These are amazing! I teach special education and my kids are struggling with boring tasks on paper - I needed new technology to keep them engaged with little reading - these are amazing!
We are a team of Primary Education students at the University of Murcia (Spain). For our course 'Resources and ICT' we used your video as a recommendation of useful, safe, and appropriate tools for using with our future students. We really liked the possibilities of Nearpod, which we didn't know. Thank you, it was so interesting. Best regards, Puzzle Team
I’m so grateful for your work. Your videos are always inspiring and presented in a way that is manageable. I’ve already shared this with three colleagues! 😍
Thank you for posting an updated version of Ed Tech Tools. There's so many different tools and ways you can involve technology in classrooms. I definitely took note of all of these educational technology tools and plan to incorporate some of them in my classroom!
This is fantastic! As a future teacher, this will greatly assist me in better understanding modern learners and planning teaching strategies that take advantage of modern technologies.
These are exciting tech tools! In our faculty, we use the Connecteam app for communication and collaboration. It feels nice to have a reliable and useful app.
Thanks Sam! This is an awesome list of tools. I was looking for something to keep adult virtual learners engaged . You just provided several options to explore. Thanks a lot!!! 👏👏👏
Hi Sam, whiteboard chat seems fun and incredibly interactive. I like it can be incorporated in many content areas! The free price is also very appealing, thanks for the info!
That's a hell lot of new things! I need to repeat several times to learn all :D Thank you so much Sam for integrating all of these in a single video... Keep it up!
I’m glad to have found your videos! They are going to be very helpful! 🥰. I also accessed to your Free Technology Starter Kit 21st Century Classroom! I want to learn more!😄❤️
Cool tech tools for teachers.Thank you. What about Math Week, maybe you know same interesting sites or ideas to encourage students? Greetings from Ukraine! )
Nearpod was the game changer for my kids! Thanks for the whiteboard tip. I noticed it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge it's been so useful and a time saver. Keep it coming.
Your channel has been a lifesaver for me and my colleagues. My district is starting concurrent learning very soon and we can no longer use google meet or bbcu with students who are in the classroom, so no more chat box feature. What would you recommend as a replacement? Is there some kind of google ext. I could use?
Thanks so much: I'm glad I could be of help! It depends on what you're trying to do. Do you want a whole-class open chat like Meet, or do you want to be able to send students individual messages while they work? Honestly Hapara is one of your best options, but you have to have a school-wide account.
@@NewEdTechClassroom This is very helpful. I was looking for both whole class and private. Because we're teaching concurrently, the students who are physically in the classroom can no longer use Meet or bbcu, only the students at home. I'll talk to my admin. Thanks a bunch!
I am a school Counselor and I'm wondering, if there are some specific tech tools you would recommend for my department? I follow you and use the classroom tools when we present guidance lessons. But like making appointments, data collection, virtual small therapy groups. Thank you
If you're a G-Suite school your best bet is to use the internal appointment scheduler in Google Calendar: support.google.com/calendar/answer/190998?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en As far a virtual small groups go, assuming you want to do that via video conferencing, Zoom and Meet would still be my main recommendation. As far as data collection goes, you might want to do it via a Google Forms survey. Here's a video about how to do that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j99U-PUnqLE.html&t Hope that helps!
Thank you!! Please some advice, if you are kind. What could I use as a platform for digital portfolios, instead of Padlet? Students loved the interactivity - especially leaving comments and reactions. Could you please recommend something, thank you very much!
Try Wakelet, Seesaw, or Google Sites! I have a few videos specifically about digital portfolios: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IG_6UeemqeI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O81_3WzxQbE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gN1BWKy2Up0.html
Hi, Amy. Here's some info on Flipgrid's site about embedding activities into any LMS: help.flipgrid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013196414-Embed-Flipgrid-in-an-LMS-or-Website
sam. What tools do you recommend specifically for adult learners? We work in a corporate environment and looking for ways to make learning succinct, interactive, micro- and interactive.
It really depends what you're trying to accomplish, but if it's something like making presentations interactive, you might want to check out a program like Slido. But I also strongly believe that most programs that are packaged as "k-12 apps" work just as well for adult learners. In Nearpod or Edpuzzle, for example, you can make any video interactive, which is really an upgraded learning experience for all learners, regardless of age.
