These videos are very helpful! I've just started learning how to dance K-pop (self-teaching myself through the internet) and I have absolutely zero background in dance, so all of these videos are so SO helpful. Thank you so much! 😊
Ma'am in next 2 or 3 years I am planning to audition for JYP and these tutorials are my only source of hope...could you please all the basics till then??
I will continue to upload basics as often as I can 😊 If you follow some tutorial videos you can learn basics and moves there too and you should have a good collection of moves within a year!
NCT Dream just released Hello Future and I've been wondering all day how they did the foot choreo in the chorus and it's a basic move... I'm learning it
This was the coolest video. I’m just learning for fun, but this tutorial was literally perfect. Not too complex so we’re not overwhelmed, and we’re getting actually helpful foundations. Also it was slow enough to understand but not boring at all, and can I say how sweet she is! 🥺🥰 Like she made me feel good and have fun! Super encouraging and practical and she smiled so much 😊😊 really really nice to watch, I already really like her! 😄 and I’m so thankful she makes these videos! Let’s keep practicing 😉
as somebody who never practiced kpop dance before (I’m not even that much into kpop at all I just thought the choreos were cool and I wanted to get myself to dance again 😭) these videos are really helpful, thank you!! I used to dance ballet but I totally stopped when the pandemic hit and didn’t pick it up again, the strength in the ankles stayed tho so the heels lifts were quite easy haha, even managed to go down on ten counts! on the other hand it’s so difficult for me to get more relaxed in my body and get that cool, laid back vibe that you and other kpop dancers have, I’m especially struggling with my shoulders, as I’m used to having to keep them straight and open all the time haha, but i’m confident that practicing and listening to your explanations will help a lot ☺️ thank you again for the videos, and have a great day :)
Hi! Yes changing to a new discipline of dance can be hard! I did gymnastics as a kid so I also had to break through the muscle memory of those straight shapes, pointed toes and open chest! It definitely does come with practice and before you know it, you'll have settled into the new shapes! There's a lot more tension in ballet than kpop/hip hop so every so often do a good big breath out and shake out all the muscles. That might help you to find the more relaxed, laid back type image. I'm so glad you're finding the videos helpful and let me know if there's anything else I can help with 🥰
This is sooo helpful. I started dancing kpop dances a couple of weeks ago and realised how difficult it is without knowing footwork. I'm absolute beginner and sometimes even the easiest things are too hard for me, but your videos are really good. Thanks a lot.
Footwork is definitely a huge part of K-Pop. Well done on starting your dance journey 👏🏻 Lots of things will be hard at first, but you'll get it in no time with some practice. 😊 I'm so glad my videos are helpful for you 🥰 Keep going, you got this 💪🏻
Thank you for breaking down and explaining these steps! I never really understood the box steps, ball changes, and low skips, so they looked confusing and were hard to even recognize. This is so incredibly helpful!
I'm so glad that was helpful for you! It's usually the easiest steps that are hardest to recognise because no one explains them. My teachers trained me right from the very beginning so I'm glad I can do the same for you. 😊
Thank you for this series! I am 100% a couch potato so I appreciate the super basic explanations, like telling us how the muscles should feel when you’re holding each position. Hoping I can complete the 30 days 💪
i literally had an epiphany with ball changes loll these moves are truly foundational, now i'm just going through choreos i've seen that use these steps hehe. this also makes some sense with shuffle moves that i've seen as well! now i feel a bit more knowledgeable and less intmidated by all these dances i see. i learned so much today! :)
Thank you very much from all my heart. As a beginner, I started to lose hope about how to learn to dance. Because I really didn't know how to start, I mean what is the first step to learn. I didn't want to start learning from song dances because it's difficult for me. But fortunately for me, I found your series of videos. I am working on watching them all and memorizing all the steps if this will help me learn and improve my dancing.❤️
Don't if you are going to see this, but I just wanna say Thank You I'm Autistic, so don't have much coordination. I always had the dream to dance, but the tutorial has always been hella difficult for someone like me, and I always felt frustrated and cried a lot feeling sad to be so different and terrible in everything I also can't get into a dance school coz I don't have the money or time for it But your videos have been helping me a lot, and I'm learning so fast with them, you're an amazing teacher, thank you so much
You're very welcome! I'm autistic too and I struggled a lot with my coordination in dance for the first few years until I built up enough training and muscle memory to offset it. (Turn the music off and I still fall over and bump into everything, but at least when I dance I look graceful 😂)
Hi there, if you are looking for ways to put the basics into practice, the 30 Day Beginner Programme is set up to balance learning basics and choreographies so people can practice the steps as they go along: ru-vid.com/group/PL32N8jNjUmGj9ctM9DXd2EvsBu4RFyDt0 It's my teaching philosophy to keep things slow and steady, I would much prefer students to spend a few days working on basics and build them up to speed slowly, than to try and speed them up immediately within the same video. This is intended to protect the body as it learns the new shapes and to help the moves to set deeper and more solidly into the muscle memory.
I wanted to start learning to dance again both to exercise and to get better control of my body:) I did show choir and theater several years ago. I love these step by steps so much
like WTF this video (and all your others ones) is EXACTLY what i want/need, what i was looking for !!!!!! How can you don't have more view and likes ??????
I just stumbled upon your video and it's been amazing. You example the steps very well and I like how you break it down to make it easier to follow along.
Thank you for your awesome videos. The basics are so important to learn a complete choreography later, and you explained it really good 😃👌🏻. Thank you so much, from me as a beginner 🤗🫶🏻
Footwork definitely takes time! Especially when it gets fast. Awesome that you already have isolation experience, that's one of the hardest areas to master 🤩
Thank you so much! It's perfect for a beginner like me. I was curious if I should continue practicing barefoot or better to put on some shoes, because those exercises were kind of painful to do barefooot. What kind of shoes would you recommend or it doesn't matter?
Day three complete. (If this is annoying anybody, I'm sorry. I'm just trynna make the comment section my accountability partner so that I don't become lazy n procrastinate. 😅)
I'm planing to give Audition at yg and this is my one and only hope cause i Don't know a single dance move i hope you will help me by upholding everything for a beginner
Can you make a video on a whole guide on K-pop footwork which includes tips, tricks idols’ use and the basic things they need to keep in mind for footworks please. And also can you answer why does some dancers’ legs look like they're being forced / pushed to do dance moves ?
There is a lot of footwork basics to cover, so I don't think I could fit everything in one video, but I will upload more in the future. Can you explain a bit more about the dancers' legs? Is there an example you can show me? So I can give you the best answer 😊
@@PinkKPopAcademy thank you 😊 and about the dancer's legs’ I was talking about beginner dancers and whenever non-dancers, like me who try to do dance our leg moves looks very forced and maybe stiff? any beginner dancer with no dance experience would be a good example
Hi, I have a tutorial for head isolations which will definitely help to loosen up neck muscles and get them used to moving more naturally! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DBiCmi0oWP0.html
From some months I am trying to give audition can you upload basic to professional dance steps thanks you so much I am 12 I am practicing for audition thx wish me luck
