Great explanation. Got my topdon smart and ninja box last week, just wish there was a video about the ninja box. But I do have a question. I have a USB with mercedes and BMW key files that I can make a key if my costumer loses his key, is there a way to plug that USB to the topdon and make that key with the ninja box, or do I have to read information from car itself first? Thank you. This tool is new to me and I'm able to do that with autel im608.

T-ninja Box supports some models of benz and bmw key programming, I've uplaod some key programming cases on Wetransfer: we.tl/t-Nddt9YW7Gq for your reference. But to confirm if it's compatible with your vehicle, we need vehicle model, year and vin. And the normal operation is using Phoenix smart paired with T-ninjaBox to read the vehicle immo data and generate keys(for benz and bmw). We're nor sure if the key files you have will work. If you want to confirm, you could send us the files you have to support@topdon.com, will have engineer have a look.

@@TopdonOfficial thank you. How do I go about in transferring usb files to tablet? I searched every option possible and nothing happens when I put in my usb storage, I can't access the files on it as there is no option to download or transfer files.

Will this work with my 2013 WX STI 6 speed ECM. I need to be able to clone my original ECM including VIN, immobilizer info and keys. Most of the units I have looked at only see to be fully functional with German cars and some Fords. I have a Cobb tuner but that only allows me to program in performance functions.

I couldn't find a video on the artibattery 101 on your channel so I'll ask the question here. I noticed that there seems to be 2 different versions of it differentiated by the font of the name on the device. It looks like the newer one doesn't have the options like in and out of vehicle and before and after charge. Is one or the other more accurate in testing the battery ?

Yes sir, new version AB101 doesn't have the options like in and out of vehicle and before and after charge, it just gives us more convenience on operation and a programmed algorithm to automatically recognize before and after charge. But the accuracy rating of old and new one is the same, just the operation is optimazed.

Hello, I apologize, but we don't have any relevant videos showing how our device diagnoses Tesla vehicles. However, our device does support common system diagnostics and ECU special functions on Model-S, Model-3, and Model-X.

Would be nice to see more coding and programming for US models. I'd hate to jump thru hoops to reprogram a ficm module for a 2013 F150. Or reprogram other modules for US based modules/PCM's.

Hi, for hardware, elite has RAM 4G ROM 64G, smart has RAM4 G ROM 128G for online programming and coding function: 1. they both support online programming on Benz, BMW, VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat. but Phoenix Smart is higher end scanner, it also supports online programming of Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar, Renault, Nissan, Subaru, Infiniti, Hyundai, Kia while phoenix elite doesn't. 2. they support online coding on Benz, BMW, VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat and Porsche, but phoenix smart supports online coding on Renault while elite doesn't. Besides, Phoenix smart supports J2534 protocol while elite doesn't.

You mentioned being able to use factory software with the MDCI interface. Are there drivers or software to download in order to use the MDCI interface as a j2534 interface on a laptop

Our MDCI can be used for the original software, but the premise is that the J2543 driver needs to be downloaded. This J2534 driver is still under testing and has not been officially launched.

Bought your product, have issues getting data from GM vehicles amd getting wrong information same as with mini or bmw. Couldn't pull autovin on a 2016 honda accord

@@TopdonOfficial if you like i can make a vídeo showing it in depth. For the GM vehicles mostly all of them and the names of the modules don't show up and when reading codes it's gives the wrong codes compare to my other scanners. On mini had a misfire on cylinder 4 but the scanner was picking it up on cylinder 1. Main reason I bought it was for diagnostic and to leave my autel im608 just for keys but very disappointed

Hi Jay, The latest version of Phoenix smart is currently available with our phoenix scope, and we will sell the phoenix scope separately in the future. However, it is not supported with other oscilloscope brands at the moment.

This "on-line" coding or programming, what is that all about? Does that mean if I do not have internet service, I can't do coding or programming? Why not have a stand alone system?

Hi Christian, online coding and programming require to get data from server, we have to connect to a stable network to get it work. for your information, off-line programming is risky cause you have to make sure the data input is correctly without any fault.

@@achristian7015 For example, models such as Ford/Mazda/Vauxhall/Opel are programmed offline, and offline programming can be performed without network. The programming we generally refer to is the online programming of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Audi models, which is used to download programming files from the server to update when there is software problem or ECU is abnormal to solve the current problem on the vehicle. Another way is to replace the second-hand ECU for cloning, back up the data of the original ECU and write it into the new ECU. some models like Benz, BMW, VW, Land rover, Jaguar programming files can only be obtained through the server of the vehicle model manufacturer, generally they are unable to be downloaded and saved.

I’ve made multiple reports but they never fix the glitches. First absolutely no special functions for a 2012 Cherokee or 2014 Chrysler 300. 2nd will not program key fob for 2017 Ford Edge. Many more

Please tell me which sepcial function you're referring to? And Phoenix Smart doesn't 2017 Ford edge program key fob, T-ninja1000 can support fyi. Besides, about the glitches you said, could you please send some pictures or videos showing the glitch to support@topdon.com? We'll analyze and evaluate and try to fix.

It’s in special functions. Then have internet connection which I do. Hit enter says security access denied. Then give a Chinese error code . I’ll send you screenshots

Yeah i had a phoenix elite. Very disappointed. All the futures you guy's show here. When i used my tool. None of the service functions worked. Even abs bleeding. This in my eyes is more talk than truth. Can't even do life data reading to show injectors and say spark.

Hey, did your problem work out by Topdon, just curious as Im reading the threads here. For out of the box and expensive investment. Many Service Features are super limited and non-existent. They should already have it all preloaded like Launch does. My buddy bought a new Launch after his Matco he lose his bluetooth OBD connector. Ive been using that and Snap on but thought I buy a new toy to work on my german cars. Seems like too much glitch or lack of features. Takes so much longer to scan the modules on TopDon vs Launch and Snap on. Why so

you need to tell people the truth about your 1000+ scanners. if you don't continue the upgrades, you lose bi directional features and these bocome a 200 dollar scanners.

Hello， as reconfirmed with product manager and engineer, if you don't upgrade, the bi-directional control function will still be avaible, the only difference between upgrade and don't upgrade is that we can/cannot download the latest version of softwares in UPDATE menu. @@TopdonOfficial Correct. this is a very important point that most buyers are not aware of which would make them pause.unfortunatley this is not only Topdon issue and every other manufacture and it borders on illigality. we pay for features and if we dont update, you take away what we spaid for in the fiorst place. I can see we shouldn't get updates or other additional functions but to take away what was paid for is illigal like you buying a car and unless you take it to dealer for service, they take away the air conditioning and few other neccessary fucntions.

3rd the graphing sucks. Needs to have minimum and maximum on graphing. Snap on graphing superior over it. Take notes from snap on about graphing
