I have such a soft spot for Mon Guerlain Intense. (And I normally don’t even really enjoy the smell of lavender!) It truly took my breath away upon first sniff, and I love how it’s sensual and sexy while also remaining elegant and soothing.
Great video. I love vanilla! That’s why I thought I’d be in love with Kayali Vanilla, but it made me so sick 😢. And am I the only one who thinks it smells powdery and not very much like vanilla?
I love orchid vanille and Bois Dore from van Cleef and Arpel, also I have kayali vanilla 28 and Spirituse double vanilla from your recommendation, love them too, I think Ani from Nishani is another great one and Elizabeth and James Bourbon ❤️ so so good, lovely picks Ilythia 🥰

My go to Vanilla fragrances are Kayali Vanilla 28 and MFK Gentle fluidity Gold all year round.. sometimes Dior Addict for the colder months. I'm curious about the M.Micallef Note Vanille.

I too have heard the same about Kayali vanilla28 nit having good performance. It’s actually what kept me from buying it for a few years, but I finally decided to try it myself. On me, it lasts for a long time and it’s anything but a weak fragrance. It makes me wish I tried it out a lot sooner. It’s such a nice perfume.
Personally spiritual double vanille is a little bit masculine. Not that I don't like it. In fact I'm trying to get a full bottle of it. But when it comes to vanilla perfumes, my absolute favorite would definitely be angelique noire. Hope to try the one from CL soon.
LOL, I clicked on the Sephora link you listed for the Kayali perfume and of course it's all out of stock. I personally don't like it at all, but I love the presentation and I'm so happy the owner's perfume line is taking off. (-:
Love to try micallef! Need to check that one out.Loubirouge to me smell like armpit 😅. Not just me, but my friend too. Tried on our skin however seems it doesn’t work for both of us . I don’t think its a safe blind buy. My fav would be loubidoo and loubikiss

Love the video and the suggestions. I've smelt most and agree 💯!!!!! Also, would like to add the awesomeness of... Tom Ford Metallic (light addictive easy reach), Nishane Ani (winter only), and Orchidee Vannile (orange vanilla heaven).
This is a perfect exemple of YMMV. I have Mon Guerlain and MG Intense and don't like either. I also got a sample of Double Vanille and wasn't thrilled. I'm very glad to cross that off my list for no more than the share of the advent calendar that it represents. Angel's Share, on the other hand, is one that I absolutely love. I will try the Armani and the Loubirouge in a decant.
hey correct me if i am wrong but i think that you said you work in a hospital. Do you ever wear scent to work? I work in a Nursing home around dimentia amyways I have worn the Signature Chloe to work my friend also wears that all the time she works there too. I just purchased Dalina from De Marly and love it will also wear that to work. If you wear scent what do you wear im curious?
I am a nurse yes and we are not permitted to wear perfume to work. Very rarely will I go there with one on, usually it’s by accident from trying one on earlier in the day. I have occasionally worn a soft one there. Clean skin from clean reserve is great.:)
That is completely understandable it can make people unhappy or they could be allergic or sensitive. I am a gastvrouw in dutch it translates to hostess. I work in a nursing home with people who have dimentia alll different types. i make there meals and give them attention i am making them coffee and helping them cleaning up i also help the nurses if they need me. I have worn Chloe EDP and they even liked it i would have think vanillas and spicy ones would never be good. me myself am very picky with spicy perfumes I dont want to smell like an incense marihuana shop lol and Tom Ford cherry was a bit like this to me. When i work front line so 2 months ago when there was Corona there and I had to wear a full body suit i would never wear perfume i even stopped with makeup then so maybe front line nurses no perfume i understand but its interesting to me
Gahhh I decluttered note vanille to make room for side effect (couldn’t afford to have them both) but I miss it so much already! I had an issue with longevity which is what allowed me to pull trigger, but definitely a slight regret 😔
Loubirouge has been at the top of my list since it came out, I’m a bit of a cardamom collector. I can’t wait to finally get my hands in it. Have you seen the new range? I’m very interred in Loubiprince

Thanks for the video I like most of your recommendations here=] That's me who prefer MonGuerlain intense to MonGuerlain. It's just not enough vanilla in MonGuerlain for vanilla lovers lol And I've just started to collect vanilla fragrances. Nuit et confidences and Tihota are also very nice vanilla perfumes but my current fav is gentle fluidity gold.
Hi love! I found the original Mon Guerlain perfume to be a little lavender heavy...it came off a bit more masculine than I felt comfortable with. I loooove vanilla! Do you find that the intense is less lavender heavy and more vanilla predominant? Your description of it just sounds amazing and I'm tempted to pick it up but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed by the lavender again. 😬
Ilythia how long does your Xerjoff Lira last on you? I absolutely adore the scent but am hesitant on pulling the trigger because every time I sample it at the store it disappears in 30 mins to where I can barely smell it anymore 🥲
@@thesimplechiclife do you know how old your bottle is? I’ve heard that the newer formulations are a lot weaker than the older ones so idk if I should look for an older formulation bottle
