Sorry, I smooth brained at 20:36 Snake Eye Ash cannot add Snake-Ey..(edit) nope was not smooth brained… ash can add ash ! Broken. Just a lvl 1 fire woooo
Our lists are almost card for card except I play circle over sky burn cause it’s more generic and can help extend into some cool plays. And I play typhon over Knightmare Phoenix just cause I love having access to typhon. I’m glad you are on crossout tho the card has been testing insane for me
Hey Tom, since you are an ABC enjoyer i believe the Snake-Eye synchro variant will appeal more to your playstyle. Try out 0 FK, full Snake-Eye with 1 Jet Synchron (the target instead of Ponix), then max out Diabel and there Crossout will feel much better as well since you can still run 9-12 handtraps. You get to work with Jet 3 times, it helps discard Flamberge if drawn, and you have option via Formula for Baronne and Savage (even Herald on the opponent's turn if you like). This version is way better against a going second super poly, it has draw power to capitalize on running so many handtraps and doesn't lose so easily to Evenly. Negates out of nowhere in a format like this, on top of what FK-Snakes do (except the Kirin interactions and Sky Burn) will really tilt the balance in its favor. You can even use the Rescue Fire Engine to draw into more handtraps during the opponent's turn while also trigger a Diabel, and Phantazmay so your Droll and Nib will be way more frequent as high-impact handtraps.
Waiting until people realize Droll doesn't really hurt this or Voiceless very much. Until then, I have to build my deck sub-optimally and play it weirdly to counter the main-decked Drolls xD I think by late March at the latest, people will largely stop maining Droll.
I am going to disagree with running crossout rather than more starters/extenders. All too often you are just going to brick on them or draw it plus your other non engine pieces. i've had that happen all too often at locals & online sims.
Bonfire + crossout,. Ash + Cross out, Poplar with Crossout all seems pretty good thats 9/40 Then You Add Diabelle + 3 Wanted that 13/40. I like my odds... of 1 cards starters.
Yep and I think the smaller fire king “package” Is incorrect for tcg. I plan to play 2 garunix, 2 arvata, 3 Kirin, 2 ponix, 2 island, 3 sanctuary and 1 sky burn. This build doesn’t lose to crow and soul release since you still have more resources for follow up otherwise you are kindof screwed.
@@AndrewUdal imo pure Snake-Eye is far more wombo combo oriented with a huge number for free flexspots for staples. While the Fire King version, the more FK cards you run the more it shifts to midrange control with typically max 9 spots for handtraps (but no crossout). I believe Snake-Eyes will dominate because TCG is always combo-focused, but if you like a more control playstyle i would suggest runing at least 1 circle. It's incredible for followup. Personally i'm experimenting with 1 Circle, 2 Sky Burn, 2 Sanctuary/Island, 1 Arvata, 1 Rangbali (yep still), 2 Ponix 1 Garunix 3 Kirin, with OG Kirin in the side and some funny FIRE targets. This version can even run Skill Drain if needed and it's the one that stomps Lab and Rescue, the Snake-Eye version despite being full gas can be stop way more easily. I tested pure Snake-Eye with a list very similar to Jarrid's with good results and the deck is completely different and way more difficult to properly navigate (FK can be a llitttle bit forgiving, but they are infintely more telegraphed)
@@babrad i don’t think pure will be better than fire king version, pure has more choke points, loses to cards like evenly and dark ruler hurts as well, which fire king doesn’t care about. It also has a harder time playing around nib as well. Combo decks in tcg haven’t always been better, look at last format. Fire king snake-eye is the new unchained but better, and manadium didn’t do nearly as good.
@@AndrewUdal I never said that combo is better, but that TCG is way more focused at combos unlike what we see in OCG. Also i disagree with a lot of your arguments. - Fire King has the same chokepoints, but Island is a ticking time-bomb waiting to out your board with a single cosmic cyclone/sp compared to Divine Temple that allows you to play on both turns with your Poplar and Flamberge (even stealing their stuff) - With the exception of starting your combo with Arvata or hard drawing Kirin, you aren't protected as well compared to running 3 Crossouts. But if you run them like Tom, your handtraps decrease drastically since you also need to run Prosperity because FK can be a bit bricky. For example it hurt to not see the SnakeEye engine a lot while you also play less handtraps. - Dark Ruler isn't played at all, but Super Poly is, and it eats the FK variant for breakfast. Evenly wipes the board except an Ambo and then all that is left is Kirin/Garunix where if you were uninterrrupted can turn into an Arvata bases solely on Promethean. On the other hand, you can end on Baronne/Apollo + IP/SP + Flamberge + Formula (for baronne after you used up Apollo or Herald if you have Apollo on field) so that Super Poly won't hurt you and Nibiru can sometimes make your board stronger so it's not an issue. - IMO Unchained were better than FK Snakes because they were incredibly resilient to handtraps, even at the cost of a lower ceiling.. - The comparison with Mannadium is completely pointless because in this case the Fire Kings are like a Kashtira package in said Mannadium deck THAT DOESN'T give you the Snake-Eye combo. At least Fenrir goes into Scareclaws that will turn into Mannadium. All the above are the reasons i am shifting to a control-based Fire King variant with floodgates (way more budget as well) seperate from Snake Eyes (i have both decks)
@@babrad yea so I can say that players who know how to pilot fire kings well don’t struggle with half the issues here. -I play Lancea so cosmic and S:P are useless, so is soul release. I think people will tech this as well since it’s really good for fire king. And if they don’t, there loss I guess. 2 - if sequenced correctly fire king requires a minimum of 2 handtraps to stop. A single snake-eye ash in fire king plays through nib, droll and ash blossom is a joke against fire decks so not even worth talking about that one. Imperm doesn’t matter since there’s ways to extend in fire king anyways, and if you have the Kirin, a card you have equal chance of seeing as imperm statistically, you don’t care anyways. 3 - Yea, that’s the issue. That’s exactly why I’m chilling against snake-eye decks because I know a dark ruler kills almost all their disruption then engine will do the rest. As for super poly, it’s not even close to be good against fire king. I’ve been super polyed a lot and lost like maybe 1 disruption but went + 3 because I get flameberge to summon 2 level 1 and go from there. I also hold Kirin, use it to pop my I:P bring it back later with amblowhale, but most of the time I have enough disruption that it doesn’t matter. So effectively, their super poly went neg 2 and I went +3 at minimum. Not a good trade offer imo. - Unchained does play through a lot of handtraps, but honestly fire king does too. The big different is unchained struggled against board breakers and fire king doesn’t. Fire king is best of both worlds. - the mannadium thing wasn’t a comparison as it was just stating that combo decks aren’t doing that well in tcg. Side note: even players like Pak are recognising the fire king version is not only better, but playing a few more fire king cards is better, and he went undefeated in first even playing the deck so.. yea. I mean he plays circle of the fire king which even I’m not game enough to play lol.
Curious to hear: -It is not a necessity having Fire King cards in hand-... precisely in a Fire King.dek. I think that might be applied more to double Promethean Princess, as you can recycle it. Still, so many thanks for the time and knowledge invested in this video!~ nwn
Good content with slientforcer, ngl even though Sneak Eyes Fire King's previous took over our OCG meta, now Slientforcer has taken almost half of the representation ( due to another support card from Legacy of Destruction, also based on south Korea Seoul meta. A lot of Korean players are more into slientforcer decks than for fire deck in general ) so not many gaps happening so far but I am genuinely curious about what will be happening in TCG meta and format. ( I feel like that's a fun part for me to compare two different decks, meta and card choices) It's seem like TCG is bit more into pure sneak eyes deck which I believe is also a great contender as well. Will see!
I am new and coming back was recommended this deck. I don't have any clue what he laid down for the hand traps what were they? Could you do a text version of your deck? I haven't played in 10 years I cant recognized or remember those hand traps anymore
You can replace them with One for One and more copies of Diabellstarr. That, or Prosperity. It’s definitely going to be worse since you won’t get to both Poplar and Ponix as consistently but that shouldn’t matter too much for locals and possibly regionals.
Of course you can run them without them, snake-eye fire king is already consistent but bonfire is added to make them overly consistent. You can easily replace them with non-engine or extra handtraps
you go wanted in draw phase so they can't droll you. Diabellstar eff to ss and then set original sinful spoils. spoils eff to ss the ash to get you to poplar. on poplar add you can ss with eff. now you have poplar eff to add.
I could play subversion instead but opening original is like kinda crack too.. when they commit so hard to stopping you from adding it only for you to already have it and full Combo them while they are down 2 cards

No matter how flamberge dragon goes to grave it floats into ash + ponix, allowing your opponent search follow up and turning their kirin + princess + garunix back on.
@@tariqmcmaster8668 this makes sense because on the I:P, Sunlight, Flamberge ender board, even if flamberge bring back princess, you have targeting protection through Mudragon. That and you force out interruptions with minimal consequence
It will, but this plays around a DD Crow that could banish 1 and make Flamberge summon nothing since it has to summon 2 monsters. But this is also not the optimal play. What you should do instead is use Flamberge + Garunix for Wolf, then use Flamberge as CL1 and if your opponent does nothing chain Linkuriboh. That way if you are Nibirued you will get to add Kirin back Or Linkuriboh or 2 bodies, while Flamberge doesn't target so Crow becomes irrelevant as Ponix will be there to be summoned. From that point an Extender or Hiita/Dharc will allow you to climb into Promethean so Nibiru is wasted. And if the opponent waits for the resolution of Flamberge you still got your Kirin.
U clearly didn’t see why I got cancelled on twitter 2 weeks ago, apparently buying flamberge dragon at 2 dollars for a month during their release and selling back them after they hit closer to 18 was a big Nono apparently,
It’s not tier 0 because rescue ace will be played just as much and do just as well seeing as how they have about the same ceiling. Only difference is fire kings lose to random shit like shifter and rescue ace doesn’t
same ceiling? Rescue ace is not comparable. Both pure Snake eyes and Fire king snake eyes is far stronger than rescue ace. Rescue ace is an average tier 1 deck, the other two are both tier 0 and have no competitors...
Snake Eye Ash CAN add Snake Eye Ash from deck when its normal/special summon. It CANT send itself and other face up card to special summon another copy of Snake Eye Ash.
@dragonmaxim1154 you mean meta sheep that want to drop 1000 on cardboard that will be useless in a year so they can impress a bunch of stinky overweight dudes***
@dragonmaxim1154 all about the end board results and how to deal with it. Plenty of times where I’ve face this match up and those cards alone do just enough to prevent the pressure it can put on board when going first against this match up. Dweller and silent graveyard does just enough to lower most of that follow up that this deck can produce with a good hand every combo they do has to trigger in grave for destruction so yeah ima stick with these options.
