Father time is amazing and no fighting it. God bless all of these actors/actresses for possibly the best movie in my youth. More importantly, it literally motivated and guided me to pursue my passion in aviation. At the time of the movie, I was in USAF, as a F16 maintenance tech. Like everyone else I wanted to be a pilot and will never forget my supervisors' words saying and i quote, "You will never be a pilot", as he walked away laughing. I subsequently fulfilled my USAF commitment, became a Police Officer however while serving community I took flight lessons. Long story short, 26 years in aviation I'm a major airline pilot, just a few years from retirement. I owe everything to this movie an actors. THANK YOU! Side note, years into my law enforcement I conducted a traffic stop when a vehicle ran a light. It was my USAF supervisor from the past.....hmm....life sure has a way....:)
Thank you for serving our country. As a mom at the time of movie saw it with my teenage son who later joined the navy. Still a great movie! So glad you also served your community & the public. As a major airline retiree I say way to go!
There are some things I dislike about Tom Cruise, but those are family matters. As far as an actor goes...Mr. Cruise is a dedicated actor that lives his parts (almost scary what he does to make a part so real). His acting is beyond superb.
Tom cruise is really great in what he is doing just saw Maverick last day last show and got thrilled watching the movie emotions were so high when the movie ended
Just watched the sequel: Maverick awesome movie, bring back old memories... though still prefer the first one, but the second still great, the opening, opening theme, screenplay, sinematography...perfect...
Tetep yak yang versi 1986 nya lebih bagus ??? Aku jg br nonton yg lama nya di HBO bbrp.bln lalu...emang keren sih buat ukuran film 80an....bisa bikin kayak gt...mana cast nya ga ada yg jelek....cuci mata puas sih cewek2...walo skrg mrk uda pd jd om om dan kakek2....tp di jaman nya keren banget 😭😭😭
Oh, my God, thank you to these people for being the heroes of this movie and for making such an impression on the viewer. These faces will always impress me.
I was born in mid of 70's ..when this movie out i was at my elementary school last year ..i never had a change to watch this movie... i just watch it a view month ago at HBO ... and im surprised it is a really good amazing movie...no.wonder when im in junior high school my friend who just back from australia never stop talking about this movie and tom cruise LOL... this movie is full of a handsome guys with a six pack and good looking back lol... and watching the movie now in 2022 (top gun 1986) i never feel that this movie is from the past 36 years ago.... i dont know if technology can make old movie more brighter and still good to be watch with.... cannot wait to see the new version of top gun 2022 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The freaky thing for me is I am their age, so 25 when movie came out. An aging reality slap in face. It would be fascinating to know what Tom Cruise has done over the years to remain youthful. Genetic big, procedures help, diet, lifestyle, but he has clearly worked hard at it he is fit no doubt.
I am exactly in the same generation of the actors. Their change of appearance makes me remember my life history since I watched the movie for the first time.
@でほ はい - Me too I was 28 then in 1986. Served 6 years in the US Marine Corps. Awesome time and lots of memories I related to this movie! Love the sound track it's motivational for sure! Top Gun Maverick is now playing. Semper Fi USMC '75 - '81 #Trump2024ToSaveAmerica 👍👍👍😎
@@JohnPiperBoots I was 19 when this came out. I was either still in schools battalion at Camp Del Mar, or just got my first duty station swinging at the wing at El Toro.
Very good comparison and thanks. When I first watched Top Gun I was only 20. I still look hot for a 57 year old, but getting older does have its negative advantages :) However, there are some positives that are best not shared on a public channel
That photo was a candid which wasn't really fair. Most of the other photos had people dressed nicely and lit and posed well. This pic is pretty much catching someone at the grocery store. Image search her name and you'll find better pics.
i was a projectionist manager when this movie came out and i was 25 at the time, now im 60, i look at these actors and shake my head, what the hell happened to us ???
Crazy To See what some of these actors have done in main roles Tom Cruise: Mission Impossible Saga Val Kilmer: Batman Forever Tim Robbins:The Shawshank Redemption( The #1 rated film on IMDB(
Tom Cruise had the most motivation to do whatever it took to maintain his shape and looks for as long as possible. The others never were the big stars nor were in constant media eyes like Tom was, so it was easy for them to slip into the regular person lifestyle and let themselves go more or less.
Despite what most ppl say that degrading looks are inevitable, I truly think that the only reason why Tom looks so different than everyone else is consistency and a very active lifestyle.
I was 13 years old in 1986. Still single though. At age 48 now, I’m still thin, only 130lbs. I’m thankful every day I stayed active over the years. 😊😊😊
Top marks to the video , it shows the beauty of their lives which we really don't appreciate and respect till the end of our lives, I wish I could change we could change to live and understand what their lives are really is about.
It's kind of depressing. Seeing Tim Robbins, didn't even know he was in that movie, and didn't recognize him now from Shawshank. I'm 50 now, these are the last 10 years I have of still being able to do agile things. Depressing.
Some people don’t age very well. How they are able to so drastically change is unbelievable. I still am the good looking man I’ve always been. Just Blessed !
We have all aged! Not all of us as well as others. Who cares when there is still amazing entertainment like this we can look back on and remember our glory days! Thank you for the memories ❤️
Some good hair dye helps keep the young hair look too. No way he could have no greys. But he’s in great shape for 58! Even with face lifts I think his face looks nicely aged. After just rewatching the first one he really looked baby young in it. Smooth soft young pup skin.
Cruise (Maverick)has kept in shape with his looks! It’s a shame about Kilmer (Iceman)we hope he gets well & returns to film(His performances in Tombstone as Doc Holiday & Morrison in Doors we’re tremendous & overlooked by his peers).
@@johncook3689 Weight and Age is upon us all! Some age gracefully, some don’t. I don’t think she looks terrible, she just looks older. Celebrity People are in public eye a lot; take everything into consideration.

Clarence Gilyard did a guest visit to our university around 2017 to direct a play in our theatre department and was a delight to work alongside without a hint of arrogance. Really poured into our students. My husband did an HVAC job for Kelly McGillis back in the 2000’s and found her to be very nice as well.
I recently watched a sweet , made for TV movie she was in. She is comfortable being herself. Looking back on the past can either be a cause for joy or remorse. I'm sure she has beautiful memories of those days as well as many plans for so much more in her future with her loving family. Beautiful, still ! Inside and out. ❤️🌼
getting old is better than the alternative... my baby sister died at home at the age of 48; I was 52 at the time and had just arrived in Iraq to work 2004. I am still ticking at age 70.
