I worked at a hobby shop. We repaired customer planes. I've been using this method for over 12 years. We had the steam cleaner for several purposes. The first thing we used it for was straightening and removing dents on lexan car bodies. I just thought everyone knew about it by now. Thanks for letting everyone know.👍👍

Man, I don't know about these air planes. I just ordered my first plane and it's the a10 that you're fixing. They are so cheaply made and so freaking expensive for a bunch of cheap FOAM. I have plans to learn how to fly on a simulator and then start with a cheap model until I master the flying before I fly the a10. I might return the thing now that I see that the break so easy. It just ain't worth the money. I'll still fly a cheapy but I don't think I'm gonna stay with the planes. I'll go back to my rc cars and trucks. Thanks for the video, it really helped me make my mind up. Thumbs up on your video buddy. 👍

Welcome. Planes can be unforgiving. Just remember we all started somewhere and knew nothing. Learn the right way and you will be ok. Many have been down that road and have successfully made it. Also somewhere is guy saddened because he just crashed a 15,ooo turbine jet.

Great tips! I've used most of them but I don't own a steamer. May have to get one. But looking at your A-10 reminded me exactly what happened to my E flite 64mm A-10. I bounced it landing and ripped up the gun and nose just like yours. I glued it and used flexible spackle and paint matched at home depot. Looks factory fresh. All great tips. Thanks!

I crashed the front end of the exact same A10 as you did. I need to know what glue do you use to fix this plane?? The front nose gear retract assembly ripped out completely from the foam fuselage. What kind of glue should I use to put the assembly back into the fuselage??
@JustPlaneCrazy
@JustPlaneCrazy 3 года назад
Foam tac all the way
@Cooldrums777
@Cooldrums777 3 года назад
Thanks for the reply. I never heard of it. I will order up a tube of it on Amazon now. You have to maintain a good bit of speed landing the A10. I broke the nose gear pin landing it on the maiden flight. Bought new PIN set and fixed it. Went out today for a second try and stalled close to the ground trying to landed it. I hit a clump of grass just short of the runway and tore the whole nose gear assembly right out of the fuselage. At least I didn't break any parts this time. Just ripped the crap out of the bottom / side of the fuselage. Fits back in place fairly well. But will need alot of that foam tac !!!!!
@JustPlaneCrazy
@JustPlaneCrazy 3 года назад
You can also use beacon foam glue from a craft store like hobby lobby. It’s a big bottle of the same stuff a bit cheaper. The a10 needs the cg moved aft from the most rear recommendation about 5mm. That requires the blue box to be relocated back a bit. With the cg there it gives you flare authority on landing. No more bouncing or nose smashing. It doesn’t need the gear upgrade. Also I use the landing nose 3D print block and 6mm carbon tubes on the inside nose channels. It’s like they were made for them. Since those mods I love this plane.
