Dinosaurs are a hoax created by the Royal society. Coincidently one of them members found what looked like a tooth... All by itself in the 1800s... And miraculously they were able to reconstruct an entire monster from one tooth without any other body parts to determine its shape. Do not fall for this adult lie next to Santa Claus

I don’t think fossils were first studied two centuries ago... fossils have been known since ancient times and many cultures have known about the remains of dinosaurs though they didn’t understand they belonged to extinct species. Ancient Chinese scholars though these fossils were dragons and other mythical creatures and studied them extensively though they also ground them down and ate fossils as medicine, but I think what he meant was “the first fossils studied to be understood as the remnants of ancient creatures”

You should've added that feathers have been found on a variety of non-avian flightless dinosaurs from incredibly well-preserved fossils which include not only bones but also feather impressions. It appears, according to many paleontologists who specialize in avian dinosaurs and how they evolved to become our modern birds, that feathers appeared first as either or both extra-dermal ornamentation for the purpose of insulation (like hair is used with respect to mammals) and/or social display for mating needs. Only later in dinosaur evolution does it appear that feathers found application with regard to flight.

You can study palaeontology as a BSc, but I studied a lot of palaeontology in my Zoology degree, so I think you've made the right choice. You'll no doubt do a module on evolution and be able to specialise throughout your three years. Start looking at you options as a post-graduate student and begin contacting professors who's work interests you. It's also likely there will be societies through your university that will allow you to explore palaeontology further and there are many other groups

Dinosaurs are a lie created by the Royal societee in the 1800s commissioned on purpose to push Darwinism and evolution. They even went as far as saying An asteroid took out all the dinosaurs.. Which we know is not true because there is a dome over the Earth permanently fixed Royal blue sky. So where did this asteroid come from and how did it get in? Why is it that no one found a dinosaur bone until the 1800's ?

@canoebushman5573
@canoebushman5573 4 года назад
are you wondering if the bone isn't decomposed or skin/feathers? Bones will usually won't be decomposed and will be replaced by minerals during the following years. same with skin/feathers (except they are usually broken down). But on the off chance with the right conditions an entire dinosaur could be preserved or mummified if you will. You would have to look into the details yourself, but an example nowadays are bogs. due to lack of bacteria and its a acidic nature nothing decomposes and everything is preserved like it was when placed inside the bog. There was a news story about how they found a body in a bog, they thought it was a recent murder but really it was from a long time ago (and don't quote me on this, but) I think around 100's of years ago. it was that perfectly preserved.

He's wrong about T Rex and his small arms, he actually used them a lot but they don't know what for. A Palaeontologist in America proved the arms had very powerful Tendons that meant it was used with some power regularly but they haven't yet discovered for what and why. And regarding Spinosaurus, I don't know where he got the information about finding fossilized fish in it's gut. Only a paltry few fossil bones and back fins were found and they were destroyed in a bombing raid during WW2. No part of a Gut area were ever found, so I don't know where he's getting that information from. And the size of Spinosarus is complete guess work. They used the fossilized remains of another similar dinosaur to guess what size Spino may have been, but it's 80% guesswork. Unless they find another better specimen then they will never know for sure.

Spinosaurus was discovered in 1912 by German fossil hunter Ernest stormer. Stormer named it spinosaurus because of the spines on it's back stromeralso named Egyptosaurus which is a large plant eater and belongs to a great family of dinosaurs called the sauropods which have long necks and eat only plants and carnivores are very threatening towards them. Stromer also named some theropod dinosaurs. Bahariasaurus was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs ever discovered! It's name was never much of a mystery because it's name means baharia lizard.charcaradontosaurus was also discovered by stromer and the name means shark tooth lizard and you could say it is named after the great white shark. Spinosaurus is what set stromer on the right track to becoming a dinosaur palientoligest and the fossils are very elusive. Stromer suffered terribly in world war 2. Stromers sons were all sent to the front lines and only one of them survived which was his granddaughter rotfluts father. Another tremendously disastrous event took place in the time. Hundreds of fighter planes dropped thousands of booms on Munich and destroyed the Musiem and that was the exact place where the skeletons that stromer had discovered and were crushed to smithereens in the booming and spinosaurus was lost to history! But new discoveries have been made but still little is known about this amazing preditor.
@philipgior3312
@philipgior3312 5 лет назад
Stromer pleaded with the curator to move the fossils to a safer place in the museum's basement but his request was refused, the museum curator being a Hitler appointee and staunch nazi and Stromer being a dedicated scientist first and foremost. As a result the first Spinosaurus and the majority of the other fossils Stromer had collected were lost to history.

@@mikesnyder1788 Hey, here's another WW2 fossil related story: The AMNH in New York had the first 2 T-Rex skeletons. Fearing the city might be bombed, the museum sold the 1st specimen ever found, but the least complete of the 2, to the Carnegie museum in Pittsburgh for a paltry sum. They felt it important that the type specimen be saved in case the fossil collection met a similar fate as that in Berlin.

ROFL - you just told us dinosaurs became extinct due to an asteroid (which would have obviously caused tectonic disruption - i.e. earthquakes and volcanic activity) then in the very next breath you say that birds evolved from dinosaurs (which one's ~ the dead one's???)
@user-te2em4zf5i
@user-te2em4zf5i 3 года назад
What you’re not understanding is that not all dinosaur groups died during the KPg mass extinction. To put it simply, most large bodied dinosaurs, went extinct following the events of the Chicxulub impact. Most organisms the size of a raccoon survived the after effects of the initial due in part to requiring less food, and therefore less resources to survive. That’s why early mammals, reptiles, and small dinosaurs, and primitive birds survived. The dinosaur and ‘proto’-bird groups that did survive would evolve to fulfill the ecological roles that modern birds inhabit today. On the same note, primitive mammals and reptiles would evolve to become the dominant megafauna in later time periods, which includes us.

@@jesussaves1875 Though yes that crater is bigger than the Chicxulub crater, it has no bearing on this discussion. The Vredefort crater was formed over 2 billion years ago, which is roughly 1.95 billion years older than the Chicxulub crater. As far as extinction, is it not evident from the original statement that for evolution to occur, extinction of certain groups is necessary? Non-avian dinosaurs are of those dinosaur species that went extinct, leaving avian species to dominate these empty niches. The precursor species that survived the KPg extinction became, well, extinct in the lapse of 65 Ma; evolving into other separate species and organisms.

Icthyosaurs, Pleisiosaurs were actually discovered by Mary Anning. However, because she was uneducated, and "just a woman", the credit for them by Wiliam Buckland, the "discoverer" of Megalosaurus.

Christians are more than willing to ignore large sections of their Bibles, but if they accept evolution, they have to ignore the part that connects them in a familial way to their god, and that's a difficult thing for them to do.

David'sSon Over 50% of Christians agree with evolutionary science, so they ignore Genesis. The rest have to ignore the fact that Genesis says both that man was created before the animals, and that the animals were created before man. Anyone who understands that the Earth orbits the sun has to ignore the obvious ignorance of the makeup of the solar system by Genesis' authors. And that's just the first book. As for God's "grace", he kills huge numbers of people to solve problems, over and over, and commands that his favorite people commit all manner of atrocities. He told Moses, his favorite man, to whom he gave the Ten Commandments to murder hundreds of thousands of people, then take their 32,000 virgin daughters, some of them babies, as rape slaves. The vast majority of Christians completely ignore the teachings of Jesus, which, apparently will get you thrown in boiling sulfur hell, but they don't actually believe in heaven, so they're not all that concerned about what some hippie said anyway. Jesus said that you must be poor, and you must act like a little child to get into heaven. Practically no one pays any attention to those commands. Jesus tells us to love our neighbors, but beat our slaves. He tells us to kill our children if they disobey. In the end, it's Jesus, himself who promises to fly down on a horse (like Muhammad) and kill over 2/3 of the population, and torture us forever, for the terrible crime of not believing in a god who hides. That's over 5 billion people. The core of your religion is slaughter and torture. There are just enough "nice" verses in the 1800 pages of murder porn that is the Bible, to cover one wall of a bathroom stall. "No man comes to the father but by me" is a euphemistic statement that really means "Believe in Jesus or go to hell". No Christian puts Isaiah 45:7 on a bumper sticker on their car: "I create evil" - God God isn't going to bless anyone. He's way too busy not existing.

David'sSon I have "learned so called Biblical facts"??? God kills, over and over and over. It's not just his favorite way to solve problems, it's his ONLY way to solve problems. The Bible is 1800 pages of murder porn, with enough nice verses to fill one wall of a bathroom stall. Your god was made up 3400 years ago by a bunch of violent, ignorant, sexually-repressed Hebrews living in the desert of the Middle East. You can cherry pick all your favorite verses, the ones that you feel make your religion look good, and quote them to anyone who will listen, but the rest of the Bible is still there, in all its disgusting glory. The funny thing is, none of the great, genocides of God left any archaeological evidence. None. Zero. The very core of your religion is salvation, and that salvation requires the slaughter and eternal torture of all who are not "saved". Your religion is based on slaughter and torture, and avoiding slaughter and torture by believing in a god for whose existence there is no evidence. The funny thing is, I haven't ever met a Christian who pays the tiniest bit of attention to the teachings of Jesus. You don't sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor. You don't act like little children. You don't beat your slaves. You don't kill your children for disobeying. IF I were to abandon reason and logic and pick a made-up god, I wouldn't pick yours. I don't believe that killing people is a solution to problems. I don't believe that there is anyone who needs to be tortured for any length of time. I'm a peaceful man.

I call bullshit on the meteor but what ever, we know for a fact that not all the dinos were taken out and we know that small body meteors blow up in the atmosphere before hitting the ground and there is no president for a six mile wide meteor, however if Emmanuel Velicofski is right its possible but the time frame is wrong.

"Nothing" isn't really nothing. There was something before the big bang, does it make sense in our concept of dimensions, matter, energy and particles? Probably not. But there was "something" before time. Asking where did this "something" came from is a stupid question, since there was no time, there was no "before", does this "something" has to be an intelligent being? We don't see evidence that it should. Now we have solved the answers to almost all questions religions claimed to solve, we know why it rains, we know how crystal minerals are formed, we know how mountains are made, deserts, stars, planets, galaxies and we even know how life can become complex starting from a simple form, ultimately we do not have the answer for "how is life made?" and "how is the universe made?" but science will get there. As an example, crystals like diamonds are made under very specific circumstances, as a result of a natural geological process. As far as we know the universe could simply be the result of a natural process, not necessarily from a god. Also, you are most likely trying to believe in a god which cares about you which left a sacred book for everyone to read (which was unsuccesful) and who sent his own son to be tortured so that he could forgive us from HIMSELF, not only that but this book is full of contradictions, has many copyright issues, which i expect other religions will sue eventually and is full of bigotry, machism, slavery, racism and violence. Now try to defend your book by saying that the universe must have been created by someone but it has nothing to do with the premises your book makes, world created in 6 days, world is 6000 years old, global flood, guy resurrected from the dead, no evolution, plate tectonics is wrong, earth is flat, earth has pillars, the sun revolves around the earth..... and on and on.. IF you happen to believe in any of these things i will ask you to be consitent with your arguments, "Now show me how can a guy resurrect 3 days after being dead" "Show me an example of divine intervention or creation", "Show me in a way that everyone can understand and replicate a god."
