I totally agree with you on this but also the different kinds of songs in the genre as well. I mean Roger Miller “Dang Me” or “Chug a lug” would be great for comedy
This list is 100% accurate to the history of Country Music. “Neon Moon” by Brooks and Dunn should be on here, but overall these are the GOATs. You should react to “El Paso” by Marty Robbins.
This is a decent list for “old school” country. Dolly should’ve been on this list but most everyone in this video is considered country royalty so I suppose it’s a fair list. Off the cuff, my top 10 old school country would be (I’m sure if I really think about it, the list would different) in no particular order: Lonesome fugitive - Merle Haggard I will always love you - Dolly Parton All the gold in California - Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Bros (amazing harmonies on this one) Long black veil - Johnny Cash Help me make it through the night - Sammy Smith Kaw-Liga - Charlie Pride Good hearted woman - Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson Tulsa Time - Don Williams I’m not Lisa - Jessi Colter Rose colored glasses - John Conlee
I think the best one for you to do AB is “If you’re thinking you want a stranger” it’s one of his older hits but my favorite in the way that he sings it. I know you’d love it with the little vocal runs.
1. Garth Brooks - More Than A Memory 2. George Jones - Rocking Chair 3. The Judds - Grandpa 4. George Strait - Carrying Your Love 5. Rascal Flats - God Bless The Broken Road 5. Jelly Roll - Son Of A Sinner 6. Jason Aldean - Amarillo Sky 7. Blake Shelton- Sangria 8.Sugarland - Stay 9. Faith Hill - Wild One 10. Clay Walker - This Woman And This Man
@@jasongilbert2379 but he has been invited to perform at the country music mecca aka The Grand Old Opry. Someone must think he deserves some recognition as a country artist.

She Got the Gold Mine (I Got the Shaft) - Jerry Reed 10. Suds in the Bucket - Sara Evans
It’s so hard to realistically do any kind of top 10 list for any genre of music when you are taking decades and decades of songs. All of these artists and songs are well respected and highly thought of that you can’t really argue with it. I’m not particularly a big Hank Williams fan, but I completely recognize what he represented to country music in his time so whether it’s a personal favorite of mine or not I wouldn’t think of denying him a spot.
As the child who grew up in a house devoted to Country & Western music, I will say this list is old country (exception: Garth Brooks) which laid the foundation for what has now become contemporary country. I don't necessarily agree with those particular songs being the Top 10 of all time, but they are classics and I'm richer for having gotten to know the roots of country. The Judds (a little newer than those played) is another great duo and true country sound -- you should check them out. George Strait could make any list of mine as would Alan Jackson, some Toby Keith, The Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, and a host of others....keep digging into country -- you'll find some real gems. And of course, keep doing what you're doing -- your fan base loves you!
A Boy Named Sue, Johnny Cash I Fall To Pieces, Patsy Cline Uneasy Rider, Charley Daniels He Stopped Loving Her Today, Jones Ode To Billy Joe, Bobby Gentry Amarillo by Morning, George Jones Wagon Wheel, Old Crow Country Show, Blue, Leanne Rhymes Hey, Good Lookin', Hank Wms, Sr, sheesh, so many!
George Strait is the most influential country artist in the past 40 years and has 60 #1 singles more than any other artist in any genre of music in history, He’s the Elvis Presley of country music 👍
Ok, my 'top ten' is just the first 10 great songs that came to my head, in no particular order. There were so many that I thought of that this was done in like 2 minutes lol. 1. George Strait. Garth. Hank Williams jr. Reba. Barbara Mandrell. Toby Keith. The Judds. Dixie Chicks. Alabama. Vince Gill. I can go on. I grew up on country in the 80s/90s……then found the dial on the radio and listened everything.
Hardcore Country guy here, you could make a argument for this list for sure, but there are so many bangers you could substitute 10 different ones and still be in the ballpark
Okay so my top 10 are honestly a wide range. 1. “Before the next year drop falls” by Freddy Fender 2. “The Battle of New Orleans” by Johnny Horton (My favorite line is about the alligator they use for a cannon) 3. “Look at us” by Vince Gill (My parents’ song, it’s beautiful and since we lost Dad I bawl whenever I hear it cuz he used to sing it to my Momma) 4. “Fist City” by Loretta Lynn (A song about whopping some ratchet @$$) 5. “Creepin’” by Eric Church 6. “Fancy” by Reba MacEntire 7. “I saw the light” by Hank Williams (Written while he was laid out trashed in backseat while his mom drove him to his gigs) 8. “Big Iron” by Marty Robins (also his song El Paso is good) 9. “Daddy’s Hands” by The Judds (Beautiful song and also a lot like my Dad was) 10. “Amos Moses” by Jerry Reed (He played the coach for the big team in the Waterboy)
Great list Nikki! Big fan of Johnny Horton. I prefer "Mr. Shorty" by Marty Robbins but "Big Iron" is classic. And I know very few people that ever heard "Amos Moses". (I had the 45)
@@kenhayhurst374 I grew up mostly down here in southeast Texas around the Gulf coast/Houston area so all country is everywhere! Also a friend of my parents sounds just like Jerry Reed lol. Other favorite is “When you’re hot”
The #2 song by George Jones, He Stopped Loving Her Today, is generally considered the greatest country song by true country aficionados. It is about a man that only stopped loving his lost love when he died.
Jonny Cash - Cotton Fields Dwight Yoakam - Guitars Cadillacs Dwight Yoakam - Honky Tonk Man Hank Williams - everything he ever did Garth Brooks - Two of a Kind Working on a Full House Garth Brooks - Friends in Low Places Chris Stapleton - Tennessee Whiskey Keith Urban -Blue Ain't Your Color
I love country music from 1923 to present and the Mojo list is a good list. If we expanded it to top twenty I would add Country Music women from Mama Maybelle Carter, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker, Connie Smith, Barbara Mandrell, Reba McEntire, Crystal Gayle, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, The Judds

I've played all these songs for over 45 years in nightclubs, bars and honky tonks. This is probably one of the most accurate lists I've seen on the Internet. All 10 are still requested anywhere country bands play.

This is before country went pop. I still like current country, but in a list of all-time top 10 these are spot on. I can’t believe you are only at 50k subs, you deserve more.
New subscriber here! I couldn’t possibly give a top ten since I’m a huge music fan in general (especially country), but I can suggest a few newer and older country songs you should at least listen to even if you don’t post a video… Rockin Years- Dolly Parton and Ricky Van Shelton Always Be My Baby- Sara Evans Making Me Look Good Again- Drake White Two Sparrows In a Hurricane- Tanya Tucker Here to the Moon and Back- Dolly Parton ft. Kris Kristofferson (think I spelled that right lol)
Have you reacted to all of Marty Robbins "Els Paso"? Also in an interview, Johnny said one night in his sleep the song Ring of Fire was playing in his head and the horns came from that dream.

I've been listening to country music for over 60 years. This selection doesn't match mine, but we all have our favorites and would put our choices in a different order.
This girl could make you an epic list to react to with music all over the place! I listen to almost every genre! Country, Rap, Classical, rock, metal, Irish, J-pop, k-pop, just to name a few lol.
I think these online top 10's really are based on how one is raised and their own favorites. I'm seeing Waylon on here with honorable mentions, and I just keep thinking, "a mention?" Nah. He's in my top ten. But I was raised on the Outlaws. They are going to make my top ten every time. And how did Marty Robbins only take an honorable mention? Marty Robbins, for heaven sake. I was glad to see Merle made the list. "Mama Tried" is one of my all time favorite songs and who isn't singing "If We Make it Through December," every Christmas? Sometimes that song really hits home. Great list. As for my Top Country album? "Red Headed Stranger" hands down. I strongly suggest a listen. So make sure, if you haven't heard it, to set aside 105 minutes to just listen to that gem from beginning to end. I'm not even that big a Willie fan when it comes to my favorites among the Outlaws. But that album takes it all. Country songs have a tendency to tell a story, but "The Red Headed Stranger" tells a tale.
I grew up with my grandfather’s country band from my memory Rhinestone Cowboy/ Glenn Campbell Take me home country Roads by John Denver Toby Keith red White and blue Patsy Cline crazy Dolly Parton Jolene Devil went down to Georgia Sweet home Alabama Lynyrd Skynyrd I know somebody argue with this but I stand behind it Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin Loretta Lynn coal miners daughter. I don’t know if he’s in the top 10 but there’s songs that I really liked I guess and I grew up with
Charlie Daniels Band -Legend of Wooly Swamp John Anderson - Seminole Wind George Strait - Amarillo By Morning Merle Haggard - Mama Tried Loretta Lynn - Fist City Patsy Cline - Walkin After Midnight Hank Williams Jr - A Country Boy Can Survive Waylon Jennings - Waltz Me To Heaven Willie Nelson - Help Me Make it Through The Night

I like the song "Wabash Cannonball." The original is sung by Roy Acuff, but I like Boxcar Willie's version. I have fond memories of my grandpa dancing and singing that song to us. He would sing it just as Boxcar Willie did! The song means so much more to me now that I understand the history. I found that my grandfather actually WAS a "hobo" during the Great Depression. That is how he met grandma! "Wabash Cannonball" is a tribute to the old rail lines and the men who rode those rails!
Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Sr, Patsy Cline, are my favorite Country Singers but I also love k.d. lang, The (Dixie) Chicks; Garth Brooks, Dwight Yoakam, Trio (Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Rosntadt), Reba McEntire
So difficult to choose only ten! What was in the video was good, but here's a few more. In no particular order: Dwight Yoakum - Little Sister, watch the Live from Austin video. Eddie Rabbit - I Love a Rainy Night, Drivin' My Life Away Alan Jackson - Chattahoochee Roger Miller - King of the Road Linda Ronstadt - Blue Bayou Judds - Have Mercy Patsy Cline - Crazy Ronnie Milsap - Stranger in My House Charlie Pride - Kaw Liga George Strait - The Chair Tim McGraw - Indian Outlaw
You should definitely check out the podcast Cocaine & Rhinestones. It's hosted by David Allan Coe's son, and it's all about the back stories behind songs and artists of 20th century country music. Some really great stories, and it'll turn you onto even more artists and songs. Also, Angel Flying too Close to the Ground by Willie Nelson is a great song to check out
This list is the more or less the Goats of Country Music. These are the legends .. the trailblazers that are many icons to Country stars and fans today. I mean we can't forget Conway or Loretta or Dolly or Waylon. but you definitely need to look up songs by each of these artists and react to them. You won't truly understand the foundation of Country Music til you do.
Elvis does a great job on 'You were always on my mind.' Tammy Wynette was married to George Jones (Nickname the Possum). You are also right about who you might put on your top 10, might not even make my top 10. LOL And you should also check out the last song Johnny released before he passed away, called 'Hurt'. It is powerful stuff. Johnny was a wild one when he was young.
I know these songs but not my top 10. So hard to choose between new and old. Witchita Lineman by Glen Campbell, Pancho and Lefty, Meet me in Montana, Burning it Down, Sangria, Blown Away, Hope you get Lonely Tonight, Devil Went Down to Georgia, Wildfire
I always preferred the Western part of Country & Western music, so I recommend Marty Robbins, though he could sing anything and had many non-country songs.
I think a list of top 10 country songs of all time is very hard to make. I have been listening to country music for 45 years. My roots are in country music. I will try to make out a list for you. 1.El Paso by Marty Robbins 2. Family Tradition by Hank Williams Jr 3. Crazy by Patsy Cline 4. He Stopped loving her today by George Jones 5. I know it is long, but I kept remembering songs, and artist that shouldn't be left out. These aren't necessarily in order. Love your reactions by the way. Peace bro.
This is a great list! I haven’t heard many of them in awhile so I’ve gone down the rabbit hole listening. I love Josh Turner. The song “Your Man” was written by Chris Stapleton and a couple other writers. I also like Josh’s song Long Black Train. Live Like You Were Dyin’ by Tim McGraw was out the year my husband died of cancer. It will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for the reminder of these songs 🙂
My top 10 no order Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson 9 to 5 by dolly Parton Thunder rolls by garth brooks No one needs to know by Shania twain Maybe it was Memphis by Pam tillis She's in love with the boy by Trisha yearwood Strawberry wine by Deanna Carter Maybe it was Memphis by Pam tillis Wide open spaces by the chicks Is there life out there by Reba McEntire I'm a 90s country girl. Hope you like them!!
You should do a react to Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn's best friend, and Jamie Johnson's "Be your man" since you like low voices. I've spent an entire day watching your reactions. Also like to say George Jones is my favorite male artist and Dolly Parton is my favorite female artist, and I'm no old lady just love old country.
Don Williams, Alabama, Merle haggard, Johnny Cash, John Moreland , Chris Stapleton, brooks and Dunn, Keith Whitley, Alan Jackson, lonester, and personally my opinion of the best country song is strawberry wine by Deana carter
It’s hard to pick a top ten but you definitely can’t have a top ten without Johnny Cash! I agree Homefrees version of ring of fire was awesome. You should definitely do I Walk the Line by Johnny and Jackson by Johnny and June. Now that you’ve seen this I think you have to list to the whole version of George Jones he stopped loving her! You need to understand why he stopped loving her! Jolene by Dolly Parton. If you are going old school country you need to include the greats like Johnny Cash, Loreatta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jenning, Willie Nelson and the list goes on. Do Keith Whitley Don’t Close Your Eyes and When you say nothing at all. If you are going with todays country you have to include anything by Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Carrie underwood, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith (American Soldier), Miranda Lambert, Morgan wallen, Kane brown and of course Dylan Scott!
