I live in Nantes, France, we have what is called "Les Machines de L'ile" were a lot of the giant animatronics of La Compagnie des Machines are kept, you can go inside or on some of them. They are absolutely beautiful and have so detailed, I totally recommend visiting the exposition if you come to France. Thank you for another amazing video :D
I can happily tell you guys that the Pumpkin King is just as incredible as you imagine irl. My boyfriend and I go to Cedar Point’s Halloweekends every year for Halloween and one of the animatronics they have is the Pumpkin King, and he’s so cool! I have a video on my phone that I took of him standing up 😁
In Italy during carnival we use giant animatronic called carri mascherati (masked floats). I suggest to search the Carnevale di Viareggio, their floats are impressive
Seeing La Machine live in Ottawa was absolutely incredible!! And watching a giant spider and dragon duke it out on the Parliament Hill is a sight I will remember fondly!
Omg, as a robot fan (and hey, a robot myself), I super fell in love with that giant robot suit animatronic. I just wish I could've seen it up close. Sadly, I'm in Texas and cons are too pricey to go to, especially since I'd want to cosplay, LOL.
MONSTER MINI GOLF STILL EXISTS?????!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! I went to a local location a few times when I was REALLY YOUNG!!! Like, I barely remember it! I was that young!!!!! I thought that my local location was the only one in the world, so I thought it was completely gone when it closed down!!! I'm so happy I can finally go back and experience It again without being a little kid terrified of everything!!!!! Thank you so much for giving me the information that it still exists!!!! I'm so happy to go again!!!! (Even if it's gonna be a bit of a trip to go to the closest location....)
I am so glad I have learned the existence of La Machine. Those are the coolest things I’ve ever seen and the fact that they exist irl makes life so much more magical
One you might find footage of would be the animatronic dragon from "West Edmonton Mall" in Alberta Canada. It was one of the center pieces of the movie theatres lobby in the mall and quite large. Every now and then it would put on a show and breath fire. It was decommissioned a few years ago but I haven't been up there to see if they removed it or just left it inactive.
FANTASTIC VIDEO!!! Part of me wants to see that giant spider, but most of me says NOPE!!! I did get to see the robot arm attacking the giant baby at Coachella while I was waiting for Nine Inch Nails to play and it was very surreal.
Thanks for the Informative video on the Different Giant Animatronics made by Lots of different companies in the video When the Giant Trex steps out in London, did you see the man run lol that was funny, i don't find them creepy a lot Of Work goes into creating just 1 of these animatronics in my opinion they're All awesome art work.
I've seen the pumpkin king in person. I went to a rather large Halloween haunted house or should I say houses. Anyways it was super cool to see the giant animatronic
You missed out Royal de Luxe! They are based in the same city as La Machine and tour with up to 30 ft puppets and liliputians. I was on the 'big giant' team as a Benevol in theis last performance in Liverpool a couple years back - changed my life. 6 figures of people lining the streets for 3 days, it was insane
If I had to pick which animatronic I wanted to tower over me in a room between the baby or the spider, I'm picking the spider. That baby is straight out of my nightmares, but I love spiders!
Seeing a giant mechanical spider and a giant mechanical -centaur- -minotaur- Rabid Horseman facing off in the streets makes me think it turned into some kind of kaiju battle.
one of my special interests is animatronics and your videos helped me discover that!!! i am coming up with some animatronic concepts for the future :) tysm
Monster mini golf that place was awsome, but also terrified me as a kid. Sadly as I got older the place went out of business where I lived selling it's anamatronics to different people. I have no idea where the giant skull is or remember if the one near us had a giant skull, but I do know that the troll/sleeping giant is now owned by kings island as every Halloween and Christmas they put him up. Sadly he is in disrepare and is missing fingers and slowly detererating as time goes on. Tbh I had no idea that he was originally owned by monster mini golf. I also believe Kings island owns one of the grim reapers as well but I'm not 100% sure.
I was fortunate to see the Spanish pavilion baby in 2010 it was pretty big but not as big as I imagined. I said I was fortunate because I could remember the line up was insane
Some recognition for Compagnie de la Machine 💖 If you go to France, try to go to Nantes for Les Machines de l'Île and to Toulouse for La Halle de la Machine, they are both full off these kind of creations, and some of them roam around from time to time. It's a must see. By the way, the footage of the giant spider (her name is Ariane, as in the greek myths) are from the 2018 opening of the Halle de la Machine. Both her and the Minotaur were walking around in the streets of Toulouse, for at least three days. I was able to see Ariane in motion, ans she's able to stand on her back legs, making her as tall as a four story building, as well as throw 'web', as you would expect from a spider. The Minotaur can carry people, and has realistic breathing movement. I'm pretty sure the elephant from Nantes Can spit water, so it's kind of a crowd favorite during summer. I will finish by saying that woodcarvers work by hand to do the outer shells for these machines. So not only it is impressive animatronics (more giant puppets), but all in all, it's a work of art made with pure passion. You can follow them on Instagram and see their creative process @ compagnie_la_machine .
I love the stuffed animal animatronics! They look so cool!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 Also, I hope I wasn't sounding too mean when I tell you you have a spelling error in some of your posts.
Every time I see Semen's I feel weird because like I'd have no clue what they do if my dad never worked for them as a medtech. Which made me wonder. Does the giant head count? Would a medtech fix it if it broke down? I doubt it but it gave me a cool thought.
