I had my uncle order this for me thru a magazine order form since I was a kid I always looked at these aviation magazines and saw these videos that I always wanted till my uncle made that wish come true. Such an awesome video!

This video was a staple of my everyday life in the late 80s. As a 6 and 7 year old boy I cherished this VHS like gold. My best friend would watch around the clock and have fantasies of glory and victory. I wish I could revisit those early days but I tell you what...seeing this flooded my brain with thoughts that had long since dissolved away. Thank u for the upload.

Well that was the 80's pal, definitely a time like no other, of course some of the footage was from the 60's/70's, but yeah I think the majority of the footage was the 80's, I had the 30 min. version, it was great but this is better, the Red Flag sequence was originally on my Military Aircraft Video Report series on VHS, damn I'm glad the whole thing's been uploaded to YT, that was a great series pal, I definitely prefer the ones from the 80's to the ones from the 90's.

I remember this as a Kid. I must've got this at the Air Tattoo Mildenhall in 2000/2001 when I was 3/4 years old. They cut Red Alert, Soar Like an Eagle and Thunderbirds. The VHS included an Airshow with an interview with an F18 Pilot. Yes great video, old memories

So I watched this religiously too when I was younger. Almost everyday. The VHS tape was placed in some box in the garage. I forgot the name of the video and I tried looking for it on RU-vid. Moved houses and found the VHS tape in the process and was pretty happy. Didn't have a VCR handy and I was seriously considering buying one just to play this tape. Thought I try RU-vid even though the name of the video is pretty generic and BAM! The whole video was uploaded. THANK YOU! Music brings me back

I was able to score this videotape on amazon a few years back after having not seen it in years. I posted it up on youtube as well, but the quality sucked, even on the tape itself. This quality is SUPERB!! THANK YOU for posting this. Sounds just as crisp and clear as it did back in 1991 when I was 7 years old and watched it all the time. I am DEFINITELY saving this video.

Damn I love that track, so much great music on here, it's way more solid than the music on some of the old military aircraft docs from the 80's I grew up watchin', so many great documentaries from the 80's on these type of aircraft, and it's all thanks to Top Gun.

No FAA seriously restrictin' flight by chokin' down on it by sayin' you only can do this, that, whatever, flight is supposed to be free, now commercial and military flight path regs I get, that's for safety reasons, don't wanna wind up like a bug on a windshield of a 747 or military transport, but the FAA is a GOVERNMENT AGENCY, and The Man is tryin' to take away any sort of freedom, includin' free flight, and he can't have that now can he?

Hearing this again was fantastic. I didn't remember every single track at first, but they came back pretty quick. I actually put it on when I was driving home and was really digging the introduction track. Then it was over and I was like "aw man, I was just getting into that!" Later the F-16 music comes on and it's this super duper optimistic music. The F-16 seemed to get that a lot; from Military Aircraft to Strange Planes - I mean, it makes sense. It's a high-value low-cost win-win success story, plus the plane looks like it's smiling. Then the music drops away and it's tense... and then it's like OHHH MAN THE INTRO'S BACK! It was pretty great That, and ...man, the F-111 music is a great pick for the credits track. Got the right emotion and resolution, but it's got a fast tempo so it really takes you out on a high note.

Falcons first flight was 1974. Huge issues with their fly by wire systems. Surviving family members sued the government over it.

+Adrian u ...The F-111 footage is a collage of clips of 'Varks taking off from bases all over the world including footage during its prototype days. The only tail code I could see was 'UR', and I'm guessing that it's Upper Heyford AFB in UK. And the tail number indicates that it's an F-111D. BTW; Tail code for Upper Heyford AFB now is 'UH'.

@@techguru101a I doubt Spotify has it, since all of the music are from music libraries for movie/video production. For example, the music for the Thunderbirds segment can be found here under the name Our Hero (for the beginning where they enter their F-16s), and Movie Magic (for the flying sequences) manhattan.sourceaudio.com/#!explorer?b=3453496
