Beautiful as always. Can’t really decide which card I love the most. Can’t wait for my order to arrive tomorrow to PLAY. Thanks so much for sharing your gift of painting and planning to make card making even more enjoyable. Joy
Just beautiful Jill…my dream is to be able to paint as wonderful as you do…absolutely love watching your paintings come alive ..you always seem to know the right colors to use❤
The stencil set has just been added as a must have. Beautiful cards; I’ve said this before: Penny Black products are the absolute best, but you, my dear, make them truly come to life. Your artistry is exquisite.
I love my PB stencils to make single layered cards Adding a little ink in the corners, etc, provides so much dimension to the stamped image & creates a strong focal point
Oh my word, these cards are soooo beautiful my Jilly friend! Waiting for a few of them to arrive and be part of my stash. You do such a great job, love and hugs always😘❤️
I have the stencil set and have used it a few times already. They really make a home for the focal image. I am sure I will use both the positive and negative parts many times. Love your videos! Thanks. .
Hi Jill!! I love all your amazing cards. Thank you for bring these wonderful masterpieces to us and for again showcasing your incredible talent. I especially appreciate your bringing back the wonderful stencils. I have forgotten about them and now I am getting them out so I can use them. Have a blessed day. Hugs from Michigan.
Oh my goodness! Fabulous cards! How I wish I could watercolor like you……I am trying! My cards usually look like a 2nd grade student colored them! 😂. I’ve placed my order for some of these stamps; I love the little birds. They could be saying all sorts of things to each other via sentiments. Thanks for sharing another great video
Oh my goodness your creation and skills in painting makes it look 3D it looks like it’s coming out of the page & real. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous work 💞🥰❣️
These are absolutely gorgeous. Love the way you teach us that this is so doable with stash we already have. I'm getting those stencils to take my card making up a notch. Thank you!!!
Again! I'm blown away by your artistic abilities and designs. I love the border stencils and need to remember that. Sometimes my cards just look too blah with all that white area. Thank you, again, for an amazing video. Love the birds and, actually, all of your samples
Wow!!! These are all just beautiful!!! I hope someday to be able to paint like you!! I purchased the bird stamp and stencils recently!! Thanks for sharing, I love your videos!!!
Love watching your videos! So happy you're showing more 5 x 7 cards - that is the size I use just about all of the time. Love having examples I don't have to adjust for my preferred size! Thanks Jill.
🙋♀️Hi Jill! I don’t know what is more beautiful…those gorgeous PB stamps and your stunning water coloring (that you make look so easy!😉) or the lovely sentiments that turn every card into a masterpiece!?! Thank you for sharing your talent and the gift of your inspiration with us! I don’t have the stencil set, but I’m definitely getting it! So versatile!🤗😍
Hi Jill!!! Thanks for another great video! Terrific subject this time! You're coming at us with new lessons and broadening our horizons! I have some stencils similar to this but only just borders. I like the PB stencils with the framed "window" look. Very unique! And, like you said, a great place to put a sentiment! Love what you do!!! ❤
I have not used the background basics stencil but I would love a set. Love all of the cards particularly the watering can one & the one with the wreath style centre. However it is truly hard to pick a fave
I mail tons of birthday cards. I just ordered Super Day set with birthday wishes. Can you recommend others. I keep looking but didn't see anything else. I don't use humor ones. Thanks.

Wonderful video...beautiful cards! My question is coming from a non watercolor artist...just a card maker... what would be the difference between stamping the image & THEN doing the stencil background painting afterwards? Doing the stencil background after spending so much time painting the image would make me incredibly nervous!
Great question, you could definitely do the stencil background first, especially if you are planning to ink with a neutral color that will go with whatever you plan to paint/color. :)
Hi there Jill, I love watching you create your beautiful cards. I too use distress re-inkers, and love it. Could I ask about the Canson watercolour card you use you please? I was wondering if it’s hot press or cold press, and how white the card is? The card I’m currently using is quite creamy in colour, but I’m trying to find a lovely white card. Thanks Jill. X Janine (UK)
Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words. The Canson I use is cold press. It is not perfectly bright white, but isn't too creamy looking if it isn't next to bright white paper to compare it to side by side. (Hope that makes sense!) :) Happy stamping!
These cards are stunning, I didn’t know there were such stencils, I need them. The stamps are gorgeous. I want to order some products, do I go to Penny Black or is there another source to get the products
Thanks, Audrey! You can order from our site (products are listed in RU-vid description above) or many retailers also carry our products. :) Happy creating!
Could you share what card bases you use? Is it the same wc paper or something else? I have trouble with it since the wc paper is usually not white in colour like the Neenah card stock
Thanks for your question, I don't mind the card base being different texture or slightly different color than the watercolor so I typically use Neenah Solar White cardstock. Happy creating!
I love, love, love Penny Black stamps. However, I wonder why they make the stamps so large for a 5 x 7 cards that require extra postage and the envelopes cost more? Most people send the regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards? I'm always disappointed when I want to buy some of your stamps and I see the stamps are so large for my 4 x 5 cards.
In general, Mailing a 5x7 card doesn’t cost more postage than a A2 card unless you have added extra embellishments. I made 5x7 cards often for specialty orders and it isn’t more to mail. I do actually prefer to make A2 cards, but many people are used to buying larger cards in the store and would always ask me to make them 5x7. I actually like that the stamps can be used on different size cards. You could also use on slimline, mini slimline and shaped cards. I think it makes them more versatile. You can still use them on A2 size cards. You don’t always have to stamp the entire image on the card. There are many card makers who show this technique. Even when Jill showcased the first two cards with the A2 & A7, I thought that showed that you can use that stamp use that stamp on multiple size cards.
You've actually given me ideas now that I know the postage isn't more. So, can you add any layers to the cards, or does it have to be just one sheet of 5 x 7 cardstock that's been folded in half (a 10 x 7 to begin with)? @@longlivedemocracy756
