Top Thrill Dragster vs Kingda Ka 

Even though I prefer Kingda Ka, I truly miss Dragster.

Could not agree more.

I like Kingda Ka Cause its 2 rides instead of just 1 and it perfectly times the drop.

It’s insane.

It was fun to analyze the nuances that separate these rides.

Well, this turned out to be kind of false. The launch is definitely not as intense, which kind of takes away from the whole point of the ride.

Kingda Ka’s launch just feels less sudden to me, and it seems to take a longer amount of time to reach its top speed. It builds up to a higher to speed and intensity, but the point still stands. Everybody has different experiences on each roller coaster, and this is just what I get every time I ride Kingda Ka.

@@ThemeParkAvenue I guess it can feel that way, but technically speaking it doesn't take longer to build up to it's top speed. It just seems contradictory to me to say it's more intense, but also more gradual.

@@think.culture it is hard to explain, but it just boils down to the end result of Kingda Ka feeling more intense even if Dragster starts with stronger intensity than Kingda Ka.

@@ThemeParkAvenue maybe ttd starts at a higher acceleration but it tapers off and kinda ka starts at a lower acceleration but it increases at a fast rate as it gets going down the launch track.

But everyone in your seat will experience the exact same amount of g-forces as you do. Kingda Ka has a stronger launch than dragster and there’s no debating it. It’s just a fact. Now if you wanna say Dragster has a better launch then that’s completely valid, but it def isn’t stronger

They do have their similarities and are quite close in quality for me.

Most people who say Dragster is miles better are saying that 1. Because Dragster was the original 2. It’s at Cedar Point and there is such a bias to Cedar Point in any conversation And 3. They think that the Lap bar gives some more airtime that usually isn’t their because the train usually crawls over the top hat

And YES Kingda Ka is at a trash-can second-rate Six Flags Park that can't even be mentioned in the same sentence with Cedar Point so some may have a bias as far as parks go, But El Toro is better than any ride at CP other than Steve I can be realistic I grew up in NYC going to Great Adv. So spare me the corny hate and excuses Ka sucks in Compassion and EVERYONE knows it. Facts! (Everyone other than Phillyians & South Jerseyens, and honestly, do they count???) JK

That’s kinda funny since height is the one thing I said didn’t make much difference.

@@MrWaffles_YT it’s a copy cat without debate. The only thing unique about this thing is the airtime hill and worse restraints.

@@kaijohnson5033 top thrill dragster is a copycat of stealth at Thorpe Park, which is a copycat of Xcellerator at Knott's. It doesn't make a difference, they're all the same ride type. They each have their own merits and drawbacks.

The restraints are better but they don’t push the ride above Ka for me.

I feel like since you’re really high up for a short amount of time, I don’t normally even notice the parking lot. I am more focused on the view of Philadelphia. Also I don’t mind parking lot coasters at all.

It's hard to judge Top Thrill 2 before riding it.

@@ThemeParkAvenue still a huge downgrade though colors wise name wise and no more full speed launch now it’s back and forth takes away the intensity kingda ka will def have the upper hand now

@@bmezay2003I know man that launch was the best part…. Rip… it’s like buying ice cream, dropping it and only eating the cone and not the ice cream itself lol anyways but hopefully TT2 is still gonna be very fun!

True, but I’ve had reliability issues with both.
