Great advice 🤓💗 I have a rechargeable electric hot water bottle (you can unplug it when using it) that can be super helpful for when you’re in hospital on your own. I prefer real hot water bottles, but great to have if that’s not an option! Also as a last resort if I’m in hosp and don’t have anything, usually you can find a member of staff who will fill up a blue plastic glove with hot water for the tap, as a make shift hot water bottle. Not the safest option and you have to be careful with it but good if you are desperate and waiting for pain meds to kick in! Re peeing I find sticking my hand under a running tap surprisingly helpful sometimes 🙂 Also if anyone is struggling to bend or clean themselves after abdominal surgery (particularly if quite a bit of blood coming out), peri bottles (also called portable bidets) are amazing! They’re also good for just helping you feel more clean if you’re in hosp and perhaps unable to shower but able to make it to the loo xx
@@sophieseger oh I see, so you put the heat on your shoulders not on the incision. I’m getting the surgery for the first time in 2 weeks so I found your tips helpful just wasn’t sure about this one. Thanks!
