From all my falling rocks and rock splash, this one was my favourite. size of the rock ad depth of the water was perfect.

It is also similar to hitting the ground. The splash of earth and rock would hit the edge of space and spread out, blocking out the sun. Hope we never see that.

Yawn.....when you actually *do* the drop in person, the experience is profound. Yes, there's a huge splash, but there is also a subsonic boom that reverberates throughout the pond for a fraction of a second that you not only hear, but you can also feel it. When the rock hits the bottom, there's a pretty good thud as well.
