Top Gear Rally Playthrough (Actual N64 Capture) - Part 3

This is part 3 of my capture of me playing through the Championship mode in Top Gear Rally for the Nintendo 64. This is not an emulator. This footage was captured directly from my Nintendo 64 using an actual Top Gear Rally cartridge. I'm using a manual transmission, like always.
In this third part I completed the third season (Fall) in the first year of the Championship mode.
Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the official N64 S-video cable. I used a Toshiba model D-R550 DVD Recorder to upconvert the N64's native 240p signal to 480i so that the Hauppauge could capture the console's audio/video signal.
I'm using a standard N64 controller.

So awesome.... just what my nostaglia needed right now. thank you Man I ran this game into the ground.... ggot so good playing it so much got bored and thought I never wanted to play again.... now twenty years later I do!

I would like to see a different variety of cars you drive. You know just showcase them for each course if there’s more than one vehicle to choose

You're really fuckin good at this game. Season 3 desert makes me wanna break my controller. I've improved just watching your playthroughs, but you hardly use brakes so I don't fully understand what you're doing..

Thanks. I usually don't need the brakes because throwing the car really hard into a turn will slow it down quite a bit.

@@WatchmeplayNintendo So I know I'm commenting on a 5 year old post, but I seriously don't get how you do it (specifically season 3 desert). Even on the parts that don't have turns, the slightest bump or hills in the road send me flying up in the air and lose control.

@@MystinaValeth Driving in fifth gear in the really bouncy sections helps since it keeps you from going full speed. Sometimes you can also let off the throttle.

@@WatchmeplayNintendo Last night after studying how you were playing, I tried manual and using 5th gear and letting off the throttle, and that helped a lot! but the slightest slip up and I slam into the tiniest corner that flips me around. I still have no clue how you managed to get in 1st place by the start of lap three, I managed to get 2nd place more than half way through lap three, was doing perfect too, but then I messed up and hit a corner and lost it. I'll attempt Season 3 desert some more tonight after work. Thanks for the response, honestly surprised after so long lol

@@MystinaValeth Glad I could help. Also try to angle your car properly as you're flying off jumps/bumps so you stay on course.

How many stages and courses does this game have? Have a fixed single car-view or does it allow you choice different several viewing points?

It has four standard courses and one bonus course. You can use an in-car view or an outside-the-car view.

+WatchmeplayNintendo just two car viewings only ,pretty good! I dislike games with 4-5-6 or thousands car-views; too many choices of views take out the "arcade flavour" to look too simulatin 3D games. I prefer 2D stuff with an only one (or not more than 2) fixed car-view. Unfortunately the 2nd chapter has 4 car-views. I 'ld have preferred one only or no more than 2
