The cave museum and cave are also on my list when we’re in the area-they’re dog-friendly so we can bring our puppy in the cave and ol into the museum! The Mike Rowe story is great 😂
So neat to hear that John Muir was there-we’re headed to Mammoth Cave/Horse Cave this fall, and next fall we plan to see Yosemite! It’s like we’re just following John Muir around. Lol love the history of all our country’s natural wonders. Thanks so much for sharing that!
We are planning a trip there and the KOA camp ground has very nice covered wagons you can stay in along with cabins at the campground. I was blessed to find your video on the area for things to do and wanted to say thank for posting it because it's going to make our trip even better. Thank so much and I have subscribed to see more of your trips.
We’ll have to check this place out when we go to Mammoth Cave this fall!! I do local restaurant researching before a trip too and already had 5 Broke Girls on my radar! Food looked great!
We had never heard of Horse Cave, Kentucky before. It looks like a lovely town. We love exploring caves. We will need to check this place out if we ever travel in that direction. Thanks for showing us around Horse Cave!
Thank you for sharing video. I was tour guide there in 2014 and 2015..I would recommend one of the off trail wild tours. I grew up just ten miles north of the cave, I recently located to Arizona the last two years and really missing central Kentucky... Thank you taking me home..😁
Five Broke Girls looks absolutely delicious! So legit that they have chicken livers on the menu. Visited Mammoth Cave years and years ago, but never to Horse Cave. Would love to head back. Kentucky is super cool and beautiful. John Muir is a legend, love how you included history on him! I love his writings as well. Pretty amazing how that caves works to cool things down in town. Really enjoyed this video guys!
Looking forward to when you can go all the way in and share the rooms in the caves. The 5 broke sisters restaurant burgers sound good. No chicken livers for me.
We were there in early March. It was a beautiful day but the river was high so we could not get in the cave. We hope to go back soon to go through the cave. Thanks for commenting and watching!
So I live in Horse Cave KY and have for several years. Five Broke Girls staff is very polite, however their food is not that great, and they've never won any kind of rewards over any of their food I can assure you. Also has been considered the worst food join in Horse Cave, so not sure where you are getting your information. Locals and friends of that restaurant boosted their rating on reviews. This is a peaceful little town though, sort of 'off the map' so that's nice. The best restaurant around this area is called "little taste of Texas" in Glasgow KY, about 10 miles south of this restaurant, that's the restaurant attraction around here.
im driving from CT in under 3 weeks now. im doing as much caving and biking as i can in my 4 days there. i will be staying in cave city. you brought a drone there? isn't it not allowed. im bring my drone along but i know parks are on the no fly list.
