Personally, I find UK’s software engineering salaries to be low considering living expenses, even when compared to India. Although, the entry level salaries are higher. The good thing is travelling Europe is cheaper! 👍

Yeah, I was mainly talking about product based companies. They pay good in India, since everything else is cheap, your saving is good. Say, 70lacs in India is almost equivalent to 130k in London in terms of savings and maintaining similar lifestyle.

@shilpa based on my calculation, if you stay in 1bhk in a decent area (not in Central London), you will be spending something in between 1.8-2.5k per month (all cost, including occasional eating out), you can use salary calculator to find your in-hand salary, and see how much you can save.

My daughter's air cargo will reach there by end of month, but one question I have to ask , if transporting cargo boxes from airport to home in London needs HMRC permission? A person on skilled visa is considered resident and can use all the benefits as citizen including schooling and healthcare. I think once customs clear should be fine but better check with the transportation agency

You get 2 years psw and on that 2 years u can find sponsorship. Depends what you study similar to Canada in Canada you duration of study will decide your work permit time it's also employer dependent

Infact indua's life is luxurious and common man oriented. Health care system is not very good Djctirs are not available for checking immediately and without appointment they are not available One has to wait minimum 7 days Communication is nit easier to common man in rural areas buses are not easily available I have experience on UK Difference is currency indian rupee is diminishing but IT sector us in profitable in India In Delhi metro network is very good and popular as compare to UK. Our problem is population.UK population is 6 crores and Delhi and Haritanas population is high India is a huge country and population is high Only dicipline society and good qualities are much more as compare to India.

Hi , first of all thankyou for your kind comments. It's very difficult with a baby to manage job so you will either need to put her in day care or get support from grandparents. We didn't want to send our Lil one in day care yet and our parents wanted to help so they are with us atm.

Doctors can earn £85000 per annum only after becoming a consultant or GP. Before that you will need to pass IELTS if coming from India, then MRCP part 1, 2 and Paces. After passing MRCP you will have to do 5 years as a specialist registrar in your discipline in a particular deanery and rotate amongst the hospitals in that deanery. Only after CCT can you become a consultant. Lambi process hai and lots of studying. You will also have to attend lots of expensive courses. GPs need to do MRCGP but that is an easier process than becoming a Cardiologist or Gastroenterologist!

Healthcare is free . That's beneficial for you guys . But as a medical student it's kinda disadvantage for us because the pay of NHS is quite low . I've heard that fy2 doctor's base pay is 33k pound and specialist doc's pay is around 100k pound . Is 33k pound enough for a family of two ??????

Yes, unfortunately pay is low in medical area. 33k pounds are not enough for a family of two if only single person is earning in london. But may be in other parts of UK which are not expensive.. it can be ok. Do research about the areas properly so that you can calculate the expenses and decide accordingly

And in UK one post graduate trainee is paid 30k GBP for 7-8 hour per day , 5 days per week . But by doing extra shift , he can earn upto 50 k per annum and it increases each year up to 100k GBP. So can you give me a rough Idea about the average pay of UK ? How much can I save from it ?

I am from india but i live in Coventry I've went to London unfortunately london people are not that nice and there are lot of roadmen and London has a serious knife problem

That's true there are some rough patches in London where it's not safe..and I have found people are nice as it's a multicultural city. But experiences may vary!

Healthcare is not free , TAX is flat 40% and NI is deducted from salary . NHS will not entertain if you have minor headache, fever or pain unlike doctors in India. They only handle critically ill cases. Dental is not covered , too much expensive in private. NHS waiting for critically ill is 12hours currently. In next 2-3 years, NHS will not be free . Doctors are on strike , In India if you have good insurance policy , it will be better.

The work life balance is there because men in uk contribute to house responsibility like child care and also because women work here they also help with house chores. Unlike india where women work or not men do not help except in rare circumstances, so women depend on maids and life carries on. Here if men will not help women will divorce and move on

Employees life ends in purchasing home on home lone, same as India. Nothing , better stay in India. 1 lakh salary monthly in India is sufficient royal life.

The only issue with free medical facilities is the delays in in. How easy it is to get doctors appointment in UK? In Germany it's pretty difficult to get an appointment if you are sick, so doesn't matter if it's free or not if you cannot avail it. I am considering to move to UK but the salaries are very low compared to Germany
