Top or Flop? CHANEL Spring-Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear Show Review 

I find often that people who dislike VV’s designs and say they miss Karl were people who enjoyed watching the shows but wouldn’t buy and wear the clothing. And I would agree that Karl’s shows were fun to watch! But for me, for what I would wear and love and incorporate into my wardrobe for years to come- these designs and shows are 💯💯💯

I really love when you review Chanel fashion shows, no one do it like you. I hope this video will get more views, you deserve it! Have you ever thought about doing reviews of Chanel precollection based on pictures?

I really hope we see the end of pre-collections. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE needs to buy expensive clothes every month. Its overconsumption! And are brands even selling enough to justify showing pre-collections? Designers are already stretched thin, but Virginie ESPECIALLY; she has to do Spring, Fall, Resort, Cruise, Metiers d'art, and spring & fall Haute Couture. Even with the support of a massive team like she has at Chanel, it's still too much. And not only is she obligated to make those collections, she has to create something that will sell in markets across the globe, because you know C.E.HOES at Chanel only care about the bottom line. I'm guilty of not liking some of her collections, but I (and other people) need to remember she's being stretched every way possible and being creatively stifled. My problem with this collection is actually the runway, ITS GOD AWFUL. So many distractions, and the layout is so awkward. Why are people sitting in little arena type seats? Half of the audience are only seeing the back of models as they walk by. Not to mention seeing all of the phones sticking out. And FOR THE LOVE OF GOD will they stop showing collections in dark settings? the black carpeting & walls makes everything look dreary.

There are a number of looks from this collection I like, and I am a fan of the logo top and bottom piece

I wish she played on the patchwork aesthetic much more. Also, I think the tweed needs to be summer-ized much more. I very much appreciate the asymmetry also. It takes a lot more process, design and effort to get it right too.

I was on the fence about this collection but you helped me reflect and change my mind. ❤ the denim and wide leg pants are my faves in the show.

It may be odd, but the thing that stood out the most to me was the headbands- I hadn't seen so many in a while. I'd love some of them, but we all know the price point is going to be...tough to swallow.

I LOVE this collection.

I like that little top handle bag too. I wonder if it has a kiss lock? We have such a limited amount of stock here in Sydney that it's almost impossible to buy any bags unless you a VIC. I prefer pre-loved anyway, I'll just have to wait a couple of years for someone to get fed up with that bag 😎 You did a great job of reviewing the show, thank you 🥰

Mixed feelings, some pieces look nice but others look like your average Zara or H&M discount clothes.

I would love to see these designers creating outfits for petite women too. They've always taken the safe approach of designing for tall and slim women. At the price they sell their clothes, their market goes in great proportions to mature wealthy women who are not slim anymore😅
