearance style and don't mind cutting into my ride. should i install steel rock sliders and skid plates or go aluminum too? how much did your widebody flares and lift with tires cost you? but yeah, regearing is on my top priority before i add anything. look into patriot campers designs on designing a trailer to fit your roof top tent, sidebyside, and any other accessories to free up your taco. great videos. keep up the awesome content.
Most of the +2 issues you've had relate to the brand you chose for Long Travel. I almost went with the same company, but last minute decided not to when people who ran their parts talked about all the issues they've had. Guaranteed if you made the switch to another brand *cough* Total Chaos *cough*, those issues you've had will go away.
28xplode Significantly less issues. I rarely hear of someone having a problem with TC, meanwhile every person I know with Baja Kits has complained. Just my personal experience.
Do you have a manual trans or an auto? I got a 2019 OR m/t but I feel like I hit the dirt/rocks way too hard and I don’t want to rub the clutch. Any advice?? I normally ride out in Anza and Joshua tree area. Btw best mod are clips to hold a shovel. Gotten through some gnarly stuff in a stock truck with a shovel.
Yeah I agree Bilstein would be a better option but what I was trying to say Is that you can still have a fun truck with puck lift. My last truck came with a 2 inch puck lift and I never felt the ride was rough and I had a ton of fun with it
What's up with the focus in this video? Winch is on my list too, plus an ARB Summit front bumper, Mobtown HC rear bumper, lift, and some other stuff lol
What year is the truck? The 2020 has a camera in the grill, and the premium sound system is pretty good, not compatible to a full blown custom car show quality system but not bad.
I have a 2020 Tacoma trd off road. I do not like the gearing either. I’m not a person that goes off road often if at all but I would appreciate a recommendation for an upgrade gear set up for a non off roading set up.
