"Does the audience sing this part"... The Clique sings all the words in all the parts. T0P provides the atmosphere and sings in key and on tempo as a guide for the rest of us. 😅😂
Only 2 shows in my life, but the experience is UNLIKE any other I've ever experienced at a live show and I've seen plenty from all genres of music. Absolutely incredible...
This song is very underrated on Blurryface - one of my favs The cool thing about it is a lot of people will hear it once and think Tyler is saying he's the "Message Man", but it's really like "Lane Boy" in the fact it should be "Lane, Boy" and "Message, Man" - he got some backlash about talking about heavy topics like depression and suicide - some people thought he was promoting it when really he's bringing awareness- so he's saying please be careful when you're trying to tell people the messages of my songs, only a few are going to know what I mean (you don't know my brain, the way you know my name, etc) the rap verse takes a shot at the music industry again and people using very simple rhyme schemes and he's saying look, i just did it and it took me 3 minutes to write this (something you're all impressed with) Also, during their last tour he put the black paint on his hands during this song - to my knowledge, he's never shown himself putting the paint on his hands during a live performance so i'm sure there was some significance as to why he chose this song next, i'd say to do The Hype (Official Video), then do The Hype (Berlin Session) immediately after - you can release them as two separate reactions, but I'd film them close together so you can see how he remakes the song
TØP have always said when they write songs they always think of how it would sound live first and foremost and that’s exactly why their shows are like nothing else
Next time you listen to this song imagine having the entire crowd doing the backup vocal melodies. This song is meant to hear live and to have crowd participation
Skeleton Clique show this love so we can make it happen. Okay so Kyle, you mentioned in a previous TOP reaction you'd love to see their process. The Hype - Berlin Session is just that. PLEASE do a two in one reaction video. Watch The Hype studio version music video then compare it to the remixed The Hype - Berlin Session.
You know they’re into a song when Kyle starts head banging/grooving & Eric has a stank face lol 😂 Love your guys reactions! It makes me feel like I’m listening for the first time again 😁
people get mad when he says "these lyrics aren't for everyone, only few understand" but i think he's saying his songs could mean something different to everyone.
Truly love looking for double entendres from TØP like in this song "Please use discretion when you're messing with the Message Man" versus "Please use discretion when you're messing with the message, man."
Couple of bangers from their newest album. Redecorate, The Outside, No Chances, Choker Redecorate in particular is very underrated. Especially lyrically. Very powerful.
A Twenty One Pilots song you should definitely listen to is Anathema. It’s a great song and has really meaningful lyrics. Fun fact about the song, any time they played it live they’d bring out a second drum set where Josh would play by the crowd, and Tyler would play on the other drum set.
If you wanna see how Tyler is brilliant with his vocals you gotta see Ride the Live Brooklyn sessions. The session as a whole is great but that one ❤💀👽
Yep, yep! Every song is uniquely theirs and awesome. Loved your in sync 'wuh?' when the rap kicked in. I was so proud of myself whne I first learned how to keep up with Tyler on this track! Def need more TOP content fron you two music junkies!! And their sound, they write every song with their stadium full of fans in mind. They love us and it shows! And we love them, of course! The few, the proud, and the emotional, FPE, baby! 💛|-/💛
The judge or doubt i think should be next especially since i think you vibe a lot with blurryface stuff Also tear in my heart has a music vid, but my personal favorite is Morph 😉
The live versions of Message Man in Takeover Tour and Icy Tour were visually and metaphorically dark as fuck, lore heavy, and I was feeling it. For good reason they toned it down for festivals since the crowd may not know the lore.
One if my favorites. That rap was amazing with the combination of Reggae, synths, haunting beats, lyricism, musicality, and symbolism. I mean come on! Only TØP can pull it off.
Twenty One Pilots - The Hype (Berlin Sessions) or Twenty One Pilots - Fall Away Live Ft. Dr. Blum are both a must! Love the reaction! You may not get the lyrics in the videos themselves, but you can pull up the lyrics next to you.
I want them to listen to the album version of The Hype and then the Berlin session to understand how they completely reinvent their songs time and time again
I know I comment this like every twenty one pilots reaction, but you HAVE to do the Scaled and Icy album! The music videos continue the Trench storyline!
the “message man” in this song isn’t actually referring to a person it’s meant to be “please use discretion when you’re messing with the message, man” showing how people have a hard time understanding their lyrics, this is further backed up by the “these lyrics aren’t for everyone, only few understand.” line. great reaction! i’d love to see you guys react to more 21p and maybe some ghost at some point (not sure if you’ve checked them out yet)
My favorite song by them right now is Redecorate. Something about that song just really resonates with me and I haven’t seen anyone talking about it, but I love seeing any of their songs reacted to.
The clique is going crazy right now trying to solve a puzzle to see if we find album details or something. The only clues we have is a Morse code on an ad for BOOKS and a 10 hour long campfire video with Ned, the creature from chlorine. (Christmassy version of TØP songs)
I don't know if it was their intention when they said that only a few people would understand, but it took me a long time to realize that the lyrics say: "Please use discretion When you're messing with the message, man" and not "message man". That comma actually makes a lot of difference in the meaning of the lyrics imo.
I love your reactions about TOP every time, thanks guys, I see lots of recommendations but apparently POLARIZE is often forgotten but such a BANGER!!!! Also Heathens with Stranger Things live In Romania is Amazing!!! Like almost every song of them.
There's a video out there that says if you play this song in reverse, it has a subliminal message (which could be the message, man).. you can hear Tyler talking to the devil (or Blurryface), pretty haunting indeed!
I’ve just been watching every video of y’all reacting to twenty one pilots and I like the videos before I even watch them 😂 I LOVE IT keep reacting to them !!👏
They have so many deep BARS in their songs. You have to start with the earlier stuff because it all connects. They are like NF the way they connect their songs. It’s their on universe. Start with the album Vessels. That’s where it all starts to connect. They have an earlier album named after themselves but do those songs after. This is the order you should go in. Start with “Car radio”, then “Ode to Sleep”, “Migraine”, “Holding on to you”, “Guns for hands”, and “Trees”( live from the fox theatre). After that album you’re gonna head to “Blurryface”. From that album you should listen to “Stressed out”(I’m sure you guys have hear this one already) after that do “Lane Boy”, “Ride”, “Tear in my heart”, Fairy local”, The judge”, Message man”, “Goner” and finish with “Heavydirtysoul” but I know you guys have done that one already. Then it goes to the album “Trench”. Start with “Jumpsuit”(it’s the continuation of Heavydirtysoul) then “Nico and the Niners”, “Levitate” after that do “The Hype”(Regular version and Berlin version) then “Cholrine”, “Neon Gravestones”, followed by “Moph”, “Bandito”, “Pet Cheetah” and finish with “Leave the City”. Then their most recent album you should listen in this order. “Shy away”, “Saturday”, “Outside”, for the music videos. Then go in order from the album then check out the live performance which plays more into the Dema lore.
i'd love to see yall react to some of the tracks off of their second album, regional at best. that album's special to many of their fans, and i think it show how much their musical style has grown and evolved over the years. some of my favorite tracks off of it are forest, lovely, slowtown, anathema, and glowing eyes
this isn't one of my favourites from them but i loved it when they performed it live on the takeover and icy tours. Tyler painted his hands black on stage in this ritualistic performance.
Yo yo another song and follow song y’all should def do is the hype and then do the hype Berlin session … it’s so freaking amazing !!! Love y’all’s reaction to top so much !!!
I love your reactions so much. You make me fall in love with them all over again. I would so love to be there when you see them live. You are clickies already. Now you need to listen to Chey @shlofolina because when she finally met Tyjoe and she ask if she was on track with her lore theory he didn't said no... 😅 I saw them live 7 times already and it is not more only because I am in Canada and it is so expensive to travel to the states. Side note, not related at all to ToP, if you let this grandma fangirl a bit but that t-shirt and those groans will fuel my fantasies for many night Eric. There I said it.
I have 2 things that I call the "Scaled and Icy Duo" which are music videos of "Saturday" and "The Outside" another sugguestion is the live version of Stressed Out from the Emotional Roadshow Tour Or the Bandito Tour.
MORE TWENTY ONE PILOTS? FUCK YEAAHH love your reactions, it's always amazing and i'm loving to see more TOP and Billie. My today recommendations are: Pet Cheetah, Bandito and Leave The City. Be ready for some of the best songs from Twenty One Pilots.
