Any manufacturer that makes a high quality vinyl window will also make a casement option. The ones I mentioned in my video all make casement options available. Some products are not available in all areas, that's why it should be important to find a good dealer near you that can give you some additional advice. I started a website to help people locate a great window company near them. We may have someone in your area. Please visit TheWindowExperts.com
What Windsor model do you recommend as a replacement vinyl window for an all brick home? My supplier in Louisiana recommended Next Dimension Classic for my scenario. What are main differences between Next Dimension Classic & Pro? If $$ was not a factor which would you choose?
Jeff what's your take on ply gem 200 series single hung and 700 series replacement windows I had a contractor come by that swears by them please advise
I'm not familiar with those specific models. However, I do not like that brand of product because it is definitely builder grade. I think you can do much better for just a few dollars more.
I am in the middle of trying to purchase windows and am going insane with all the choices available. I live in the Chicago area and have met with about 8 different companies that sell windows in the area from RBA, Feldco, to many others offering vinyl, fiberglass or composite. I can’t find any of the brands you list in the video locally so I am wondering what you might recommend for the Chicago climate. I seem to like the KHPP Ascent line with heat mirror, the MI Sunrise V5500 series as well as the Marvin Elevate and Infinity series. I plan on being in this home for 30+ years so I definitely want a quality window that will last. I want a window that will keep away the heat in summer, cold in winter and reduce noise from the outside and will last a lifetime. Is there a window that I listed that you would recommend or maybe one that I’ve missed?

I am building a new costal home in the SE market area. The wind zone is 150 mph -DP 50. Do you have any guidance on a good, but reasonable window in this area? I received a quote for Andersen “A” series windows and doors for 136k. 26 windows and 8 exterior doors. Thank you.
awesome videos, thanks i learned a lot. i ended up putting in an order with pella and wrote them a check. pressed on time due to winter coming, they then tell me a week or two after the order was put in that they CAN NOT do a different color on the outside than the inside on their vinyl windows and i would have to go to wood clad. canceled my order after talking to windsor, who said they can meet my needs. have been trying to get a bid for 2 MONTHS from them. at first they said they can not do the color i wanted, that they offer, on the outside and can not do an awning for the size i need, it is like 2-3 inches taller than what they test for (29.5"). i talk to an engineer at windsor and he said put in a special order request. after waiting a 3 weeks, they gave me a new bid with the color on the outside and the awnings, at DOUBLE the original bid. what a nightmare. still do not have windows ordered and it is now the 2nd week of october. totally screwed for the winter.
@@HoustonWindowExperts window and door store in omaha. first bid for sliders was 350 a window, second bid for color on the outside is 858 a window. just got off the phone with them and they said that for a different color on the outside, the cost increases by 75%!! for another 100 per window, i can go with fiberglass.
Great observation.... They've struggled the past year and my hopes are that they get things sorted out soon. The product, once you get it installed, is still very good. They just need to shake out some of the issues of late.
Seeking advice on vinyl windows for new construction. My purchase options in my area are vast. I’ve narrowed it down to Provia Ecolite ,VinylMax Inspire, Jeld Wen, ViWinTech 1150 and Andersen 100. Which would you recommend ?
My wife wants Bronze colored windows. My concern is that our southern facing windows get the full afternoon south Texas sun. What brand isn't going to be destroyed by the sun, color wise? Thanks
With a high quality window, you shouldn't have any concerns about the sun on a dark window. I like Anlin for black vinyl windows and Infinity for composite windows.
Hi Jeff. I have signed with universal windows direct which their brand is called unishield. Found out its made by polaris windows and considered an upgrade. Are polaris windows good?
It will vary by location and the dealer. I'd suggest you visit a dealer near you to get a firm quote. I started a website to help people locate a great window company near them. We may have someone in your area. Please visit TheWindowExperts.com
I've never heard of them. It sounds like a private label. I'd dig further to see who really makes it. FYI, I started a website to help people locate a great window company near them. We may have someone in your area. Please visit TheWindowExperts.com
Nicely done videos, Jeff. I trust your judgement. Up here in north central Minnesota the availability of window brands is either Marvin, Anderson, or Thermo-Tech. Of which, Thermo-Tech is probably the most popular. Do you know of them or know of any problems with them? Thanks. John
Thanks for watching my videos and for your question. We operate in Houston and the Dallas/Ft Worth area. However, we have great relationships with so many wonderful window dealers all over the. Country. I started a website where you can see if we have a trusted window company in your area. Perhaps I can point you in the right direction? Check out TheWindowExperts.com for a dealer near you! All the best! Jeff
They are ok.... If you can get Provia or Windsor, you'd be happier. By the way, I started a website to help people locate a great window company near them. We may have someone in your area. Please visit TheWindowExperts.com
@jeremyhuckeba1769 I just looked online and all I'm seeing from Provia is a stucco flange Accessory for the Accessory groove. I'm looking for a frame with a stucco flange built into the extrusion.
Hi please help n help , my new house near street and my room is so noisy please I need help,so stressful with crazy people driving noisy cars wake me up always so how can I get my room block the noisy ? Help 😢
Jeff, thanks for affirming the NT (Presidential series) windows we had installed a few weeks ago by Maverick windows were a solid choice. Made that purchase decision after watching the compare you did with the Anderson windows!
Hi Jeff, two of the companies you suggested don't have local reps here in the metro-Boston area. I'm looking at windows that are made of incredibly tough yet clear vinyl. Have you posted a video on that type of product? One of the locals is screen mobile of south shore. Here's a link to their demo video re: how durable these windows are. Your thoughts as the Window Expert? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y1Bd7UuJVtM.html. Thank you
That's a unit designed for enclosing a space like a restaurant patio or a garage. It's not really a window you would use in your bedroom or kitchen. I've seen things like this and made a video about it myself. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--WLDKulFjf4.htmlsi=ErCVSzLBEGT8T14N
Jeff, thank you for sharing your link for Defender. Our porch is 50 yards from the ocean and it gets very windy. We want to enclose it and still Have the great view. I appreciate your kindness.
