3 Things you don't have: 1) lane departure warning, 2) Collision avoidance warning, and my favorite 3) adaptive cruise control. All on my 2013 Titanium. You have to opt for the Platinum trim to get them now.
What is both of your opinion's on both cars for UberEats delivering? I just started with UberEats and love delivering. Will be needing a new car soon and I am a big fan of HYBRID'S. Since I can charge here at work for free, I am looking into a gas/electric car. Appreciate all opinion's and advice. Thanks and happy Holiday to everyone!
Electric may be best since you don't put as many miles on your car for delivery - I would look into the Plug-in hybrid version of the Ford Fusion :) Would suit your needs perfectly it sounds like.
The Ford Fusion seems nice, but as I have shared before, not comfortable for guys like me, 6.3 and 230 to drive. Help me out and recommend a vehicle that qualifies for Uber Lux/Select, Uber XL, and UberX, and gets really good gas mileage. Thanks.
The Lincoln MKZ is the 'luxury' model built off the same base as the Fusion Hybrid and qualifies for Select. But I suspect you'd have the same comfort problems. I'm 6'3" and 200 and have no problems though in the Fusion Hybrid - very comfy :)
Wow...you look slimmer than 200 pounds! LOL Anyway, I checked out the Lincoln MKZ at Off Lease Only, which is a dealer based in FL, that purchases lease returns at auction, and resells them. I purchased a Ford Five Hundred Limited from them back in 2007, which is still running strong. Very reputable people, and great prices. Anyway...I found some great deals on the MKZ hybrid model, which gets around 40 MPG! www.offleaseonly.com/used-cars/type_used/make_lincoln/model_mkz/trim_hybrid_fwd/sortby_price_asc/location_miami/location_orlando/location_palm-beach/location_north-lauderdale/ So the MKZ would be great to drive Uber Lux/Select, Uber X, or god forbid, Uber Pool. My ideal vehicle would get the same, or similar gas mileage as the MKZ hybrid, and also qualify to drive Uber XL. I figure, why not cover all the bases, and have an economical vehicle to drive too? Toyota has the seven or eight passenger Highlander Hybrid, which would qualify under XL, but probably not Lux/Select. I think that the Chrysler Pacifica might work as well, but not sure, however the prices are ungodly when purchased new! Any thoughts on a vehicle that would qualify for every category, and not kill you on fuel costs like the Suburbans, and Escalades? Your suggestions and time are appreciated! Thanks!
I looked at the hybrid before buying my 2 liter inline four Titanium. The trunk was too small for my wife's folding wheelchair without removing the wheels. No go for me.
You have to be doing another job or working 16 hrs a day it seems to afford a car if working full time in rideshare. I have yet to see these 4 digit weekly pay screens people have posted in Facebook rideshare groups in Los Angeles.
So I've never driven a Prius but ridden around in dozens and I've found the ones with higher MPG a bit small and personally don't like the exterior look nearly as much. The Fusion Hybrid doesn't get you Select but honestly it should - it's pretty nice and many pax remark on this.
I'm not sure if something is wrong with his Fusion or what, but on my Fusion Hybrid you don't even feel the engine kick on when you're driving, quiet unless floored and just sounds like any other 4CYL when it idles.
