I agree don’t buy all of the equipment in the beginning because when I was trying out for softball my mom bought like 400 dollars worth of equipment and I couldn’t even try out Bc it got canceled and we couldn’t even take it back

On time stamp 8:40, I would like to say just how right you are! My team has mostly average height but this one girl who doubles as our setter is about 5'2" or so and she is one of the most powerful servers on our team and an incredible setter! P.S love your videos Koko!

I play softball , and have done track and cross country . I was contemplating doing volleyball cuz of the wearing spandex being Christian but then I realized that it’s not to tempt anyone so I’m not doing it with the wrong intentions. I’ve been binge watching your videos and others because my school announced yesterday that they are having the fall sports and the winter ones that haven’t started starting next month so I decided to sign up for the tryouts , ordered a outdoor volleyball yesterday since it was cheaper and it comes in today . I’ve tried out in another club before but didn’t make the cut, here’s to another try! I don’t mind not getting in the best team but I just want a gym/friends where I can play volleyball at. I just started getting into volleyball but i don’t really know how the process of practice works. I always hear people talk about tryouts and stuff and im like “im supposed to know how to do stuff before i play😂” but i realized it’s probably because im a ex gymnast lol, I’ve only ever played solo sports so this is so know to me, because the process of getting on a gymnastics team is so much different then what im hearing from most of these videos😂. So i think getting into a team sport will be helpful for me. And im 14 so i feel like maybe its a bit to late for me to play, so thx for this video its help me understand team sports alot

1:36 What I did was wear some old running shoes, some spandex we bought and knee pads, and we just bought a cheap ball. I use t-shirts and once I joined a team I bought white shoes and they provided knee pads and stuff. So yeah good point tho.

I have tryouts for my school in about 3 weeks. I’m so scared and I’m afraid I won’t make it. We have a lot of talented girls that have played for over 3 years, and I just got interested in November. I learned almost everything from Koko (and my friends/ neighbors who have played at my house to help me out.) and my friends who play volleyball all day I would be an awesome setter. The one thing I can’t do is serve very well. I’ll let y’all know if I make it (hope so)!!!

Even if you don’t play volleyball I would recommend you get yourself some spandex. They are GREAT for working out, and they are super comfortable, I have a couple non volleyball pairs cuz I love them hehe 😉

Hmm are there any other boys you think are interested in a boys volleyball club? I think you should ask around to see if anyone is interested to then bring it up to a teacher or something if you get enough people interested. Also, I can only try to start clubs at the beginning of the school year, idk about you but either way, it doesn't hurt to ask. Anyway, good luck
