or manager, I think management, finance and or operations and supply chain management have great potential. Also analyst positions are usually entry level.
Actually the few retail jobs that I’ve had, had more managers that came in with degrees vs those who had only moved up internally. Ex: CVS, H&M, and Macy’s. It was upsetting because these people came in with barely any knowledge of how the employees felt but corporate didn’t care because they had a big name degree. I’ve trained about 5 managers (as a sales associate/supervisor) on how to work a register because they’ve never used one before. So it does happen.
Do you have an idéal of how long does it take to become a financial manager for someone graduating from a master in finance this year and that is motivated to work his way up right out of school
Our intention is not to be misleading, just to provide information to help you make choices. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS.gov) has a wealth of information available to help students and job seekers alike.
In 2012 I graduated from NYU with a bachelors in economics and got a job as a sales rep for a midsized corporation making a base pay of 3.5k a month plus monthly commissions from sales on average around 2.2k. I took night classes at NYU stern school of business and got promoted to director of sales when I got out of school, skipping sales manager in the promotional ladder and I was making 13k a month. In 2017 I got promoted to vp of sales, and I must say sales is the best route, especially in the way of promotional opportunities. A degree in economics basically opens up half of all business related careers.
Guy Sinatra I got out of student debt in 2017. Also, a BA isn’t necessity if you go for an MBA after your undergraduate. An MBA would be the ticket to higher up positions and salaries, if that is what you’re after.
Google Will Know I have a problem, I’m foreigner and now looking for undergraduate majors in US universities. In the future I want to open my own business in fashion, but I understand that I need a such platform like a second plan , if smth will be going wrong . I need to choose the major which can help me with making your own company , and also to a fundamental degree which is more universal you know and will be a way to good wage (plan b) . Of course after MBA
Business degrees are nowadays done by many people, and so the competition in finding a job on this fields are at a high rate, with enough experience from ones relevant fields of work you may easily get a job,a fresh graduate is therefore disadvantaged
To become a cfo requires also years and years of experience, not only a finance degree...and most of times the finance degree has to be msc, not a bachelor's
Abdullah Alali the bachelors in finance is great. You’ll more than likely need a masters in finance as well. While you’re in school take a majority of corporate finance, accounting, global market, and international trade classes. Most companies deal on an international level so that’ll be a positive for you
Hello! We've recently added a video about Careers in Computer Science that you may find helpful. You can view it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-knApbMnbbpc.html
I majored in criminal justice got my bachelors and masters and make 57,000 a year and also the national guard make 6,200 a year not to bad for living in Florida and only being 28 but I wish I picked a better job.
computer and information system manager means It manager right but may I know what is the highest paying job between these two project manager or It manager
as with any job it is your job to excel. however these statistics are greatly inflated. Point being that when you do more poorly its not your fault. You are being lied to you see the median is just the midpoint between the extremes. The mode is much more common and I've never seen an Job statistics show that. Usually because its lower and when you take out your student loans at a college they want you to think you got this when they know deep down you don't.
These wage and job outlook numbers were sourced from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, (U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2017-18 Edition, BLS.gov/OOH) and represent the 2017 median pay for these occupations nationally. Earning your degree does not guarantee that you will get a job in these fields or earn these amounts.
Is this an actual representation of the salaries?! In the Uk(yeah, I know we got benefits like NHS) the salary is not that high despite being in the same occupation.
I think it varies from place to place. For example, I love in the US and I've been looking at the job market on sites and where I love the majority of these salaries are higher. So it just depends
Exchange Currency matters. UK has the most expensivest currency. So, 40,000 canadian dollars is worth like 23,000 pounds. The money might look low in the UK compared to the US/Canada, but in reality they have the same value
These salary estimate are all taken from data provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, regarding jobs in the U.S. You can find a wealth of information about salaries that apply to a variety of locations by visiting their website at BLS.gov
I enjoyed a pretty decent career in Transportation/Traffic Management with my business degree. “Nothing happens until something moves” is the slogan of the U.S. Army Transportation Corps. Same concept applies in private enterprise, although it is an often overlooked profession- like right here.
@@shanidgolam I majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. The Marketing curriculum included Physical Distribution, which is where I ended up. Yep, right out of college. Best of luck to you.

I am in my last year of school and want to study business when I leave, I just don’t know what path to follow. Apparently finance is meant to be very good and high pay. What exactly do you do in finance for someone who’s weakest subject would be math would I be able for this?
Most companies would want a bachelor's degree at a minimum. But you can still get an associate's. Just make sure to at least transfer to your university and obtain a bachelor's. Also, you would want to gain experience through internships or at a startup company. This will help you get your foot into the door for corporate business work.
Airman patrol. Outstanding comment. This help me a lot and I hopefully I understand step by step to improve myself. Thank you airman patrol. I appreciate your help.

sir/madam, (any experienced person can answer) I am in my final year of computer science engineering in India.I am planning to go for an MIM course abroad, but I am skeptical about the job opportunities because people say that jobs in management are tough to get for an Indian in a foreign country. Is this true? Awaiting for your reply…… Thank you
Good for you. There are many benefits to a college degree. One that is often overlooked is how the learning experience can help us enrich our lives by introducing us to new ways of thinking and new schools of thought.
College is a really great way to not only build your professional skills/background but also your social skills. It's very expensive but honestly, I'd say it is quite worth the cost considering the benefits involved.
It depends on the field you want to go into. Strategy consulting, investment banking, and private equity are notorious for caring a lot more about school. If you are really passionate about one of the more competitive fields you can definitely make it work! I go to Ohio State which is normally considered non target or semi target and we have several students going to elite firms you just have to be willing to put in the work.
More generally school matters more for getting an interview so you can make up for that by networking harder to get in. Once you’re in the door, they want the people who are going to be the best fit and perform at the highest level not the people with the most expensive piece of paper.
U dont graduate in "business administration" u must have a specialisation.. for example u have a business administration degree and ur spe is accounting, economics, IT etc

Cheers for this, I have been researching "real estate education school" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Yiyrianna Tonwen Theorem - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got cool results with it.
@Charizard Rules Don't wait on it. The longer you wait the harder it's going to be. if you're in the high school start selling t-shirts, with cool designs or make custom t-shirts. Or sell candy or resale prom tickets to juniors. But don't wait on it bro. The longer you wait the less likely it is to happen
@Charizard Rules I agree with you. It's wise to play the waiting game and hold onto your cards. By doing so you are minimizing risk and increasing your chances of success. Your goal should be to start your business at a time and place that is advantageous and not ordinarily achievable. I'm going into the entertainment industry, but I want to finish some creative projects myself and get some legitimate business experience before starting a company. It's just a safer means of approach. Plus, it allows you to build connections which is extremely important in the business field.
