@@WOMPITUS Thanks for watching! North Louisiana definitely seems to have fewer restaurants to choose from it seems when I have visited. I dated a girl from Monroe and she always told me Monroe was better than West Monroe and I have even seen t-shirts saying that 😀
@@NOLAGent1 lol I’m from West Monroe. Lol the only thing Monroe is better at than West Monroe is murder. I’ll admit they have more old school family owned places, which I do like and WM has all the big time chain restaurants .
Well, Gent, you hit one of my top 3 favorite Italian restaurants in New Orleans. Venezia has been a mainstay for my family as long as I can remember. The problem with Venezia is that everything on the menu is good, so we always end up ordering too much. No matter what we get, we always get a pizza on the side just to have a slice or two while we enjoy our main courses. But, we always start with the cheese bread and the spinach artichoke bread...hands down BEST in the city. My go-to main course is the Fettuccine Alfredo with Paneed Veil or Chicken...whichever they have. And if they don't offer one, they will make it for you. And once you've started your Italian delights here, the best thing is (just like you did) that you can walk next door to Angelo Brocato's for Italian desserts to end the night. Great vid...keep it up. - The Commodore
My two other top choices are Gendusa's, because I've never had better meatballs and even the salad is the best, and Fausto's, because they are the only place that makes my favorite dish (see above) the way I like it and my wife and I like it for a romantic get-away.
