I ordered my box set 1st October. Told release date 5th December. Courier delivered 30th November. When I opened it I didn't think it was worth the £100 I paid for it.
I love the fact that the steelbooks are designed together and to complement each other. I with my OCD love that, and these are only available in this set so I'm glad I got my order in for quite a cheap price. I see these things going for a retail price of 150 Euros in stores in Germany which is crazy. Two brilliant action films together and one of the best sequels ever made. I'm really glad they released an edition like this.
Kelly mcGillis was dropped from before the title for Top Gun. She was great in the 1986 movie. The emphasis here on this steel book is clearly more on the gadgets /extras than the barefaced minimalist DVDs 📀
It's available world wide? Really no one is supprised. 🤔😁Dnt worry you'll have the last laugh when its out of print and it goes for £650 on ebay😎🤔😍👍👍GoodLuck to you.
Nice review Richard, I love your almost OCD in depth detail you put in them! I feel this set was a little underwhelming though? Do you think there will be a 4K Matrix steel book set of all 4 movies? 👍👍
Thank you. I try not to miss anything. Yes, I feel that they could have done better. Throw in a soundtrack. Disc art. Internal art. Posters. So much more they could have done. And we do have a 4k steel set for the matrix. Have you seen this ??? The Matrix 4 film Deja Vu 4k UltraHD Blu-ray steelbook limited edition tin box unboxing from @Zavvi ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PaI-StmvRFI.html
I missed this completely, looks mighty fine, probably better than the last Matrix? Thanks Richard you probably do this already, but if you could always comment on the included Bluray whether they contain the same transfers as the 4K, or previous old release? 👍👍
It`s an ok box set, but there are much better box sets out there, much cheaper. For that price it would have been nice, with a making of book, or mabey the soundtracks for both movies.
Great look and perfect in depth review. Just a shame that the set is so bland. Is it me or for a film that must have so many cool production images of the Jets, the crew, the IMAX camera, the cast in basic and The Star and Director on set. The imagery just seems to lack imagination. So many sets these days are looking to be of an environment and evoke a feeling but where is the movie making magic on the box. Just go look at the original ST and Laserdisc which are just so Top Gun instead of this £100 generic grey box. I just miss the balance of Laserdisc sets something like the Pioneer Platoon edition collectors set would have been perfect for this movie. Anyways... thank you for taking your time to produce a great video. Thumbs up from me
Got nightmare at noon with book new release on arrow and the croupier with slip and book also dr terrors house of horror new release on fabulous films with poster and book
Yea here in the states it's over $100 and not sure why they didn't just release a steelbook by itself. It's a shame you have to pay this much for a big box that's gonna take up alot of space just to have the steelbook, they definitely went a little overboard. If they wanted to include all of this, they should have went the arrow video route and put the steelbook in a cardboard slip cover with enough to put some of this stuff in it
What an underwhelming so called super fan edition. Clearly Paramount is clueless and must think we are morons. Just canceld mine in transit. Missed opportunity here. How about a flag, a small book, signatures, ..... Rubbish.
