I agree with your assessment. I’ve been using this knife for a while now and I really think that TJ did a great job with this design & execution. Great job on the review.
Love to see it come in at a great price point and I was a little bummed he didn’t stick with his awesome magnacut but I’m actually glad after seeing it perform and obviously the price.
I still think A2 is a great steel. Magnacut would be cool too but obviously much more expensive. I personally think I’d pick 3V for this blade over Magnacut if I was going to pick another steel but I’m perfectly happy with the A2
I’ve been keeping up on this one also I’m super impressed with this one I’m also pretty curious to see if there’s a trail 7 in the future I think it would be a shame not to
There are alot of great aspects to this knife. I am more partial to a drop point though. Any of you guys and gals noticed pros and cons of the more straight back point compared to a more drop point with the tip more inline with the handle? Just curious.
My apologies Gabriel for losing it on the "Other Company"! No reflection on you for sure! Your channel shows people the real life use of these knives and i commend you.The knife itself is good enough for just about anything, but i must say that this aluminum plate should be replaced with simple spring steel. Aluminun bends and stays bent until bent back. Great demo!😎👍
A2 is a great jack of all trades steel. AEB-L would be an excellent stainless option as well. I will say heat treatment and geometry as just as if not more important than the steel selection.
And not a fan of the aluminum attachment. I get it. But not the ideal solution. Still believe that you can’t go wrong with thick leather. But I get it, cost and everything
