Understanding pickleball court angles and how to cover them is a critical skill that all pickleball players can benefit from.
In this video we discuss the three angles in a pickleball point, rank the angles, and go over the optimal angle coverage in specific situations. This is part of learning how to play percentage pickleball.

Excellent point again... I would add, watch where your partner's shot direction first (while covering angles), eg. If your partner hits a sharp cross dink across, you move to that direction of ball ( travel) immediately to cover all return angles. If it's a good cross lob diagonally ( best and furthest shot), you both have time for 'resetting defense's at nvz.

How do we prevent or limit our opponents who are at the NVZ line from hitting wide angle shots that we cannot get to? It seems that the pros are hitting directly at the opponent across from them and trying to jam them. I am afraid that if I hit to the middle one of my oppenents can extend his/her arm and hit a winning forehand.

Hello Randall. That is a complicated question. Angles usually beget angles so keeping balls toward the middle may avoid sharp angles. But attackable balls in the middle are more dangerous. The jam shot, if I’m following correctly is a different shot altogether. It’s an offensive weapon.

Hello Normand. Angle coverage remains the same regardless of left or right handed.

Really good tip and video Jordan...love your stuff! Question...I notice a lot of righthanders will stand at the NVZ with forehand open so that I wouldn't be utilizing this tip with them. I am assuming that rather than a body shot...you would have us hit down to the backhand side in this situation? I've got a note in to Santa for some PTP gear! Happy Holidays to you both.

Thanks Tony. I agree the middle is easier to hit for a winner than down the right side. Sometimes when either I or my partner are having a good volley we just have to poach. Lol
