I personally like Interesting NPCs. It may be not a follower mod, but it introduces several followers with interesting stories and backgrounds.

I like when Recorder taunts dragons in their own language. That's totally badass.

Would like to use Vilja but as a Swede, hearing that Swedish accent is galling and makes my ears bleed xD

OMG, I now immediately love Recorder because she is played by PotasticPanda. I know her from MXR Plays, she is the host's girlfriend and is a prominent part of the channel. So, yay, Recorder all the way!

I'd recommend Kaidan too, he's fun, especially if you want a romanceable follower

Someone REALLY needs to make an extra sassy male altmer follower, I've been starving for some diversity in these follower mods for years. At least we have Indigo...

I wish skyrim had more Elf and Beastfolk companions.

In my opinion, everyone except Inigo are very unimmersive, they look kind of unfitting in the Skyrim settings, they fit more in japanese-like rpg and stand out from the typical vanilla character design. There is also too much on their own lore, which is mostly interesting to those, who completed every other single vanilla and dlc storyline - which takes hundreds of hours of much more immersive and interesting gameplay. I'm not including Vilja because of poor quality audio, ruining great actor performance. Though, Recorder is ok, because she constantly brakes 4th wall to compensate her unimmersiveness. Inigo, on the other hand, sounds, like he was voiced by an actual living Khajit, is very reactive on everything you do and have, while not being annoying and adding more immersion to the original storylines.

I'm late, but Mirai is the absolute best imo. Her quest is surprisingly lore friendly and the voice actress is amazing. The only downside is... her age lol It's weird that you can romance a 17 yr old.

Man, the Xbox One community is really lagging behind in terms of custom-voiced followers. We've got Caesia, Sophia, Kaiden, Recorder, and M'Rissi, all of which are great, but we are hurting for variety.

A suggestion for the mod author for recorder relics of high rule is a massively awesome mod should make some dialog options so that recorder reacts when you find certain items such as the heroes clothes or the master sword maybe. Just the thought daddy awesome.

Is this lore friendly? Brhuce Hammar- "Well fuck you, we left lore-breaking in the dust the moment I started talking about trains and Morrowloot. You don't GET to talk about lore friendly." I just got this mod because that line was fucking funny.

Also as of December, there's a new droid follower based off BB8 called snippy on the nexus. It's really cool and acutely more friendly!

AMBRIEL WAS A CHARACTER IN OBLIVION! SHE HAD HER OWN QUEST IN THE MAGES GUILD!!! NOW I KNOW WHY SHE TALKED SHIT ALL DAY!

My favorite follower is M.H.A.R.P.H.I.N. I rarely see him make lists like this, which is a shame because a lot of work went into him (over 1000 lines and various sound effects) and he's hilarious.

Kick Skyrim Romance off the list. Bishop's constant condescending attitude, and at times outright rapey dialogue doesn't deserve to share a video that mentions actual great followers like Inigo or whatnot. Replace it with Kaiden, Khash the Argonian, Lucien Flavius, or Xelzaz. Any one of the these companions are 100 times better than Bishop ever will be.

Why do these followers always have a singing feature? xD I mean, it seems to be a necessity at this point. xD

Sadly, Murai didn't work out well at all for me. Save game bloats, quest's didn't update. It's a damn shame because she really can be a great follower.

It would great if someone did a custom follower that wasn't really for combat, but more of a bard? Type of follower for a home. Play instruments, tell tales, or even read (random) books that are placed into his/her inventory.

I suspected that Bishop came from Neverwinter Nights 2, then I saw him talking to a girl called Neeshka and I confirmed it.

Of all the voiced followers available in xbox one, the only one I know of that actually comments on the dragonborn and dawnguard dlc is Auri. She doesn’t say too much about it but still is something.

Bishop is totally Alister from Dragon Age Origins. Hell, even his dog has the Mabari bark.

I would trade all of these time-travelling, half-angel half-demon, long-lost-queen, fourth-wall-breaking, "funny" [eyeroll], jokey dummies for one lore-friendly normal companion who had an actual personality and meaningful things to say about our travels.

Jeez, I don't know who I want to use now. Started a new game last night and this time I'm really using new mods all around. Sofia remained in my load order, but she can get a bit annoying at times. I'm leaning toward Mirai and Acalypha.

Now if only someone would port these to special edition. Well the ones that are able to be ported

Inigo - gorgeous voice acting/quality, story and look Vilja - low-quality voice acting, but has a lot of scripts to spend few hours with Rest of them NON-lore-friendly, you are forewarned.

I'd just like to say the weapons in the Brhuce follower mod are modeled after the night hawk weapons in vindictus.

Whenever I hear Recorder, I can't help seeing MxR in my head. Also, when Ambriel and Recorder talk to each other, it's basically just PotasticPanda being a schizo and talking to herself

The only one that doesn't look like a freaking Barbie doll is Inigo.

Sofia is the only one who never attacks player in case of friendly-fire.

For those interested, the mod added dialog web that was brought up for Inigo and Vilja doesn't just include those two. Lucian, a Scholar from the Imperial City, can be found at the Dead Man's Drink in Fallkreath, and the opening quest to recruit him actually has him hiring the player as a bodyguard and will grow and develop his combat style as you fight with him in your party. I also remember Lucien whispering in my character's ear about how uneasy he is because Inigo got curious and sniffed him. There's also Kaidan, a heavy armor/two-handed weapon specialist. The opening quest to get him is rescuing him and recovering his gear from a squad of Thalmor solders in the abandoned prison near the road between Whiterun and Riften. His starting armor is a set of blades armor minus the helmet and his starting sword is a custom blades nodatchi with custom dragon runes on the blade, near the guard. Like Lucien, he's part of the mod added follower dialog web, and he introduced himself not Lucien in the Avery the Relic Hunter Roleplay, not long after both were recruited. Bishop seems like a really well made mod, but I'm afraid of being turned gay by him.

the trouble with having two Follower is that they tended to fight each other or worse when you are fighting vampire in whiterun and one of you followers start attacking the whiterun guards, you are unable to do anything about it, any idea's how to stop that happening.

I can never get used to using Recorder or Ambriel after how many Henry/MxR and Jeanie/PotasticPanda videos I've watched. I just hear Jeanie the whole time and I can't hear it as its own character. It's jarring, a shame too because both followers have fun and interesting concepts behind them.

Mirai was awful. That quest comes off as creepy. The dragons don't have genders. The father was creepy. The clothing options and dialogue was creepy. The clothing clips through armor when she equips it. She looks like a 14 year old. I will never forget seeing her spawn in cuffed in her underwear. Which was custom made, and makes me question why the mod maker went through THAT effort. Just ew.
