#topgunmaverick #topgun #tomcruiseedit #fanvidfeed The end is inevitable, Maverick. Your kind is headed for extinction. Music: Sleeping At Last - Arctic
Many have whined that TG Mav is a "woke" movie because women aviators in the "box" seat. There are many airfares with female combat pilots, and quiet frankly, if someone flying a fighter jet is trying to fry my ass, I don't give a rats for their gender
@williammaxwell1919 I agree. What makes a movie woke is not having woman in it. It's having a Mary Sue. In other words, if during the dog fight trials, she smoked Maverick, than that would be woke. She was out classed just like everyone else, and that's a good thing because her, and the other newbies, becoming pilots better was part of their story. Maverick's was elsewhere, and it is great that the movie makers knew that and stuck with it.
On the final battle, his guns went with "033" rounds remaining before the final kill shot against the 5th gen fighter. THAT was a tribute to 33 years apart between TG movies. Also, if you watch the hand signals Maverick gave to the enemy pilot, there was a part there they did 0-3-3 as well.
From someone growing up the Navy in numerous f-14 tomcat squadronds as a jet mechanic to being in the Navy somewhat still but as a contractor 36 years later this movie seems to complete me. It brings back both joy and sadness from my navy days. Onto the next chapter of my life
The US Navy is glorious. My Uncle Lowell served on carriers in WW2 & Korea. What a man he was and TGM portrays the mental toughness of the Navy to perfection
It hits a note in current culture, people want to feel wanted. So much blame and looking down on people these days, even if the world tells you they don’t want you nothing can bring you back like finding the place you belong.
I cannot being to explain how gorgeous this is. It was so well composed and had such an excellent application and timing of the shots. The "Distinguished, Distinguished, Distinguished" was great highlighting of some key points of who he is and how it is reduced on paper. And how you used Goose!! Him wanting to teach!! And the monologues!! It really connected everything perfectly and show us who Maverick is and how he thinks. Thank you so much for making this!!
Tom, these movies you've been making, someday soon they won't need actors at all. The end is inevitable, Tom. Your kind is headed for extinction. Maybe so, but not today.
For our generation who grew up and joined college (and dying to be a fighter pilot!) during the first TOP GUN Movie , this clip would truly have an emotional impact which later generation would never able to comprehend . Cheers from Malaysia.
" have an emotional impact which later generation would never able to comprehend" So a later generation will be stupid? Not as ambitious as you. Have no feelings? No dreams, not enthusiastic about aviation, hate flying. What do you mean? Your so special that your generation is better? Stay in Malaysia.
Excellent mash-up from 1986-now just wow. This was already my favorite movie and then when I saw Maverick it just took me back and reminded me precisely why Tom is my favorite actor of all time. Jon Hamm is quickly becoming one of my favorites as well. Miles did an excellent job here.
Today on a Teams call I joined, I said “Talk to me Goose” to one of my colleagues and they smiled, I had shared this video with them the other day and they knew what I meant. I now wait for the day I can say “Not today” just to prove that nothing is inevitable.
Man, I don’t know what it is about this movie: a great challenge, a great triumph; making amends for the past, and looking ahead to a brighter future - a future we all can have a hand in.
Absolutely beautiful!!!! My uncle was an admiral the first commanding officer for TOPGUN here in San Diego, CA! This is an incredible video! Thank you! I am so grateful for this emotional video! You’re awesome !!! God bless you so much !!!!!!
Maverick & Ice Man Started Out As Rivals! And Became Brothers 💯🤙🏾! Goose Still Talks To Him! And He Is Uncle To Rooster! And Hooked Back Up With Penny, The Admiral’s Daughter! 👏
@@yousifalezzi1198 "The Peter principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to "a level of respective incompetence" Functionally, the hierarchy feeds itself by sending the most competent workers up one level...the grill guy at McDonalds gets promoted to assistant manager, and if he become proficient at that level he becomes a store manager. Etc. For Mav, the best fighter pilot in the world, promoting him from Capt. to Admiral would have taken him out of the cockpit and put him behind a desk - like it did for Cyclone (Jon Hamm) Warlock (the Black admiral that was with Cyclone) and Iceman
@@linkaimei6118 NOT an “admin” role but he WILL become a manager of Navy personnel. The higher ups still get to fly occasionally, but they become more important to the Navy the higher in rank they go.
Chills! Not today! New motto. Maverick the man, the legend, the inspiration. And only to think that TC is five years older than I am, where even Ed Harris looks better than I do…
I did this exact same thing when I was leaving work one day as an ATC at Travis AFB. Even nodded to the pilot back-taxiing I got in trouble the next day lol
Man, I so wanted a sequel, but so didn’t. If ya know what I mean?! So, so pleasantly surprised. Such a good, good film. Like a time machine back to my beloved 80s. The 80s: _Lived ‘em. Loved ‘em. Miss ‘em._
'Because Admirals don't fly, sir.' - 'Captain' Wedge Antilles to Admiral Ackbar, Rogue Squadron. From one Captain to another. Two of the greatest fictional pilots we have ever known.

The bombing mission is just a modern day US flag waving gung-ho adaptation of the bombing mission that was a central part of the plot in the 1964 movie 633 Squadron, a British film. Rule Britannia.
Kind of a bizarre question , can anyone tell me the background filler music playing in the background? I've heard other video montages play the same music.
Anyone else realize that the admiral telling Maverick that one day drones will replace pilots is the same actor who plays the admiral in the movie "Stealth" who develops the drone EDI? Don't know if that was intentional, but it is brilliant none the less.
