@@chiefscheider First I'll say that I loved Roy Scheider in Jaws, Marathon Man, All That Jazz, etc, and now I'll say don't post stupid, generic, and smug comments like that. I didn't know James, but went to school with and was very good friends with the girl he dated and was engaged to be married with (back in the early 2000's), and there was way more to it than that. Us mortals really have no idea what it's like to reach that level of fame, so until if and when you have that experience, you shouldn't throw your critique on it. Do you post "he deserved what he got" on John Belushi vids as well?
Like it’s crazy I’m 23 years old and got to see the whole series last year and rewatching it again but man I swear every time I see a certain movie I would think dang he would of been perfect for that role or even a side character in this other movie like not going to lie I would of love to see him play a general in a Star Wars film
@@shrekdaddy6912 You can tell when James Gandolfini is being James and not Tony. You can tell when Michael Imperioli is being Michael and not Christopher. You literally cannot tell the difference between Tony Sirico and Paulie Walnuts lol. May he rest in peace. Buon anima.
It’s a fun and fabulous bit! Thank goodness it was filmed while the cast was intact, which is no longer the case, I’m sorry to say. And thank goodness we can watch it over and over on RU-vid.
@@coffeehigh420 yes it's like a quality loss of once TV greatness both for late night TV and for action crime drama shows , , they give us middle fingers like reboot of Magnum or should it be "tiny Hector Sanchez Magnum and the other insult to fanbase Hawaii 5-O reboot , how low is their standards that James Corden got to host established talk show , , they have made NO attempt to restore quality just brainless offerings like the "Masked Singer", and, the trash fire reboot of "Quantum-Leap" , , did enjoy ""NCIS New Orleans"" but for the majority it's only a few crumbs of quality left on Broadcast Television and that's a complete shame , , , reliable Conan O'Brien ruined his own format cut his loyal band loose ,and is wasting people's time dorking around as a Cable TV Podcast more or less , how the big have fallen indeed , so I get it , , I "feel" the emptiness of current TV entertainment , , , ,the "streaming services" don't wow me enough to keep paying for them either , , ,👽👍
@@EdKazO-Vision A little. You would think with the thousands of hours of footage they have, they could have dubbed the intros over with just applause alone.
For anyone wondering why the applause audio cuts out when music is being played, the band played the Sopranos theme in the studio to introduce the cast members but they don't have the rights for it on RU-vid so they dubbed over it with some stock music.
@@macadoodle1237 that was from 5.3 "Where's Johnny". This was from either after Ade was killed off or after the finale for season 5. The former is why Drea said what she did.
I had the pleasure of meeting Michael Imperioli in Santa Barbara at an art auction event in early June 2013. I said a quick hello and told Michael that I had just watched the "Pine Barrens" episode. He smiled and said "that was a good one". Fun night. Mr. Gandolfini died two weeks later on June 19th (my birthday).
The more time that passes, the more perfect Aida seems for Janice. She looks just like you would picture his sister, she sounds just like his sister, and her acting was so damn good
@@macwyll Yeah she was good in that role, i could not stand her, i have a cousin who is a mirror image of her down to the same mannerisms, i cant stand her either, lol
For my 60th, my wife had purchased me the entire DVD set. I couldn't imagine a more personal and thoughtful gift. Seeing the entire cast together, ( which no one but Dave could do) brought tears and sadly the passing of James and Tony. HBO's greatest achievement of all time. ☆☆☆☆👏👏👏👏
I kept thinking they over-dubbed it into this video because they couldn't get rights to use whatever original music was on the Letterman broadcast. It seems odd that you can;t hear the audience applauding until the music cue ends each time.
Anything know where I can download or stream "Dum...dum...dum...da da da dum"? My grandma used to sing it to me before bed every night, that song is the only thing I have left of her
@@Cassxowarytrue man, this show is for unemployed people or privileged employed people that work 6 or 4 hours a day maybe other than that maybe students but their attention span won't handle a show like better call Saul or the sopranos
One time the late Don Rickles came out on that stage and said to Paul Schafer, “Hey, Paul, there’s a new invention that might help you, It’s called food!”
You ever have any issues wit the DVDs? man i did, specially season 6, several were bad, a buddy of mine, his mom had died and she had the series so he just gave me season 6 as a gift since he wasn't interested in this show,it was also bad, then i bought ANOTHER copy on ebay, bad also, just gave up on it,lol. I have probably 500 DVDs and that series was the worst in quality, maybe i just had bad luck.
I miss him too. The Castle was an excellent display of his range. Seeing them all together again like that this many years later was an uplifting moment. I miss them all.
When i have some one over and i want to introduce them to the show (even though i know they wont watch it after they leave) i always screen "Pine Barrens" for them, its nonstop laugh.
I've gotten into this thing of watching Letterman's past Top 10 lists from different years and it, is by far, more entertaining than anything that current late night crap talk shows spew out every weeknight.
Sometimes as you're watching this show you forget that it's not real. Like seeing them all here not in character (Except Tony Sirico lol) made me realize that damn they did an incredible job.
