After lot of research since 4 months I am using Bosch front load machine due to the following reasons. 1. Energy efficient 2. Less water consumption. 3. Better quality wash and lot of different modes like Antimicrobial . 4. In future I will go for dedicated Bosch dryer which will be installed on existing front load machine .

Top load can be used even in areas water troubles or timing, we can fill water with drum manually. Front load you can not add water manually. Top load if power fail is frequent and for longer periods you can take out from machine and do hand wash, but for front load water will spill over if we open door due to power failure

Also, very impotent is the size: top load are much less wide, making it easy to place in tight spots while the front load allow you to use the top side for a drier or shelves

Hi Saumya. I wish i had this video way before....And yes precise to the point as always!!!!. I would give my feedback on my LG front load(8kg inverter). The washing quality is way better than top load. And as you mentioned, really gentle on cloths. Water consumption is comparatively less. And this gimick with RPM!!!!....i would say 1200 RPM is more than sufficient though there are models that goes up to 1400(personal preference). Better to use liquid detergents. Nowadays all machines comes with inbuilt heater. Yes they do have an impact on washing quality. But not sure about the "Steam 99.9% germ killing story in LG", may be its again their marketing stuff. I preferred LG since we have reliable service centers in my locality. My first preference was to buy Bosch(More positive comments from known users), but just due to lack of service centers, hopped in for LG. Im not regretting, its just the craze to experience a bosh product. We do have a long history with LG. Times has to answer the life expectancy of these machines. Im happy with LG as of now. Waiting to hear back once you make your buying choice. As always keep going......

@@TheGrapevineIndia Saumya, as of the drying, its not like actual drying. We do have to air dry again after the spin cycle of the machine. I would say better to have a separate dryer if sun drying wouldn't be possible in your locality. We are a family of 3. We do wash quiet a heavy load. That's the reason we went for 8kg,5 star rating(6 months old). I did buy this from amazon for around 38k(bit less now). The main difference in price was associated to color variants and not much with load capacity in LG.

Hi ! Have you done anything about Impeller vs Agitator washing machines. Ive heard impeller models dont rotate or juggle the clothes enough for a good wash. But i also hate the agitator arm sticking out that makes loading difficult and decreases the load capacity. Which one would you suggest ?

Hi sowmya...I used to have IFB front load but now I have top load and I feel very easy n comfortable to use top load.... .if power goes off the clothes used to get locked in front load ....but in top load we can remove .....I have also observed we used to get more electricity bill with front load than top load......

Hi Pallavi! Thanks for sharing :) My mother also moved from IFB front to top load a few years back and found top load more comfortable. I moved from top load to front load recently mainly for the dryer and I definitely prefer the front load. I have started getting about 400-500 rupees more bill due to the front load - but that is mainly cos' this one has heating. If used with no heating - front load is more energy efficiency compared to top load.

It needed more water.for one wash cycle we needed 3 large bucket of water.now am using ifb front load washing machine. For entire washing process it needs only 3.5 buckets of water.there is no fluctuation in current bill since I am using only cold water.front load gives cleaner dresses.but because of its closed tub nature it will have stale smell.

I have a 15 year old toshiba automatic top load and a 8 year old front load siemens. The top load never had any maintenance issue, siemens i recently had to shell out 10k rupees for drum change. I think due to positioning of the motor, front load will encounter more maintenance cost in the long run.

jst a correction, plz rechk once.... in front load too clothes can be added in between cycle. there are 3 phases actually, wash-rinse-dry. until it reaches rinse phase clothes can be added in FL too. May b some brands/old purchased ones doesn't have but 5yrs old do have that provision and apart from this, may I know whether washing machine, washer_dryer one and the same. if not wat this the difference. if possible show some pictures in ur next part

Hi Lakshmi, perhaps you are right regarding newer washing machines as the water is not filled completely in a front load, but in general it is not recommended. If it is possible, it will be awesome. A washer-dryer looks like a front load washing machine but has drying capability as well. I’ll cover that in my next video 😊

So my question is did top load washing machine also have rubber gasket in them or not??? Hi Shubham, thank you :) Top load washing machine does not have a gasket. In front load - the rubber gasket needs to be cleaned and kept dry - otherwise you are right, there can be mould and mildew problem. Hi Milaan, if you use heating in the front load, the electricity consumption would definitely be higher. So overall with upfront and running - front load will be higher, if you use heating.

Hi, Front load washing machines have high wattage due to heater in it. I have seen LG front load and the power wattage mentions 1700 watt whereas the top load washing machine has a lower wattage as it does not have a built in heater. So I presume that the power consumption in front load washing machine will definitely be high. What’s your view on this. Thanks 😊

Hi Anil! If we do a like to like comparison - front load and too load of a specific capacity with heater in both - front load takes lower. However lot of top load washing machines come without heater and hence it will seem like top load consumes lesser.

Hi Farjana, you will need atleast an 8+ kg just to fit the king size blanket. If you add clothes also with that - you will need a larger size - 10+ kgs. Dryer in a regular front load is not 100% but will be better than top load. If you want 100% drying, you will need to go for a washer dryer. Hope this helps.

Hey....you forgot to add one thing....these days most front load washing machines also come with a feature to add clothes mid cycle.....the difference is just that it'll take some time...10 minutes or something to drain out the water then u can add the clothes in and resume the wash cycle.

Hmm I just bought a house that came with a front loader washer and it has mold in the plastic and it doesn’t not drain water our when spinning , I think top loaders are better for a home, easier to use.

Hi Syeda, mould is common if the washing machine is not cleaned often - esp. left to dry after wash. I recommend you to run a cleaning cycle. Regarding not draining - looks like the machine is not maintained well. It needs to be descaled often (same with top load too). Front load has mould issue on the gasket which seals the door. Then, the spider that holds the drum will have corrosion issue in 5 years. Maintenance is a big headache in Front loaders. Add to that the high electricity consumption due to longer wash cycle. The only silver lining is less use of water. Otherwise, top loaders are the way to go.

Hi Swetank, in a regular washing machine - a dryer will only dry about 70-80%. So you will still need to air dry your clothes. In a washer-dryer or separate dryer, it gets dried completely, so no air drying required. And no, I have nothing to do with Grapevine publishers 😊

Hi! Thanks for sharing! Energy per kg is an interesting concept to use - in general the vendors showcase it per cycle. From my research it shows TL uses more water that of FL. Also highlighted on the samsung website . 5- Which uses less water? Front-loading washing machines use less water and electricity than the average top-loading washing machine. An efficient front-loading washer can help better sustain our environment.

@@TheGrapevineIndia what I’m trying to say here is that the there are some calculations to get the energy label on wm.. and the calculation for FL and Tl differs, hence u cannot compare FL when it comes to energy. U have rightly said regarding Water consumption. But it’s the opposite for energy a energy labelled cycle on flt wm will consume 400Wh and a tl will consume 60Wh. U will get a idea of what I’m saying about energy consumption when to read thru user manual. Label can be used to compare flt to a flt & a tl to another tl, but not for comparing a tl with a FL.

We used 6kg top load for 15 yrs.. all good. Then fmly got bigger (5) n we bought 8kg Front load. Many of our clothes spl t shirts n stretchable jeans started lose their firmness n texture. In top load, RPM was 600 whereas Front load worked on 1400 RPM. May be that's the reason? Coz it ran too fast n against gravity in Front load.. We used same liquid in both cases. What do you think reason can be of our clothes losing its shine n firmness in front load?

Hi Ratnesh, the higher rpm is for better drying in front load. You can adjust that to be lower too during your wash cycle.

Thank you for your kind words 🙂🙂🙂I'm blessed with good comment section - that was my biggest fear with starting a RU-vid channel :D I used a top load for 10 years+ before moving to a front load and my consideration was more so because I wanted a dryer in it. The washing quality these days of top load washers are fairly good already. There is a subtle difference in washing quality, but in my opinion that could be negligible - speaking from experience as I just moved from top to front load. Panasonic top load (amzn.to/3qUk9cY) is said to be awesome. They have good tech and good reviews across the board.

Front load machine ka bearing and seals ka problem bohot ayenge kyuki bearing pe pura load rehta hai front load me.. bearing and drum badalna padte hai cost around 6000 and rubber seel 2500.. after 4 years warranty period.. jis din warranty khatam front load me samjo paise baatne ke liye ready ho jao...

Hi Vijayam, thanks for writing in! Spare parts will depend on the brand you purchase - not specific to front or top load. Durability for both is around 10-11 years. I've been using a top load for about 11 years now. My parents used an IFB front load for over 10 years.

I have a front load 8 year old siemens and a 15 yr old toshiba top load. Top never had a problem, the siemens i had to spend 10k recently to change the drum. I think due to the positioning of the motor, front load will have more wear and tear and hence more maintenance.

Hi Anurag, such a good thought! Front load washing machine does have a dryer but it gives about 70-80% drying. A washer-dryer gives 100% drying (but is more expensive and can wrinkly pure cotton clothes). Hi, i have been a user of top load till now and am planning to switch to front load mainly to save water (top load used 3 to 4 times the water compared to top load right? Or am i wrong?) The question i have is my lg top load or most top load, have manual adjustments. Like i start the machine and autosense calculates the water level and wash time etc, but then i can pause and increase or decrease the wash time, water level, number of rinses etc which i do most of the time. Will i be able to adjust everything manually in front load?

Hi! Yes front load uses a lot less water than top load. You can do manual adjustments before the start of the cycle, not during the cycle in most cases - depending on the machine you decide to purchase. Not all front loads auto sense weight and allow to add clothes mid cycle.
