Hi Neetika, that's what this video is all about. Please watch it from start to end to get a full clarity on how to choose the right certification matching your background and work experience.
Hi Sir i have experience in Furniture business as I have my own ,but I want to make my career in to Project management as I am from non technical background
Hi Shweta, you can start with some entry level PM certifications and perform quality improvement, customer service improvement projects within your business.
Hello Ray,I’m finished my masters in Msc international business management in UK I’m looking for a junior project manager job what certification should I go for and from where should I do that certification I’m a fresher please help me
Hi. For CAPM course, it would be PMBOK 6th edition along with this course of Andrew Ramdayal on Udemy: click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=NhAafuSJkzM&mid=39197&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.udemy.com%2Fcourse%2Fcapm-certification-training-prep-course%2F
Hi. You need to study PMBOK-6 in full. Also, there is an ITTO playlist for CAPM exam on my channel please watch that to know the most important ITTOs for the exam.
Hi Sir, I have done PDGM in Finance and HR and have 12 years of experience currently working as operations lead. Will I be eligible to do PMP. Please advise.
Just having experience, is not enough, you need to have lead PM work-ex. Check this article to decide whether you are eligible or not: www.pmpwithray.com/pmp-certification-eligibility-requirements/
For beginner level project management certification in India...CAPM is the best. This should hold true for insurance sector as well if you plan to be in the project management domain of the sector.
@@PMPwithRay thanks for this and will this certification of CAPM also help in moving to other industries apart from insurance in project management roles .
Hi @PMPwithRay, Could you please tell us about PRINCE2 Agile certification. PRINCE2 or PRINCE2 Agile certification which is better for project management role in UK.
I'm from a Marketing background with 3years of exp, will CAPM help me get head in the same field, as in Marketing Management or Marketing Communication management ?
Hi PMPwith ray, Greetings! I have 12 yrs of experience in managing teams in a project. I have managed around 100 team members in each projects in BPO operations. So can I take prince2 or go directly for PMP. I have not managed the whole project but I have managed teams in a project. Please advise.
Hi. Since you have not managed a whole project, you will not be eligible for PMP. Managing teams as part of BPO operations doesn’t count as project experience. You can write the PRINCE2 Foundation exam first and then go for the PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam.
@@PMPwithRay thank you so much Ray. one more clarification needed....after completing Prince 2 practitioner exams can I apply for project manager positions in companies?
Hi sir, I'm Planning to shift my career into Project management. I'm applied for MBA Project Management in UK and got offer from a university. I'm an English Graduate student and kindly please give me your advice for how to strengthen my career towards PM.
Hi Gowri, if you are already doing an MBA...finish that first. Then you can look for PM jobs as part of your campus placements. If you are in the UK, consider doing PRINCE2 instead of PMP
Hi, I don't know if you will reply but I am in EdTech industry and working as a TL from past 9 months...I want to transition to PM...I think CAPM is good for me but can you tell me if this certi would be revelant on ground level in India and what is the realistic entry-level package?
Hi Pooja, I do reply to comments from my subscribers :) Yes, going by your situation, CAPM would make sense because you don't have lead PM work-ex yet. Your goal should be to get the certification first & apply for associate PM, assistant PM roles and then grow up to a lead PM role. You can check the resources mentioned in the description section of the video to know about resources for CAPM exam prep. Salary wise it varies a lot in India for T1, T2, T3 cities, but you can expect an entry level package between 4L-6L p.a. in a decent organization for entry-level PM roles.
Hi There, Thanks for the informative video. I have one question. I'm currently working as Tech Lead with 9+ yrs of experience and want to move to Managerial space. which certification would be helpful? I'm thinking to appear for CAPM
@@PMPwithRay Thanks for your reply Ray. Can I directly appear for PMP certification ? Is that too difficult to crack with let's say 3-4 Months of extensive prep?
You can do PMP straight away if you are eligible. Please check this and decide whether you meet the eligibility: www.pmpwithray.com/pmp-certification-eligibility-requirements/
Yes, it's definitely a good certification, but check within your Industry and network for relevancy of the certification with your career. Also, it should match your long term career interests.
@@PMPwithRay Right now, I'm in the beginning stages. I need to be apart of a strong network of professionals where I can grow and give back to others through mentoring.
Hello. I completed my masters degree in project management. I passed CAPM certification from with above target. I am applying for jobs but not getting anyone. Please help me
Hi Dilip, as I have mentioned in my video, just having certifications don't get you jobs. Certifications provide you the knowledge and increases the chances of your CV getting shortlisted for a position. Please check if you have the right fit between your experience and the roles you are applying for.

Please go through this in detail and I am sure you will be able to make that assessment yourself.
