Top Secret's 800hp 3SGTE-Swapped Supra, D1GP-Winning S15, and R33 GT-R

This 3sgte Supra, the RaceLogic/Blitz Supra with the BTG Nurburgring record plus Smokey Nagata coming to the U.K in his 200mph car are the things that cemented my love for both Top Secret and the Supra back in the day. Been a fan ever since. I had a DVD of the 3sgte, I think in Aus or New Zealand, going for a speed record that I must have watched 100 times 🤣 I had the S15 FM4 unicorn car, of course. Thanks for the closer look at these Larry.

I am thankful that we have people like this gentleman in our car culture community. He clearly has the means to keep these JDM legends on the road and letting the groms know the history. Thanks Larry for covering this 🙏

Top Secret was my absolute favorite company to follow in the late 90s/early 00s. They still blow my mind

Love the care that’s considered in not only preserving the history of these cars, but making it so that they’re still able to be used today. So many historic cars just sit without their performance being able to be put on display on modern times.

What a collection! The brakes on that R33 make me chuckle. Those guys driving 600WHP cars with those tiny brakes are crazy.

I used to have an obsession with the S15 and that particular Supra (over the crazy top speed one). For the Supra, I think I still have the SuperStreet magazine where it was the cover and had a carbon fiber hood at the time. If I recall correctly, I remember seeing the S15 crash during one of the D1GP events and the driver was crying hard afterwards. Such a gorgeous car! I remember being hyped that I was able to get 2 of the S15 in FM4! Edit: Talking about the value of some of these D1GP cars; I’ve always wanted to own one of the Team Orange Subarus or Mitsubishis. I don’t even like Subarus but I remember being so hyped about the car every time it showed up. I also like the OG Blitz R34 (from around 2004).

Besides the GT500 Castrol Supra, this Top Secret Supra with the 3sgte just like JGTC car is my absolute favourite halo car of all time! I was in high school when I first saw this car and I’m now 41 with 2 daughters and I’m still absolutely in love with this car… I am sooooo jealous right now, please 🙏 take good care of this car, it’s a piece of automotive history.

90's Japanese chassiss' 00's JDM performance parts demo cars / Tuner shop builds fuel my passion for modifying & my own builds to this day top secret is one of best examples of the many absolutely legendary builds/shops/parts to come out of Japan during a truly golden era from early 2000's till mid teens consider myself truly lucky to be alive during this time period of the greatest car culture style & innovation since the dawn of automobiles and was old enough and had the means to travel to Japan around 07 and witness some of the builds from the likes of top secret, HKS, trust/ greddy, blitz, cwest, signal auto, top fuel, jun, apexi, spoon, endless garage, yashio factory, veilside,& many others at events such as TAS that would forever define my taste & passion

So cool to see these cars still preserved in mostly original condition, Smokey is one of the most legendary JDM heroes, possibly even more than Keiichi Tsuchiya and the Hot version fellas, because this dude truly had balls of steel to do it on the street and actually get arrested in the UK on that famous motorway run.

i found a piece of paper in the glove box of my midnight purple r33 upon bringing it stateside that was written in japanese, ended up being the spec sheet and build reciept list. car came with a zip lock bag full of reciepts and service paperwirk from the day it left nissan. top secret assembled the 2.8l stroker, roll cage, did the turbos, intercooler, piping, basically all the mods back in 2008. it has top secret reciepts , reciepts from mines, hks and few other legendary jdm parts groups. i paid 48k dollars for it (blindly), got it home and discovered it was fully built, caged etc. best part is there is no rust. i have a few videos of it on my youtube shorts.

5:49 so true. I used to have a JAM racing EP82 Starlet Turbo race car. Owned it for like 10+ years (lots of track use) It had electrical issues and back then it made more sense to just strip it and sell it in parts. Got more back than I originally paid for it even after owning it that long. Not knowing it'd probably be worth a load in today's market

5:12 so true, my r33 was tuned by top secret as well and they locked the FUCK out of everyone else. You should be able to see the fuel map on the apexi pfc commander and subsequently copy it but they even locked that out of sight. Just goes to show how crazy the competition is in the tuning scene over there

I've still got all the vector files for the S15 graphics (vehicle graphics is my job), I put the exact graphics on my Gold 1JZ-GTE Soarer.Loved it. I also have an mint original Yokomo S15 Top Secrect RC Drift car.

The Supra was in my city in VA on a trailer otw to GA for a show. I got a bunch of pics of it and the guy driving the trailer even let me sit in it!!!

N oone these days seems to know or remember that the Castrol Supra ran a 3SGTE NOT a 2JZ. 3SGTE was Toyota's Motorsport Engine at the time so using it in this car made complete sense at the time

I hope we get to see the RB26 Supra someday…if it's still in one piece.

Oh man. My face when my friend & I were like 5 minutes away from LRP and I see the R33 & the S15 ripping those roads going the opposite way... then by the time we got parked and walked up to the gate they were being let back in. That was just surreal seeing these cars in person.

I absolute lost control when i saw the video, that S15 i absolutely love so much, the days back on forza 3 and 4, forza 3 was buyable and forza 4 it was a unicorn. And i'm so grateful it had them in each, the supra as a track built straight line monster and the s15 as my best drift car done up to be the wise square s15. You've brought back some memories, and i've forever grateful that the car is kept forever as amazing as it is.

Is any of this confirmable? I'd imagine they'd use the same paint on all the cars at least, which comes through very easily in this vid, just my observation
