Someone once asked me what my favourite TV show was and I told them it was The Wonder Years. I was the same age at the same time in history so the music and events were a parallel of my life. Although I lived in South America and we did not have to protest it at the time, the episode where the kids walked out of school to protest the Vietnam War really resonated as we were starting to become aware of the fact that we did not understand the way in which the politicians were thinking and behaving but that it was going to have a great impact on our futures if we did not do something.

We are there because of what you did! Student protest no matter the era is on the right side of history

I hate living in a red state and knowing that my vote for president doesn't count. I also hate knowing that people in a few swing states are the ones who actually choose the president.

Pretty disappointing Democrats like Schumer and Biden and other party leaders are doing nothing about the obsolete electoral college or the Jim Crow filibuster. We need Democrats to start making our votes matter! We have been voting - they have not been taking action for too long. Enough excuses!

Get rid of the Electoral College, and the Democratic candidate will be able to win an election on the basis of carrying California by a landslide. Look at the '16 election. Clinton's plurality of votes in California was greater than her plurality of votes nationwide. That means that in the other 49 states, more people voted for Trump. Sorry....Democrat or Republican, I do not want my president chosen on the basis of carrying one particular state by a huge margin.

I think our younger generation is more in tune to politics than Republicans and MAGA realize 😊

Actually, that's what impressed me the most. Their dignified exit, seemed slow, inexorable, and quite, quite silent, yet their point couldn't have been made clearer. It was a sight to behold.

I agree. I think many underestimate gen z. They have been quietly paying attention since they were little and now it’s time to act. They fully understand the power social media has and how to use that to their advantage. I live in a fairly small town, less then 10k people, but it was the highschool students who organized a peaceful protest march. They handled every detail and a teacher just monitored them. They planned the route to march, where to have people park, hydration stations, shouted uplifting chants they thought of themselves and even got the mayor involved. Seeing the impact they made and the amount of people who came to support the cause and support THEM, it brought tears to my eyes. It gave me hope that our country will get better, especially if Gen Z has anything to do with it.
