Funnily enough the old VHS box set was a lot better, you got the complete original screenplay, a making of book, a film cell and some large photos. Having said all that I still can't wait for the standard UK release a week on Monday.
How can they justify the price of this it be interesting how much it cost to addition together well the film is £24.99 so your paying the extra cost for the rest of the set
I was just checking this out on Amazon, it appears that the standard 4k release has 3 discs but this only has 2, you would have thought they would have included the bluray in this release considering the price. Great review as always, Glenn.
That standard edition you mentioned is the UK release (and the only version in the UK, at least for now). The standard edition in the US is 2 discs as well.
If Disney / 20th Century are involved then that is WHY its so rubbishy and cheap. Disney only concentrate on Streaming nowadays, they are not interested in physical media. So we are lucky to have this on 4K Disc in the first place. Let alone in a special box. But I wouldn't buy that special box-set above, because its only the movie I'm interested in, not fancy cardboard.
thanks for the unboxing video. i saw Japan version too but that have 3 discs and vertical book. why its different? and i cant find unboxing video of it too.
They have "destroyed" a movie that could be seen without black stripes in full screen, they go and put it in 4k with black stripes... I'll stick with the 4k version that is on the internet "4k open matte".. what a destruction that have made..
The edition is nice, however for its cost it should offer more. Is lost a bit in the white card messages, and is missing posters, more colourful art cards, a replica of the heart of the seas, the main painting of Rose with the necklace. Well a lot missing and despite the cardboard’s quality it doesn’t justify the price. Thank you for sharing
